During the beginning when Touma was explaining to index that the space elevator was always there, if you go back to the scenes in the series, the space elevator was never there.

The movie would be good if Index doesn't bite Touma/annoyed Touma(or the whole movie).

And what happen to Arisa(and the other girl, forgot her name). The movie did not show what happen to her after they merged...

Wow... Kanzaki was fighting in space without a helmet. I was so surprised and confused that my chin touched the ground. I know she's a Saint but come on...

And even though I like Touma, he was moralizing too much.

Anyway epic movie is epic.

Pretty good stuff. The only things that still bother me is:

What are they going to do with the genocidal immortal loli-hag?

Not that I'm complaining but, why was Shutaura nude in the end?

I figure Arisa fused together with Shutaura since she was born from her wish/consciousness afterall, but what happened to Shutaura in the end?

And finally, what did Touma and Index hear at the end; a faint singing voice of Shutaura/Arisa/saint hybrid?

Filler movie is filler. Is it really that much to ask that a movie of a T.V series anime actually progresses the main plot? =/

I highly doubt this will ever tie back to the proper plot of Index in any significant way, so I'm not too worried about all the plot inconsistencies or unsatisfying ending.

It was entertaining and quite a bit better than I expected it to be, though to be fair I expected it to be pretty bad.

I know the plot wasn't that awesome but the movie was epic imo.

Totally loved it...except for a few of Index's annoying scenes =_=...Though she was pretty BA at the end.

Loved Arisa a lot. That girl is sooooo cute <3 And if she stayed I would've even shipped her with Touma XD

Their interactions were so nice and how she blushed when she found him cool was KAWAIII <3...No wonder she has lots of Fan arts XD

Loved her songs a lot too.

Stiyl seems to have a harem of his own now XD

And Damn Kanzaki was BA!!! I've always wanted to see her in outer space kicking ass after I read it in the LNs and we got to see it in this movie! Damn that was EPIC!!! And the animation was wonderful :D

Mikoto kicking ass with her Railgun was awesome! And she was cute on stage <3

Accelerator's little screen time was awesome being himself as usual XD.

And the Sisters kicking ass as well was nice too :D

Accelerator and Sisters made no sense to the movie. it was like they were just thrown in fill the needed holes that the main characters couldn't do. They made no sense.

Shutaura was also a pretty nice character. I liked her a lot especially at the end when she started singing was cute ^^...Ofc after she got IDTI'd by Touma after some preaching XDXDXD

Anyway pretty good movie with all the characters playing a good role and Arisa was cute so all is good :)

Arisa would have been a fine addition to the Indexverse but she would have then turned it into a love square. It's bad enough with Index getting jealous of Touma and Kuroko getting jealous of Misaka.

It's more or less canon. Secondary canon though.

There is also an exclusive novel that came with it.

So, here we are, after all that waiting, finally my glorious, eagerly anticipated Index movie! Woohoo...ooo...oo...oh. They made a mindless filler out of it. Aaaaand they created a ton of random asspull plot devices just to get every single Raildex character at least a minute of screentime. Weak.
Oh and, a tower that big probably wouldn't be able to stand in the first place... But yeah, you know... Science! Disregarding that though; so, they've built the first space elevator, and a huge space station... And instead of using it for research... It was made as a concert hall? Ahahahah yeah right. And how did the audience ever get there or leave in the first place? The elevator itself is never shown, except the one-person pod Shutaura used.
The shit CGI animation of Arisu's movements during her concerts was shit. Talk about a slideshow... I was really disappointed there.
Random fanservice everywhere. Shutaura gets magically nude. Bleh!
Kanzaki is a pretty cool girl, has anti-vacuum magic, falls to Earth from space and doesn't afraid of anything.
The whole part with the pillars made no sense whatsoever, I mean, the idea was to... Destroy the tower's supporting pillars... So it wouldn't collapse? What? Oh and why didn't they just ask Accelerator to balance it? That would have been easier. But obviously they just used it for character screentime.
AND YEAH TOUMA GRAB YOUR ASS!

Overall, flashiest filler in Raildex ever. Demo, filleru wa dameee~!

Wasn't the very description of imagine breaker, that it could dispel any miracle of god?... Pretty sure that's how he explained it to index in the first season. I could accept it if it had the dispel effect, yet showed to be too strong or regenerative to be negated, but no effect?.. nope.

Also, the person who was immortal due to magic.. Just get touched by Touma, become an ordinary person (or, they may even just dissolve since it was only the spell keeping them alive) No need to blow up half the planet.

Was Arisa's dance made with whatever they use in Idolmaster or whatever?
My one complain, isnt Innocentius supposed to be limited to the area the card/runes are placed?Still pretty awesome compared to the tv series Innocentius.
MISAKA(probably 10032) was pretty cool with that plasma cannon or whatever it was.

I wonder if we will ever see Black Crow unit or Shutaura ever gain in the novels.

Story wise I liked it way way more than The Queen of the Adriatic Sea arc and the Hawaii arc.

That is the description according to Touma. But still cant dispel Saint powers and I am willing to say the same goes for the not yet seen Vampires...Since Arisa is a Saint or the Saint powers of Shutaura there is no problem here.

It was a fun film to watch but i was expecting more from all the good things i kept hearing about it before it came out of blu-ray.

The animation and fight scenes were top notch that initial fight of the 3 witches vs Touma with him dodging the ice was really nice, though the cgi Idol concerts were kind of crap they could of looked better.

Story wise it suffered it needed to be longer and they threw in far, far to many characters so the attention was much to split. Even the antagonist did not get enough screen time which meant they got no development or any real background information and tbh their role seemed to just great thrown out towards the end and they just faded completely into the background with even very little closure on them at the end.

They rather forced some characters in just to give them an appearance and had them show up at exactly the right time, i would of rather they concentrated on Touma and Index and maybe one or two others and i would of liked to of seen more of Stiyl and his group of 3 apprentices but they also faded more and more into the background towards the end.

It started to really get rushed though when they went into space and from that point on and was rather lacking both Touma's confrontation and Index's confrontation seemed to be lacking due to time.

It was a fun movie yes but it could of been so much better from some of the hype i saw i was hoping for it to be as good as The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya but sadly it turned more into one of those lacking anime films, but never the less still a entertaining watch.

Also i laughed at the fact even in the Index film that Anti-Skill are still useless, poor them they will forever just be fodder.

Still, anti-vacuum Saint powers sound just as unlikely.

About Accelerator, well afaik, those 2 girls from Anti-skill know him, they're the ones who arranged for Last Order to live with him, but that's besides the point. My point was- he got there somehow anyway; and he could have done a lot more if the whole scene wasn't an excuse to drop in characters.

The gun Misaka 10032 uses confused me, because I believe it's supposed to be a mechanical railgun, but it didn't behave as one. Either way tho, it was just shoved in there as an excuse for selling a new figure of her...

The visuals were pretty much top notch and the action also very engaging. That said, the filler plot obvious left something to be desired. I noticed in the first half hour or so that there really was a good atmosphere going there so thumbs up for that. I knew the film wouldn't end without Touma pulling his classic one liner falcon punch combo so that didn't disappoint.

Overall, best visuals yet, I was pretty engaged at the start, and an interesting premise for the story to say the least. No ground breaker here, but I liked it and I think it was a strong effort.

She did it before in the New Testament novels.Well chronologically the movie is before that NT2 but anyway.

Her job is to keep him and Last Order away from all of this. And he appeared there just like he appeared in from of Awaki in the Remnant arc. Also we dont know if she knew about his powers that one time he met him before the movie events.

Looked like a plasma gun to me.MISAKAs and Accelerator with Last Order are important chars of the series. It is weird that they created a harem for Stiyl and reduced the screentime of those chars.

I kinda get that they wanted to jam in as many characters as possible, (I mean we see Fukiyose for literally 2 seconds) but I was wondering a similar thing about introducing new characters that don't really get an opportunity to play a larger role by the end.

Personally, I thought the addition of MISAKA & Accelerator was a bit contrived, it came very late and perhaps they didn't even need to be there.

I think they just showed them back in the living room of their home. Well, it was late, but it was probably just to pander the audience. I'm sure they know well enough there are tons of Accelerator fans and Misaka fans, so they had to put him in there. Of course it was a nice cameo, but perhaps not 100% needed, although I absolutely love how they brought the whole Railgun cast in, seeing Saten was a treat.

As for the others yeah, I think they were just purely there for fan-service, aside from seeing their powers and knowing Stiyll is their master not much was said about them. The blonde one(spearhead Marie) reminded me of Diana from Little Witch Academia so +1 for dattt.

Anyways, I enjoyed this movie thoroughly. I'm not too big on a lot of anime movies(for series anyway), but the animation was top-notch, awesome soundtrack(the concert songs and everything were great), saw plenty of familiar faces and many new and while I still feel as though a few questions weren't answered to me at the end the story wasn't all that bad!

By the way does anyone know what they 'heard' apparently at the end?

You know, the fact they consider the power of miracles a way to kill themselves (Do you associate Miracle, and blowing up half the planet in one idea?..), you'd really think they would consider a power that just erases magic the moment it was seen. I also don't see why index didnt just inform her of Touma rather than studying the magic..

Also, wouldn't it of been better to just let Touma go touch the magical circle? Touma had no way of knowing there was danger where Arisa was since stiyl's group was left behind, so why would he need to go there. Instead, the core of the magic circle, where the big boss is, lets just send index unprotected there where she has to decode the magic circle, as where he could just touch it instead, and punch the bad guy.

The boy and IB isnt known to all and many if not all dont get how his power works just by seeing it once by far.Hell even seeing up close(Izzard) didnt give them a clue at to how it works.Misaka fought him so many times yet never thought that his power will work on Accelerator. And she isnt stupid.

You would think that someone that would think of a plan that could blow up half the planet and go with it would care if an alternative existed? She didnt seem to care when Index told her that her plan wont work.
Stiyl wasnt the only one targeting Arisa and Index has no way to fight others,Spell Intercept wont work forever.
Index would be unprotected anyway.Whether she was sent to Arisa or not.

To be honest, the movie exceeded my expectations. It was great.

The animation was unexpectedly very good. I also liked the new characters. I think the only thing they could've improved was the story. Also they didn't need to forcefully include all the characters in the movie. Well, I'm happy to see them but it felt kinda weird especially Accelerator helping them out.

Awesome movie. Better than hxh's movie. 8/10
