I'm happy they re-animated chopper's flashback too of when he joined. | well we only got 3 episodes left probably gonna be 3-3-2 Next week's preview we see Nami, Sanji and Franky so they're out of the way I'm guessing the week after that will be Usopp, Robin and Brook which leaves the final episode to be Zoro and finally Luffy |

| I don't know why, but I get the feeling Chopper's thing is going to end up being longer than the rest of the crew (sans Luffy). I'm glad it was, though, I missed the "I can become a real monster" thing the first time around. |

| Even though I was bummed out seeing a bit of flashback AGAIN , it was well amde at least ! Gogo Chopper >.< I just hope they don't do the same for every member -.- Just get on with it ! I just can't wait to actually say Luffy's hidden msg /o/ Which well I know aht it is from the manga but still , I want to watch it T^T |

She ran away all here life never getting settled or having any friends only that giant which was only a short friendship. Chopper actually was able to find a friend who stayed with him a little bit longer and showed him compassion. That aside. Robin had done that for like 20 years while chopper probably did that for half that time. Still...They're stories are both pretty sad. Oda's pretty good at making compelling stories even in a shounen manga, probably why One Piece is my favorite and the best selling manga of all time. |

| That Don Flamingo creep gives me the heebees and I don't know how the Mugi Wara crew is gonna manage his devil fruit power, but I hope he gets killed ASAP. I love this series but I have to say that flashbacks have become a huge bore. I know it saves on production time and money but, as stated above, so close to the end of the season it makes one wonder what kind of cliff hanger they are gonna leave us with. | It was awesome seeing most of the rookies going to the New World and I'd actually forgotten about Blackbeard capturing Bonney. Also I just realised Apoo has the same voice as Kon from Bleach ;o |

| Loved that episode. It was really good. We saw Boney, Blackbeard and even the b****h Akainu. Ou and Law. xD. The Chopper part was interesting too. Good episode and its gonig to become more and more interesing. |

| So Boney was a prisoner or a slave before judging by the words of Akainu. Blackbeard is such a crazy asshole. Going around playing pirate without a ship. And what was he thinking trying to exchange a wanted pirate for a ship from the marines and obviously telling them his position too. The guy is all over the place. At least he has a limbido, unlike our dear protagonist. He did ask Boney to be his woman after all. Chopper has all the shit he needs there to improve his rumble balls and medical skills. Wow! so Moria might still be alive? He managed a disappearance act before dieing? Anyone else wondering for many episodes now wth is Doflamingo up to? |

| Nice episode. Anyone else notice Blackbeard's crew gets uglier by the episode? Also, the Doflomingo/WG Agent scene was much better in the manga, they had his face covered and there was much more of a mystery feel to it. Now it looks like some fodder WG agent who's probably older than Ganfall (no real threat). Still hoping that Bonney joins the Strawhat crew someday. ^^ |

| We're starting the focus on the others Strawhats since Luffy's latest actions. I highly enjoyed this part with Chopper. He is such an amazing character, and every-time they reminds us of his past it's a punch in my gut =( Chopper has a place where he can upgrade his medical skills and he also stated that if had he "would become a monster" for Luffy. Two words: Monster point. |

| This conclusion has been so great. I must say sometimes I forget how much Chopper has developed. He started in a limbo where he felt he couldn't exist with humans or with reindeer. He was a monster to everyone. He only had Hiriluk and Doctorine. But Luffy, as always, saw through that, fought for him, and yelled at him to shut up and join his crew as he knew deep down he wanted to. But Chopper, even accepted, still didn't feel totally at home. I'd argue a big moment for him was when he felt he had to defend the ship to justify him being on the crew during Skypiea. It burned and he was hurt and when Usopp came aboard he was so scared that Usopp would be mad at him. But he wasn't, he was simply grateful that Chopper was okay. They accepted and loved and valued him for who he is. Now he's not ashamed of himself and he feels he can be himself and fit in. That's what Luffy started and has done for him, and that's what the crew has progressed. When talking about Chopper he's one of my least favorite Straw Hats generally but I think that's because it's been so long I've forgotten all he's gone through, do keep in mind that I love Chopper and he's one of the characters I most personally relate to ever made, so being a least favorite Straw Hat isn't bad at all! He's still on the upper echelon of anime characters for me period. It did make me think though, just how far ahead did Kuma plan! All of the locations the Straw Hats were sent were only amazing for them if they stayed long enough to learn from them and we can assume Luffy's tattoo meant to train for 2 years and meet up again then. And Chopper is at an amazing medicinal area with a huge library of knowledge and on top of that he can train to be stronger physically too. Sanji can learn one of the prominent martial arts in the world from the masters of it, one that uses kicks so he can use it. Franky can learn from Vegapunk even if by observing the lands he's from and talking to the people who know him. It's as if he sent them so they could train for this time and come out stronger which is quite interesting, and he intentionally tortured them all and especially Luffy as if to say, 'hey while all those rookies go and get their butts kicked, stay back and grow strong so you can make it in the New World and not go through this beating we're doing to you guys again'. Blackbeard's took their raft, the one I think I remember from Skypiea because Blackbeard got attached to it apparently and the giant busted it up. As implied last episode Blackbeard caught Bonney, who was crying during the war broadcast so maybe she fought Blackbeard for what he did to Whitebeard. They tried to exchange her for a new ship however Akainu came himself quite hilariously standing on the ship as if to announce he was coming and they ran. Some dialogue Akainu gave implied Bonney got away from the Government in the past which is something to remember. I must say the new Blackbeard crew members feel so 1 dimensional so far. They haven't shown me any character trait about them which stands out so I hope they got expanded on as we go forward. I also want to mention how Blackbeard asked Bonney to be his girl, I do feel he has a history of purposefully mocking people to make them mad- like Whitebeard before fighting him, Luffy in Impel Down about him being the cause of Ace's death, and here when he asked Bonney. Then promptly getting beat up. But this time he seemed kind of genuine.. On top of all of that we got a few big character updates:

| Thanks to Blackbeard, Jewelry's pretty much out of the race to be a new Emperor. It's not like most of them are doing particularly well in the New World so far anyway. Apoo's design makes me think that he's probably from the Long-Arm Kingdom. I can see him eventually turning tail on the insanity of the New World and going back to his hometown to train with Brook who also has a high affinity for music~ Chopper remembering his past and the impact Luffy and his friends had on his life was very touching. I really hope that they'll be able to reunite soon! |
