| Season finale with soba noodles, sushi, and friends! What a fun way to conclude the show and the club members all remembered when they first met together and formed their group. A perfect picture perfect finale imo, literally with their celebration photos. They really nailed this one as a concluding episode imo. |

| Mako going on her foodie journey that's convinced from Mokotaro looking good, and it's satisfying. The Food Culture Research Club back on New Year's Eve to do their clean-up, as Clerk Mayumi passes them off with Mako in hand, it is a long due work for everyone clearing out the staff they don't need. Amidst the fun of Shinon just wanting to goof off, along with Nana and Tsutsuji, Kurea shutting them off to get the work done, and the seemingly so once-in-a-blue-moon club activity of commemorating their pictures as a club together. The dangerous comfort of the kotatsu leaving all the girls comfortably wasted, and Mako having to force to get herself energized to make soba noobles and a sushi spread while the others take care of the dishes thereafter, it's a good night of New Year's Eve with friends as they pass onto New Year's Day to do the regular shrine visit in the dead of night near Kurea's place of praying prayers and drinking amazake next to the regular fire ritual. One more photo to commemorate the club members altogether, and it's a year of fulfilling food-related activities, as the club grows from strength to strength finding new members to experience food altogether. Pretty much what you expect with pure CGDCT vibes with every P.A. Works show, HibiMeshi does that to a great degree. Easily the best of the 3 CGDCT shows this Spring season. |

| “Thanks for the meal” is such a good episode title for this finale because this series was incredible eats. Best slice of life of the season and one of PA works best originals ever. Just a great mix of an awesome cast, everyday moments that were made to feel so special, great food and amazing seiyuus. We were so lucky to get this and Mono back to back on the same day man. I can’t wait to read the manga adaptation that got announced. Food research club, you were special. New years finales are kinda cheap ways to illicit emotion but idc I’ll always fall for em. New years is a time for reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future, so it makes it a perfect way to end a show because you get to see how far our characters have come. Also fills you with this bittersweet feeling because you feel like you just got to know the cast and now it’s over!! Mako and the girls have really turned the food research club into a legitimate part of the school that’ll continue attracting people for years to come. I got so fuzzy seeing the pics of Mako and the girls and how Mako’s facial expressions have softened since she met them. Remember how at the start of the show, Mako was all sad about how she had no memories to look back on, now she has almost too many! 😂 Even the club room feels so much more alive now. It’s almost like a literal representation of the girls’ bond developing. Cheesy, but I love shit like this. Can’t have a new year’s episode without a new year’s meal and shrine trip! That Nanba soba looked astounding oh my goodness. I think I watched this on an empty stomach every week and regretted it lol. Nana freaking out about the Amazake because she didn’t wanna get in trouble for underage drinking is so cute too. She and her fashion style were amazing to watch every week. Man, that’s it for the Saturday seasonals other than Anne Shirley. One of the most stacked days I’ve ever had but I loved every moment of it. Sad it’s over. |

| BEST SLICE OF LIFE OF THE YEARRR SO FAR! what a ride, from the first episode to the end there wasn't a single episode that didn't make me laugh. i love all the characters in this anime and of course my favorite is Tsutsuji. one of the anime that i will rewatch from anime this year. EASY 9.2/10. |
| Far from one of the best P.A. Works, yet still another good one. It's hard for them to miss with their CGDCT esque series. There wasn't a single boring episode, especially the moments with Tsutsuji got me xD And they pulled off a mundane finale in the best way possible. The ED montage was sweeter than the marshmallows. 7/10 |

| That sure was a huge serving she had at the chinese restaurent. Considering how the club room was when they first had it they really done well. Kurea isn't the clubs VP for nothing lol. The corkboard mounted photos was a nice touch. What a beautiful shot to end the series with. Wonder would we see a S2 for this. |

| I LOVE HIBIMESHI! my favorite show to watch this season; fun characters, yummy foods, chill adventures, and a college setting is a recipe for peak. one of my fav PA Works shows in recent memory, and i sure hope there is a second season. considering they never did the momotaro reveal, and there's so much food left to try, there is so much still left to do! i loved the corkscrew board ending sequence. the episode itself was also very enjoyable. just a chill day in the club room and a nice shrine visit. i will miss you, peak. |
| A perfect way to end the anime. Cleaning, cleaning for the last episode. Perfect. Jokes aside, it was actually really fun watching them clean for some reason. Rejuvenating almost. Man did that food look so good, I really want it, especially that soba. It was really nice to see the five girls having fun on New Year's. I hope they all have great lives and eat stupidly good food. :) 5/5 |
| Aww, such a sweet last episode, very fitting, the girls get to reminisce a little bit, to celebrate new year together and of course to eat a fantastic meal once again! Overall, I enjoyed the show a lot: good comedy, lots of relaxing slice of life moments, interesting and slightly quirky characters (my favorite being Nana), lots of mouth-watering meals, interesting concept and execution. Probably one of my favorite sol/cgdct series of the last few years, I'm sure I'll rewatch it very soon as I'm already missing these girls :) |

| Anime finished! Well watched! Definitely my favorite CGDCT this season. The characters are so cute and well designed, they each have distinctive personalities, and PA Works did a great job (as usual) on the animation. Hibimeshi certainly oozes soul and charm. |
| I need more of this cuteness, and in general a masterpiece, especially considering it's the original and not an adaptation, really liked the development of the main character Mako, during the year and yes the ending is perfect for the last series, the end of the year and the beginning of the new academic year, and thus the search for new members of their cooking club, demand a sequel. |
| Idk if anyone caught it but this anime is as of this episode set in the future, idk I just found that kinda funny. Overall with the spring season ending on this episode this was an amazing anime to wrap up the season with and overall just a incredible anime. It didn't go overboard, had a small but amazing cast and just generally done what it needed to perfectly. The anime was so much fun the entire way throughout and the food was just made perfectly with each episode. The girls really had such a fun and silly dynamic which made each episode a treat to watch. In the end Mako and Nana were my favourites. Overall a super fluffy and comfortable anime to end Spring 2025 High 9/10 |

| I was worried that Atto would write a generic soulless CGDCT premise for the original show, but it was actually a pretty awesome moe anime with really good food porn, cute charismatic characters, and great humor. A worthy rival to Mono with its own distinct identity. |

| I knew it, they are in the future... 2026, so cool! Cleaning, sleep, and then it's cooking time. I love sushi and soba too. They visited the shrine for Hatsumoude but forgot to take photos, but worry not, sunrise on the first day is a great alternative. What remains a mystery is who Mokotarou is, so this show really NEEDS a second season! |

| Such a lovely, comfy, food, friendship, CGDCT Iyashikei anime. The girls are college students that behave in a more mature, adult like fashion. The stories are low stakes. The atmosphere is comfy. The vibe is relaxing. The food looks mouth watering, AND And the friendships, make me jealous. Nice anime. Will happily watch more like this. |

THIS IS ME RIGHT NOW I WAS SO SAD, I AWAS DREADING THIS MOMENT, THE MOMENT I END WATCHING THIS ANIME 😭😭😭 This episode was beautiful, I feel it's main focus was to show us really how much Mako has grown, my beautiful Kawai Mako ❤️❤️❤️    For a moment I thought this episode was only going to be about them remembering moments from previous episodes, but thankfully it wasn't that, seeing them spend new year like this was so beautiful ❤️ It is kinda funny to think their university allowed them to spend new year there, just them alone on campus lol What will happen next, for a 2nd season? Will they get new members? Idk how to feel about that, I want them to get new friends because in the final scene they clearly are working a lot to get new people into the club, but at the same time it may feel kinda weird to have new faces like that, I don't know... But I do know I want a 2nd season... this anime really was food for my soul, it has made me so happy, these 5 girls, they are all the best, I love each one of them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️  I wish this show has done well, it being original makes it hard for it to get another season, and I kinda feel no much people gave it attention, I haven't really seen much about it on the internet outside this page... but this was made by the author of Non-Non Biyori, one of the peak CGDCT manga/anime there is. I really hope to see these girls again, they mean so much for me now 😭 ANIME OF THE YEAR FOR ME, IT'S JUST TOO PRECIOUS, TOO PERFECT 😭❤️ |

| Wonderful new year eve party as well as a wonderful way to end the season. Absolutely loved all the characters and their vibes, music and animation everything worked well for me. Definitely one of best shows this season for me. |
