| Kokoro Connect and Anohana had more character development and adapted the theme of friendship, love and struggle WAYYY BETTER than clannad in like 12 episodes while clannad took a whole season 1 to get good. Not to mention clannad for the most part was boring as hell and tomoya was a bland character. It was sad though I admit. |

After Story was the reason I loved Clannad in the first place. I was actually very bitterly disappointed when I first saw Clannad, especially considering I loved Kanon 2006 so much. Air was good too but I didn't love it as much as Kanon. I really liked Clannad's cast (except Fuko, can't stand her, didn't care for Kotomi and my opinion of Nagisa has changed since then) but the story was a complete let down and I wasn't entertained by most of it. If it wasn't for AS, Clannad would have never made it to my favourites. I prefer Clannad over AS. AS was mostly boring until *spoiler*; and the end was really bad as well. |
