| Was Sagebu really made this year? It looks no better than Elfen Lied. Botato said: kikohunter said: Should be 8.50Botato said: It ended but what the hell. Reminder that Sidonia no Kishi is underrated. It has a great cast and interesting story with many mysteries, mind-blowing sound effects, great OST and the CGI animation enhances the experience instead of ruining it. A score of 8.10 is fine for Sidonia, you're making it sound for more then what it actually is. It's underwatched not underrrated. It really shouldn't. The SoL type moments were just too awkward for that. |

Also any complaints that there wasn't character development are as invalid as the similar complaints about NGNL. They are both incomplete with their respective original sources being far ahead and still ongoing for God knows how long. Brb watching egoraptor's newest sequelitis (objectively better than your precious animu). |

| the problem with Knights of Sidonia is that Tanikaze is presented as someone who should be a flawed character, yet pulls through every time without fail. The only time Tanikaze had a chance to show that he could fuck up, it was really Kunato being a prick. Was pretty disappointed by that. Also wasn’t too keen on a lot of the character interactions with the chicks on Sidonia, made the show feel like it was a bad LN adaptation some times. |

Anticlimatic deaths can be pretty powerful when done right, Legend of the galatic heroes had a really really REALLY powerful one where one of the characters simply passes away in his chair reflecting on all that has happened and what his existence has meant up to this point and for the future. What im trying to say is that those anticlimatic deaths over small meaningless mistakes with no bearing for the greater picture are realistic and very possible but they dont automatically get a pass because of it.JizzyHitler said: There's actually instances where anti-climactic deaths can give more meaning to a scenario, albeit not as a result of choking on McDonalds or eating too many crayons. The problem with 'love at first sight' in storytelling mediums is that they do not invoke any real emotional connection to the viewer, unlike a more developed/'explored' romance does. |

Katanagatari Berserk Btooom Chrno Crusade (heard it's good, didn't watch/read it) Girls of the Wild's Gantz (sorta) I haven't seen most of those, but I liked the end of Katanagatari and REALLY liked chemistry between Casca and Guts. In Gantz case, the romance is vital for the protagonist's character development. If you are interested in it, I suggest reading the manga or watching the first season, and switch to the manga. jpem said: Such a shame FMP will go forever unfinished. Can I watch the comedy spin off? I only watched 7 episodes of the first season of FMP. |
