| In my case, I don't like to watch anime when the sun is up because it seeps through my blinds and distracts me a bit. When it's dark in my room, I have a "black" background behind my laptop screen which obviously has no distractions. Also, I'm still a teenager and live with my family, so it's nice to have everyone asleep and/or quiet while I watch anime (screaming little brothers or the sound of feet on the floor above my head attract my attention the most). Further, it's at the end of the day that I find myself the most relaxed. So, do you wait until night-time too? Please provide reasons as to why or why not. |

| I thought I was the only one. I like watching in darkness :) Even if the room is dark but the sun is out, it's not the same. Just like going to movies. |

| I watch anime on my iPhone while lying on my bed at midnight. Its complete darkness besides the light emanating from my iPhone and I have soda and chips with me. Every night is a good night :) |

| Love to watch anime at night and certain titles are just better to enjoy at night time yes. And I don't tend to like sunny day-time conditions very much, prefer cloudy or stormy; the darker the better mainly because I find it more comfortable for my eyes. I also hang up dark sheets over the blinded windows in my room to help stop glare and it generally makes things much more comfortable when watching TV or on comp. I wonder if I'm the only one who does that? lol |

| It depends on the genre. If it's sad, or scary, I normally set the mood by waiting for nightfall. Action or comedy on the other hand I watch as soon as they get subbed. ^^ |

| Only for ones that I know will be horrific, thought-provoking, or tragic. I can concentrate better at night, and it helps set the mood. I do for ones like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Another, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World, Perfect Blue, Ima Soko ni Iru Boku, Monster, Angel Beats!, etc. Sometimes I also do it for Uchuu Kyoudai since the moon's out and all. ^^= |

| Haha, that's funny, there is a lot of us. Yes, I do it too, mostly for the same reasons as you. I like it when it's dark in my room and I can focus on the screen better, I feel more relaxed at night and in the evening and it also helps that everyone is asleep. However, it gets harder to stay up late during the week, since I have to get up early for school and stuff... then I don't mind watching anime in the afternoon. But I certainly prefer to watch it at night. |
