That kid should give it a rest man.. nobody’s taking her guy away from her lol. But it’s always hilarious how Futaba sees every girl who breathes around Atsushi as a rival, only to befriend them a couple of minutes later. Still, if anything, bit by bit, the people befriending Futaba and Atsushi have grown in numbers, or more like, it’s Aharen’s siblings who have broadened their friend circle.

Eru should get more screen-time, because I like it every time she gets some, and some simple math tells us that she has received the least time on screen of all the three siblings, so there’s that as well. But hey, play some normal and nice games next time( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and be a bit less awkward.

Poor Futaba, everyone is her romance rival when it comes to Akkun. Lol, she really called Riku a shotacon hussy and even thought my pure and innocent Ren was a girl—though he does have that charm. But even after learning he was a boy, he still somehow ended up as her love rival. And why is Akkun always blushing whenever there’s physical contact with them? Dude better have an explanation.

The second half with the Aharen family was just pure wholesome, full of sibling love, care, and bonding. Raidou was his usual self, jumping to conclusions after hearing things halfway. Ren had some serious bedhead there. Hopefully Eru tones down the bloodlust a bit after seeing Raidou step up.

Kinda feel bad for Futaba because she is always thinking she has love rivals. The Aharen siblings are just so cute and the second part of this episode was so wholesome and pure cuteness.

Futaba sure has plenty of rivals. Tamanaha though sure was pretty fast Looks like Futaba see's the whole of the Aharen family as her enemies. Still it was cute seeing her bond with Eru. Eru's desire to be more independent is admirable. In the end im glad that their differences were resolved.

Wow, an massive blast of wholesomeness and cuteness. Almost enough to give this Evil Overlord hives.

"Who is that hussy!"
The shyest and cutest gyaru there is. Riku having playtime with the grade schooler will help her overcome some of the previous gaps in her social development.

Will there be an actual triangle with Ren, Futaba, and Akkun? with more than two pair ups possible?

Ren's bedhead is impressive.

Only Matsuboshi could keep his cool in that scene between Eru and Ren.

Futaba seeing Riku and the Aharen siblings as fierce love rivals for her precious Akkun was pretty cute. Even though she didn't realise that Ren was a boy, she still sees him as a love rival. XD

The main siblings had a lot of focus for this episode and it was very enjoyable. Though misunderstandings and mistakes to be made at times, as Eru and Ren found out, seeing them overcome those issues and make up was good character development for them both. Wholesome would be the best word to describe the second half of the episode.

It was also good character development for Riku as well after she helped out Ren and encouraged him to make up with Eru. Hopefully we'll continue getting more scenes like this that further helps Riku's development as she continues to be a fun character in this series.

I love when it’s a family affair episode for the Aharen family! Raido and Reina are great, but the way Reina’s family is so close-knit and relies on her for support is so sweet to me! Really adorable episode, but moment of silence for the local neighborhood girl Futaba who gained like 4 different love rivals today 😂

Poor Futaba has to worry about Riku, Eru and even Ren being around Akkun. Lost it when she started getting relieved about Ren being a girl just for Akkun to blush around him too lmao.

Eru big ass trying a skateboarding and falling is me af. Wouldn’t catch me on one of those, leave it to the young kids. She’s such a sweetheart though. For being so busy today fending off love rivals, Futaba found time to give her some amazing advice. “Reina’s Reina and you’re you. I’m your friend!” 😭 can definitely relate to wanting to be just like an amazing older sibling, but you’ll always fall short. Just be yourself!

I love how even tho she’s so slow, Riku is actually seen as such a dependable and wise person by Ren. Buddy ran away from home, but as soon as he saw her his whole day improved! Couldn’t ask for a better ending with Eru and Ren getting a gift for Reina, this is like the ideal sibling relationship and I love it sm.

Great episode.

A fun and heartwarming episode this week.

The kids praise the Aharen's way too much. It's actually concerning. Futuba has a grudge against every Aharen, why? Because they're stealing Akkun in her eyes, I guess. Eru training to teach the kids stuff and failing was pretty funny, but the best part of that was when Ren hit that sick trick on the skateboard. Holy he's good. Loved how the rest of the episode was focused on the Aharen family and how Eru and Ren were trying to appreciate Reina more. It was really sweet to see them all doing stuff for each other.

We need more Ren and Eru, please.

I didn’t like the episode, personally. This Futaba girl really has a filthy tongue. She was all cute before, with her tsundere side getting jealous of anyone who got close to her Atsushi, but seriously, calling a grown woman who's literally a stranger a “slut” at her age? That crosses a line into inappropriate, rude, and disrespectful behavior. What kind of upbringing leads a child to say something like that? Very disappointing, shame on her parents.

The foul-mouthed brat aside, why is Riku even okay with being called a “slut” by a literal grade schooler and just acting playful about it? Goodness gracious, if a kid insulted me like that, I’d be 99% ready to slap them, unless they were, like, the president’s kid or something.

Finally, it’s a rare occasion when I rate an episode of this anime lower than a 4, but I’m giving this one a 2/5, based on everything I’ve said. I don’t enjoy seeing poorly raised kids disrespecting adults, that’s not comedy, that’s just bad parenting on display.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Never thought I'd see an episode of Aharen with a whole series of pedo-jokes. And straight shota nature, although I don't think anyone in real world would associate an attempt of contact of a teenage girl with little boys instantly in a sexual sense.

I think the true winner of this episode was Akkun lol, getting all up close and personal with the babes plus Ren, gotta feel for Futaba but Akkun be swimming in it lol. Jokes aside, I really loved the Futaba focus in this one, I was waiting for her to get a focused bit this season and it finally came, and it was loads of fun and adorableness, the way every bit ended with Futaba gaining a new “rival” was funny too lol. Eru had quite a bit of focus as well, the boys crowning her the True King and learning from her despite her not knowing what she was doing was a great bit, and hey Eru learned how to do several things because of it like skateboarding and cat’s cradle, faking it till you make it works sometimes lol.

And the final bit focusing on the Aharen siblings was especially sweet, it hurt to see Ren and Eru have a falling out but with the help of Raido and Tamanaha, the two came back together better than ever and did what they set out to do for the sister that takes so much care of them, Eru learning to value herself more was a great touch as well. Definitely a nice sugary sweet way to end the episode.

And as a final note, loved the fall visuals in this episode, they didn’t need to do that but they did, my favorite time of the year being represented in anime is always nice to see!

@Skuvan I don't know how offensive the term "ero onna" (erotic woman) is in Japan. Maybe it's more casual and less offensive than whatever English translation you read. Anyways, I hope you're just having a bad day and aren't normally so ready to throw hands with a kid.

Futaba first befriended Riku, Eru and Ren, only to end up turning them into enemies just so she wouldn't lose Akkun. Even against Ren, who is a boy, Akkun blushed. Poor Futaba, he has a hard time in a competition with the Aharen siblings.

The rest of the episode was very cute, with Eru and Ren trying to thank Reina for everything she does for them.

I never said I’d throw hands, just a slap to teach a kid a lesson. Otherwise, how would they learn? It’s not like I’m saying I’d beat her to a pulp. Would you be okay with being called a "little b*tch" by a kid, for example? I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t be.

Honestly, slapping the kid would be the least you could do in that situation. I don’t know how things are where you live, but where I’m from, if you call that kid’s parents, they’ll probably show the kid hell, like, actually beat them to a pulp. So around here, a slap is actually getting off easy.

@LordCrueltyV Yeah, I know how it is in the USA. Don't worry, I ain't ignorant. You guys give too much freedom to anyone and everyone, which isn't bad. I’m not about to badmouth or disrespect another country or culture, but you live where you live with your own laws, and I live where I live with mine. So, you don’t have to mention yours as if to either scare me or inform me, because I’m neither scared nor uninformed, do not worry.

If we started the topic of culture vs. culture, we wouldn’t be ending anytime soon, because every country is different. The whole world isn’t the USA, brother. Where I live, which is Egypt, and speaking from experience, you can’t do anything to adults. They beat you to a pulp, like a literal sandbag, and you can't do anything about it. Trust me, I’ve experienced this first-hand with my father during my childhood.

Where you live, it’s completely okay to call the cops on your parents for just slapping you, whereas I was an actual sandbag for my black-belt Taekwondo father when I was a child, haha. So yeah, do not think the whole world operates like the USA, just some food for thought.

Last but not least, you said "in much of the developed world". Unfortunately, Egypt is the furthest from what you could call anywhere near developed. We literally fly abroad at the closest opportunity. If we all had the chance to do so, we'd leave without a second thought.

It ain't just about laws, our economy is so messed up that it doesn’t matter whether you’re an engineer or a doctor; you’re getting paid the same as a middle-school dropout. Spare change, bruv. So don't come telling me about "developed" and such. We’re 6 feet under, bro. Literally.

Kinda fun to watch, with all the kids playing. Who doesn't love watching them skateboarding and making string figures? Ren did great. Also, fluffy dog moments 🐑

Futaba was being her usual jealous type of girl. I don't expect her to improve about that because she is the comic relief type of character, her job is just to have funny reactions and break the tension, which is all fine by me. not a bad thing at all! hashtag just for laughs.

Ren running away because of a petty argument with Eru was the dramatic and scary moment of the episode. This is something dangerous for a 10-year-old to do, because at that age they can't handle things on their own 🙈

Parents and caregivers should call the cops ASAP, even if it turns out to be nothing in the end. You should not assume they ran away because something else might have happened and you don't know for sure. Better safe than sorry. For older kids the situation may be more nuanced, just follow your local guidelines for reporting and your common sense.

Ren meets the gyaru Riku and this provides some relief, but still he comes back home alone and super late when it's dark outside. Typically, parents should be freaking out about this. Losing a child is the worst thing that can happen. Maybe next time they can focus more on how serious the situation is...

I liked how they focused on Eru's journey about finding her own way and not relying on comparisons with Reina. She's a messy character but also relatable. Eru is the character with the most growth potential.

To me, the super ditzy gyaru girl is the secret sauce of the story. Every time she shows up you just know something interesting is going to happen 💅. Gyaru Rika is the MVP of Aharen season 2, the show would feel totally different without her tbh.

Okay with it? No.

So bothered that I skip past lecturing mode and instead brandish my paddle? Doubtful.

Anyways, in Japanese, the slang "ero onna" probably isn't deserving more than a scornful look from typical parents. Would like some evidence for this though.

Valid point. But the thing is, lecturing mode only works when someone ain't aware of what they're talking about. Futaba was literally imagining Riku as a succubus charming the boys, which confirms that she already understood what the word actually means. So, I don't think lecturing mode would be of any good in a situation where the person is already aware of what you're probably going to say.

Anyways, in Japanese, the slang "ero onna" probably isn't deserving more than a scornful look from typical parents.

If it were my kid, i'd at least tell them not to say such a vulgar slang again, since a scornful look just scares without an explanation, so yeah.

Probably my favorite episode of this season so far. I find I really enjoy the jealous or possessive little girl characters like Futaba in shows like this. She reminds me of Saikawa from Dragon Maid, in a good way. The gags involving the kids are usually funny and adorable and they aren't overused either. It's kinda ironic that I liked this episode so much when it was probably the least we've seen of Raido in an episode so far too.

I absolutely love this episode. We got a break from the main cast of Raido and Reina to focus more on her family and the kids from last season. I think it was a really good change of pace, and it goes to show how well written these characters are. They're well written enough to be enjoyable without having the main character constantly in the story. I love how we got learn more about Eru's personality, being a loving sister who wants to respect and appreciate her sister, but who also wants to let her rest and become independent, and we watch her struggle with that. There were definitely some emotional moments in this episode it was very well done, and Riku-chan is as awkward as always lol

This episode was absolute cinema.

@SouthRzVa absolutely agree, second part of the episode really showed their familiar bond, and the entire episode focused a lot on Eru's struggles of wanting to be independent and help Reina, but also her kind of struggling with her identity (when Futaba tells her that Reina is Reina and she is her, or when Raido tells her that she can't replace him and he can't replace her. Moments like those really put a smile on my face).
