| The first episode of Highschool of the Dead was great in my opinion. It introduced the main cast, showed some good action against zombies and a fair amount of ecchi. Shingeki no Kyojin's first episode is also quite memorable, especially that ending. In retrospect, even Steins Gate's episode 1 is really good, even though I didn't appreciate it that much in my first watch. |

| I started watching both Death Note and Naruto recently. I didn't think I'd like either but both had 1st episodes I loved. Death Note is probably my favorite though. |

Cmon, it has gore, awesomely animated fight scenes, side-splitting comedy, the super-attractive Blair the Witch, scythes, Lord Death himself, and an immediate explanation of the plot. Runner-up goes to Trigun. Like 90% because of the last minute with Johnny Yong Bosch's (as Vash of course) laugh that turns into a scream |

| Tasogare Otome x Amnesia's first episode had me in love, thankfully it kept up the same atmosphere and dynamics. Ergo Proxy's first episode was pretty lights out as well. Also Snk,Psycho-Pass, Darker than Black, Durarara, and Higashi no Eden. |

| Mirai Nikki and Angel Beats!. Those two got me hooked from the first episode, and kept me hooked till the last one. Other ones with good first ep are Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and Kokoro Connect. There have been more as well, but those are the ones I can remember. |
