| Creepy, creepy village. That maid isn't all that mentally stable too now is she? Victorica's singing was atrocious, but that made it cute as well. =P So Kujo and Victorica are going to get separated. That'll be the scene we've see in the OP. Looks to me that's it'll be her father for some reason. Really wondering who's causing all the casualties at the festival. Naturally the Elder and Maid are the most suspected, but I dare say it could be someone else altogether. |

| Everything in the village just seems really ominous and mysterious, but I feel like Victorica can see beyond that. There are a lot of threads to be tied together, but this seems it'll last for at least a little bit more. Next episode seems really interesting. |

| Heh, another great episode :D Yeah, the current elder or that mad maid seem to be behind the murder. (though I incline to believe that the eldes was behind it, since he would gain much more from killing his predecessor. Now then, the bathroom scene was hilarious...everything from Victorique's singing to Kujo defending her with a broomstick xD The church seem provided us(those who aren't reading the novel I suppose) with an insight of the future(an epilogue maybe? :D) Anyway, just seen that this show is 24 episodes long and I already now that I'll enjoy it to the last. |
| Fact: *Alan was not the one walking after the the throwing of nuts/some kind of fruit cause alan has a brown hair while the one walking around has blonde! *In the preview, kujo is fighting with the maid and the bridge is on fire! -scenes that might help solve the problem: (assumptions) -when the bell rang, birds flew then thats the time where victorica solve the mystery! (maybe someone/suspect runs that time that made the birds fly) <- if so, why did victorica look on the window to know who is it -when they ran on the forest, the bush suddenly moves then bang, the chief fired the shotgun. (its too far yet the hit on the dead man is only on his lower chest that should be scattered - so maybe the man is already dead then someone intentionally move the bush) <- but this assumption makes the remaining guy a suspect so maybe not! ┐(￣ー￣)┌ i'm answering my own assumptions. FML probable suspects: let's just wait for the episode 8. xD but i'll bet on the maid(killer) and the chief(mastermind and accomplice) |

Why would that elder have to look on his watch, if thereá a clock that chimes on the hour. Especially as it's a clock that chimes the number of hours! So at 12 oçlock it would've chimed 12 times, no need to look at your watch. Unless someone tampered with the clock. |

| First thing I have to say is... Kujou is such a pussy. This episode was really good... and I wonder what's gonna happen next. Since i can't be arsed as much with this show... I don't use my brain like I do/did with the Umineko VN... If i was bothered enough, surely I would have suspects by now, or even the culprits. So meh. |

| Note that if the elder's shotgun was loaded with a single slug, rather than loose shot, it would certainly kill a man at that range (not the greatest accuracy though...). Kujo's question was whether they would be together forever, and the elder said their hearts would be, but they would be physically separated (presumably by the second world war). Note that this does not rule out a physical reunion after the war, although the "you will not die together" sounds ominous. Are the novels translated? |

| Damn i can't wait for the next episode! ^^ victorique definitely asked about something else.. either about her and kujo, her mum/dad or i dunno.. She might be very sentimental because of her past but i don't think she'd cry because of her height.. I also feel really sorry for Kujo. I have a strong feeling that the future predicted is indeed true (Who was the old guy who predicted it, again?) because the eyes of the guy totally changed.. Especially when he looked at Kujo closely.. And when he was done predicting it felt as if he "awoke" from a half-sleeping state(i forgot the english term for it xD) I'm curious as to what those "things" with green eyes were.. People?! Still unsure as to whom I suspect to be the culprit. There are still some things I didn't understood - I'll probably rewatch this episode. |
| This episode was great, considering the great twist of actions and sudden deaths and more chaos, at first I thought Victorique wouldn't pull it of this time. I like the way the fortune telling work, especially the line on how their hearts would never be apart. |

This episode was terrific in bringing 2 mysteries. Victorica absolutely got adorable moments as well as dramatic ones. The village and its customs are also a interest worth exploring. I found most cute Victorica's mother, she looks so much like her daughter and it is far more foreseeable when presented a flashback of her but I find it sad she got exiled, especially while seeing her tears. Before the mystery elaboration a la Sherlock Holmes I will say that the maid must be explored since my theories both revolve around her. I therefore with assumption and certain circumstances in this episode find her guilty of coercing Derek into killing Alen/Raoul and of working with someone from the village in accusing falsely Cordelia. This is all based on this episode alone, next episode should tell us really all that may need to be known. About the maid, my first impression the way her face was that is extremely afraid of Cordelia. Not only that but she almost like she was about to gouge out her eyes. The most strange thing is her eyes after the initial impression and that is because they look like she was dead or emotionless. Those eyes look like they saw the worse possible trauma. It is further to note here that the maid is really the most manic among all the crowd just because Alen insulted the customs of the village, something I wonder if Cordelia did to affect that maid like that. It is further to say that her almost eye gouging was repeated later on in the episode, which definitely to me looks like major mental distress and this most visible whenever Victorica is around her since she reminds her of Cordelia. To me it looks like someone traumatized her when she was young or fed her some rather strange ideas that caused her to have such a mental collapse. Certainly it can be argued that she mentally not stable at all, going as far as labeling her manic. About first mystery, the one where the investigation starts to inquiry about Cordelia's accusation of murder. The crime as described by Sergius is shown as Theodore being stabbed with a dagger most likely enough to pierce deeply into his body thus causing a bleeding fatal enough to drain him of his life. Whoever did this had a trust in him by Theodore else he would not open the door nor be caught off guard less the culprit did a surprise attack, that would not be possible if he did not face backwards or the person was hugging therefore trusted enough by him. The home of Cordelia looked small therefore prompting if she was treated less than those who had larger homes, this I wonder due to her job within the village itself. I knew there was something hidden in the floor, comes with mysteries all the time to explore secret storage areas like that. Comes the picture taken 10 years ago or further since Victorica is seen as a small child while she is around 14 years old now. Whoever put it there was a descendant of a person living in the village or someone who did business with the village itself. Hence comes Brian Roscoe, which is confirmed to be one. I wonder if he is one of the three guys, namely Derek himself faking his real identity. One thing is for sure is that there was something there before it was taken possibly the evidence itself. Comes the cemetery of the village itself where more evidence turn up. It appears that on Theodore's grave were markings in French with Cordelia's writing that she is innocent. This proves that she found out something that could have made her innocent but did not have enough time to prove it or it may be that she wanted to leave something within the village for someone who was investigating to take into consideration. The sudden flashing green eyes turn out to be really wolves and I wonder if someone sent them there because there are not supposed to be any that should come close to the village since it has a drawbridge. Regardless Victorica is right about one thing, it would be impossible for anyone to stab that dagger into Theodore's back less he trusted that person to hug them and be backstabbed while being crouched. Therefore I conclude that unless the person who put the picture gets found out things may not move around this mystery much. The maid does looks suspicious enough to assume she may have killed Theodore. Perhaps to frame Cordelia. About second mystery, the incident surrounding Alen's death during the ceremony of the summer army burning down the winter army's chariots is also much circumstantial at this point. I am thinking Derek might be responsible coerced by the maid based on the fact that when it shown Alen insulting the customs of the village of all the people the maid was most manic about it. It also to note that Derek apologized the most for Alen's insolence and that he was seen right before the recreation started. I don't know much more than that and assume a lot through observation but it seems plausible. It also to note that right before Sergius shot in the bush Victorica knew it was not a wolf but that it was a human and Raoul at that. Derek crying besides did seem like he had genuine feelings but there is no telling he might be faking it to make it look real. Therefore I conclude that either he had something to gain from all this or the maid setup him up to it with coercion. About Victorica, she had wonderful expressions during this whole episode. From the very beginning while following Sergius into the village her face was dead down serious. She was already suspicious of the maid based on her facial expression. When everyone was at the table and Sergius was telling what happened to Theodore, she carefully though about it with a serious face. She clearly showed tears of sadness during the grave incident most likely due to her intuition being confirmed of her mother truly being innocent and what was more heartbreaking is her collapse while tearing. That emotionally showed she was devastated at this development that proved 100% her conclusion of her mother being innocent. She was much more the relaxed one in her room while looking at her pendant. My favorite of her in the following spoiler I found her a little funny despite her serious look after being done with her bath. When Victorica smiled for the first time since a while it was nice to see her being positive. It was kind of funny but sad at the same time to see her being teary because possessed Sergius told her she would never gain height. Can't help DNA really. Rest in spoiler |
