I don't want to drop any show, because if not anything I don't like I wouldn't watch it, sometimes can surprise you and sometimes is watchable. Other times you have to spend your time and watch shit, but really, it helps me because let me enjoy more the shows thar are good.

And if I drop bad shows my list would be only 8-10!

My dropped list has some anime that I think I'll continue to watch some day when I get the chance, sort of a long hiatus (FMA:B for instance), but mostly it's just shows that were either awful or just so ehh that I had to drop them.

I see no reason to subject myself to something I don't enjoy, that's why I do drop series that fail to engage me.

I don't drop any anime, though there's a possibility an anime will be on hold until I finish watching every other anime in existence. The only anime in my dropped list are ones that I dropped before I became a completionist, and I am still going to finish them when I feel like watching crap.

Its pretty much the same for me, although I have been tempted several times to drop certain anime, I would usually put it on hold (and not watch it for long periods of time).

I dropped Darker than BLACK, because I heard that the second season was shit.

I see no real point in dropping a movie once you've started it, since movies are pretty short compared to series.
Whoever told you that is full of shit, the second season of Darker than Black is pretty good, the only downside is that the ending is really confusing, but an author's note in the manga hints that there may be a third season at some point, so that might help clear up some of the confusion.

Darker than Black S2 isn't as bad as people say and you ought to at least give it a chance.

I think 3 of the main problems people have is: Hei's personality changes, MC changes and the ending is really unclear

Maybe I'll pick it back up, it's just that I liked the first season and was worried I might ruin the series for myself.

Even though I drop quite a lot (especially at the start of a new season where I try to watch every new series that didn't scare me off beforehand.) there are still shows that I watch (maybe something easy to balance out the more serious stuff or it has titties in it) and afterwards think "Why the hell did I watch that...?".

Same for me... i don't really like to have something on my Dropped List. If i don't like an Anime i just delete the Entry and that's it.

But in most Cases i only watch Animes i might like anyways.. i'm not the Type of Guy who just watches anything i come across

yeah but if say-

you was watching something that was good to everyone but you thought it wasn't for you and suddenly dropped it because you didn't like the first few episodes and putted it in your dropped list,

and someone was looking at your list and saw the series you dropped and that person said * keep watching it its going to get better, yeah i know it was slow or wasn't great in the beginning but its going to get better, * and you gave it another try and came to either thought it was good or thought it was ok.

but if we didn't have a dropped list then people wouldn't be able to give there opinions on the show you dropped

If you don't like "romance crap," why do you start watching series that are noted as romances on any anime database site?

In the hope that it might be great? Seriously, this is the type of shit I don't like about anime fans: "If you don't like x genre, why pick up an anime of that genre?". Here's the thing; I hate romance, yet I loved Hotarubi no Mori e. Why? Because I gave it a chance. Picking up an anime of x genre and complaining about it having too much x (eg; people complaining that there is too much ecchi in an ecchi anime) is bad, but what you said is even dumber than that.

I was like that once upon a time but eventually you're gonna grow a, "ain't no one got time for dat" attitude. The faster you learn to spot bullshit the quicker you respond to it, you'll be dropping soon.

Just keep in mind you should always drop because the quality is too terrible to continue watching or you personally aren't into whatever that's being sold. You should always reconsider dropping if you're on a unexcited slope because I've experienced that plenty myself and I can say you could feel differently after a good nights sleep or coming back to it after a while.

I always finish everything I started. Not just anime and tv shows but also in other aspects of my life like in school. I was so close in shifting from chemical to civil engineering but I stayed with chemical engineering and I hope it does pay off for me since I'm currently looking for a job.

Anyway, it's a good way to not have any regrets when it comes to anime (and in life). Finishing it will give you closure. I'm just saying.

Yep, I agree with you there brother -.-

He even rated it a 8, which means he actually liked it! I don't know how that is possible, as it is the worst anime I have ever seen in my entire life. I dropped it and gave it a 1 so bloody fast. I mean I'm a fan of some really heavy ecchi titles, but this was done so wrong it's not even funny. It's almost objectively bad!

The only things I will ever consider dropping are pretentious series that appeal to equally pretentious people in return. Thankfully I am smart enough not to watch a series that I know will be that way, unlike the majority of most watchers who feel the need to be harsh after watching their shows.

Whenever I see people complaining about romance, for no other reason than that it is romance, it always gives me the mental image of a 5 year old covering his eyes and making an ewwey-yucky face when his parents kiss.

I dont watch romance either and Im certainly not one of this kids. I just dont get romance it is simply weird to me, atleast the definition that it has now. So I dont watch it as I would only bore myself. Most ecchi series deppict romance way mor realistic, the evolutionary natural urge to reproduce. True romance!

On topic I usually drop series within the first episode if I dont like it, if its past the first I usually finish it. sometimes I drop it after first episode too like I did with Madoka, biggest mistake of my life as it turned out, since I picked it up again later and it was amazing.

It's best to simply follow the 20% rule, since you just don't know when a series will pick up later.
Better yet, if there's the slightest potential for it to improve, then just keep watching to see if it'll get better while trying to poke fun at the series flaws. I find that it always works.
