This Theodore guy might be the most mysterious character in the show now. And being able to change his appearance...yikes.

Rishe also got kissed this episode! Was not expecting that. This episode seems to build more into a rivalry between Arnold and Theodore. Drama just hit through the roof.

Arnold just threw caution to the wind, ignored the no-touching rule, and went in for the kiss.

The one summoning Rishe to the chapel in the guise of Arnold is Theodore, the second prince. He cautions her, saying, Sooner or later, you'll meet your demise. However, Rishe, undeterred, asserts that she is well aware of the situation and is prepared to marry him. Just as Arnold himself emerges, Rishe remains uncertain about Theodore's genuine motives. Unexpectedly, Arnold proceeds to take an unforeseen course of action.

Arnold's always been a bit ruthless, no surprises there. Then we've got Captain Obvious chiming in, warning Rishe about the whole "you'll end up dead" scenario – if only he knew the half of it. When Arnold makes his entrance, suddenly Captain Tough-Guy turns into a total pushover. It's kind of funny, honestly.

But let's talk about the real shocker of the episode – that unexpected kiss. I mean, come on! In most romcoms, by episode 5, the main characters have maybe exchanged a few glances, not a full-on kiss. And can we talk about the nail polish trend? It's really taken off, especially in the maid department. Props to Rishe for her negotiation skills. I can't help but wonder how much digging it took to uncover that info about Arnold's sister, but hey, it worked. In the end, it seems like that revelation was all Arnold needed to get on board.

Now, Elsie and Kamil – total traitors. No doubt Arnold's going to swoop in and save Rishe, and those two will definitely face the consequences for their betrayal.

Everything about Arnold being cruel doesn't seem like a lie tbh. But he has done a lot of good things for the people too. Interesting.
Rishe and Kaine's negotiations were like a tug of war going left and right lol. But Rishe got what she wanted in the end.
Noooo waaayyy, whaaaat. Damn, I didn't expect this betrayal at all. And I liked them too T_T.
Good episode.

When will Arnold kill Theodore? I don't want siblings to kill each other, but what Theodore did to Rishe. He deserved it.
Honestly, maybe the kidnapping was Rishe's plan from the beginning. She has planned something and intended to be kidnap. Hope so.

He killed his own mother... now I need the story behind this, think that he himself didn't do it but we'll find that out later.

That kiss scene was perfect, blushing Rishe was so cute.

When Rishe collapsed I had a hunch Theodore would be behind it, but damn didn't expect Kamil and especially Elsie to be behind this as well! Now you gotta wonder with what material he blackmailed them.

Beautiful animations especially of the kiss. Talking about the discuss with the aria trading company then it was really awesome, i mean i knew rishe has a lot of wisdom but i didn't expect her to change the ideals of her previous merchant master.
Tf what happened in the last , the things i hate the most are betrayals and blackmailing , i mean i really become radical in these matters. Honestly, i just want Arnold to kill the little bro.
For some reasons i think Rishe was already known to it, i hope this will be true.

Feels like there's no love between brothers in their family. But the reaction of Theodore to Rishe's declaration really was priceless. Elsie is but one of many examples of people whose lives changed for the better thanks to Rishe's arrival. Her attmpts to change the life of people is bold as it's ambitious. The medicine card that Rishe pulled though was risky but showed well the kind of knowlege the loops provided her that enabled her to tug at Tully's heartstrings. Making Tully see the error of his ways was a nice bonus. But wow didn't expect Theodore to pull that move after being rebuffed.

1. Wow, the anime's animation and art quality is amazing so far.... Like astonishingly great.... The scene in the chapel is very beutifully done.
2. They're being VERY-VERY loyal to (at least) the manga (I don't read the LN, so....)
3. Huh, I never realized they used Deutsch in this title. I spotted "Auslichten(?) dank für (something) Einladung (something2) um eine halbe(?) Stunde(?) nach Mitternacht (something2) sein." in Rische's letter. Ich spreche Deutsch nicht (dunno if it's correct), but I can at least spot german words when I see one. Maybe any german speaker can confirm this?

Well this worked...

So finally today Rishe was able to make a deal with the Aria company chief, although she use a cheat card but ended in a win nonetheless. And yeah Theodore has some issues, that betrayal man... How could Arnold know those two were working for his little brother, right? (he would have known actually)

First thing, Rishe seems like knowing that's not Arnold who send the letter due to Rishe sending a reply was a quite wise one.

And also there must be something that Theodore do that might persuade Kamil and Elsie to abduct Rishe, because Elsie once said about her poor family to Rishe when she get the nail polish kind of medicine..

Yeah it is indeed German. The letter says: Herzlichsten Dank für Eure Einladung. (Ich werde) um eine halbe Stunde nach Mitternacht (in der) Kapelle sein.
I'm actually not surprised seeing german words if you look at all the peoples names like Arnold e.g. and know that the Japanese are kind of obsessed using all kind of german places or words in other animes. Hope I could help.

Scary episode for Rishe, and now she's at the mercy of the younger prince. 😖😖😖

P.S. I can't believe Rishe's own guard and maid would betray her. They have no gratitude.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Nani?!

The kiss was unexpected so early and with no regard to no-touching rule, but beautifully done.

The negotiation part stretched a bit too long after that, but at least they came to an agreement.

Theodore is one shady individual, but I don't believe Elsie and the other guy are doing it out of choice, most likely they were blackmailed with another sob story behind, or otherwise forced.

“I’m fully aware of the facts and I choose to become Prince Arnold’s bride” you go girl you better stand by your man lol

Theodore can bring up all the negative stuff he wants about his brother, but Rishe’s seen through to Arnold’s true self and fully believes he’s a kind and noble person. Yea he may have killed people in battle, but only out of a need to defend his people. I do want some explanation on what Theodore meant by Arnold killed his mother.. maybe something during birth or a childhood accident?

“What is this resolve in your eyes” even Arnold couldn’t help but be taken aback by how resolute Rishe is in the face of such circumstances. She’s determined to stand by him 😩

RAAAAAAH FIRST KISS. THIS WAS PERFECT. Can’t blame bro at all for folding and kissing her. She was just saying everything you’d want to hear at that moment. For Arnold it’s gotta be so nice to finally have someone that understands you so well and that you view as an equal. The staff cooked with that scene and made my week.

Back in the palace, it was great seeing Rishe have the maids help with the cosmetic production process and even get to use it. For girls like Elsie who’ve come from the slums, being acknowledged by someone of high status like Rishe, and even treated as an equal, has to be an amazing feeling.

We stan an economic queen 🙏🏾 Rishe brilliantly navigating the negotiations with the chief and making sure the people in the slums aren’t left behind economically was so cool. The biggest measure of a society is how its poor are treated. Getting them more involved in the economy will help everyone in the long run.

In other fantasy anime I’d have expected Rishe to hold the medicine for the chief’s sister hostage, contingent upon his agreement. But nope, Rishe just wants him to understand that the urge he feels to save his sister is exactly how so many other people in this country feel. She really is amazing, man. No wonder Arnold fell for her.

BUT WTF IS THAT ENDING. ELSIE AND KAMIL WERE OPPS??! Ok I need to know what the hell theodore is planning and why he’s so hell bent on keeping her away from his brother. If Elsie is involved surely there has to be a good reason. This is getting wild.

Great episode and can’t wait for the next one

Oh boy, the chapel scene at last!
It was beautiful but I really wish the pace wasn't so fast because, for me, it lacked the very important emotional impact especially when compared to the scene with Tally that was done way better. It's an odd choice to focus on that scene more since that was their first honest conversation (to some extent) and the famous cryptic words "You don't have to be resolute to be my wife" are going to follow them throughout their relationship and were one of the first signs something isn't how it seems.

A lot of her own thoughts on the matter were cut short which I think is a pity. They really could have just ditched the ED sequence and gave this scene more space to breathe.
Still, it was beautifully animated. It was really worth the wait and it made me again really happy for the author that her novel got both manga and anime adaptations so fast! It was also amazing to finally hear the characters and their intonation in that moment because I think it carries a lot of hints.

We can expect the end of volume 1 in the next episode. I wonder if they will bring up a very important plot point they skipped during the dance while Rishe is asleep in a dream? I believe that could be a good moment to include it if they plan on doing so.
The next episode should have a fair share of emotional scenes as well so I hope they slow down the pace for them like they did with the scene with Tally in this episode.

Being so close to starting the second volume feels like a dream. I really hope the anime does well so I can continue hoping for more!

This is the craziest episode so far.

I want to know more about Arnold's family. It looks like they all hate each other. Theodore said Arnold killed their mother, but that's it. We know he killed his father, so it's possible, but I'm assuming there are reasons.

We get a kiss very early on. I was not expecting it at all, but it was good.

Rishe was able to make the deal with Tully, benefiting the entire economy as a whole.

Also, Elsie and Kami!? The closest people to her betrayed her. I can't believe it.

That was a pretty intense episode, and this might just turn out to be the best non-sequel anime airing right now. That scene with Rishe and Tully negotiating was just dialogue but so compelling, especially seeing Rishe's turning the tables in a negotiation. The unexpected kiss between Arnold and Rishe was great too. Theodore is a big schemer for sure, and I hope he ends up being a well thought-out villain.

Wow! Best episode of the season hands down. This show has really picked up steam in the last couple outings and I gotta say that this one will be the turning point for a LOT of things. Elsie’s betrayal was a complete shocker. After this though there shouldn’t be any going back for her. She sat right there and watched Rishe make that deal SPECIFICALLY with Elise’s family in mind and turned right around and did this.. Bottom line is as soon as I finish typing this I’m going to go read it as I won’t wait for a whole week to find out lol. The kiss 💋 was firecracker hot and her being rescued is only going to bring them closer (if she doesn’t escape herself). Elise’s betrayal really got to me though and I’m gonna be pissed if she doesn’t get hers after she’s been treated with nothing but kindness and gratitude. This will also have somewhat of a cooling effect on Rishe’s ability to trust others so easily (it should anyway). There’s plenty more to talk about but I’ll stop here for now. This show has been one of the dark horses this season and I couldn’t be happier. 😊

Theodore thought he was being sly but little did he know Rishe is always playing 4D Chess in her head lol, the things he said about Arnold were interesting but it’s clear he was trying to stir shit, and when Arnold himself appeared he shut right up lol. And I really liked the scene after this where Arnold had Rishe by the neck, I feel like it could have been a bit more intense as he wasn’t actually grabbing her but of course Arnold wouldn’t make that dark of a move, the discussion had was great tho, as well as that kiss which I didn’t realize was the first lol.

And speaking of Rishe playing 4D Chess, wow she really finessed Kaine there lol, every time it seemed like her big plays weren’t enough until she pulled out the dying sister card, and she said she didn’t intend to use that for her gain but come on, she absolutely is lol. But I get it, she didn’t want to go that far but had to, and now she got her trade deal like she’s been wanting. All seemed well until Rishe collapsed, and if that wasn’t bad enough Theodore went and kidnapped her using people she trusted, including her maid Elsie. I’m sure they’re not willingly helping Theodore but I was still surprised to see that, especially after the nail polish scene earlier this episode, I’m excited to see what hell Arnold raises in response to this.

"Theodore!! You got lotta' 'splainin to do."
Very curious to see how the writer justifies this outrageous, un-foreshadowed play on the princes' part.
TWO attendants to a very high-level imperial are suborned into an act where the penalty, if they're lucky, is execution. Spiriting the princes' fiancé out of the palace grounds and into the slums?
(Spirited away means getting away without being noticed.)
Stay tuned, fans.

Ahhhh the kisss! Brilliant of Rishe to come up with nail polish as a business to partner up with Aria trading Co. I feel like Elsie and Kamil were manipulated into kidnapping her. Pretty convenient that Rishe asked for Elsie and next scene she's with Theodore. I don't think Kamil would just be willing to do that considering he didn't want Rishe talking to Theodore when they first met. What happened to the other blonde guard who was standing with them? Kamil and Elsie also looked really guilty tbh.

At first I thought they could have adapted the scene in the beginning slightly better (even though at least the music was fitting) and I was about to think maybe it’s good enough but then the kiss happened and I was like what: “You know what, never mind.” I totally felt that. So while not perfect I really love how they adapted it (I think I’m still bothered by Theodore’s voice and that distracted me).

And can I just mention how beautiful the visuals are? I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of the character designs although they grew on me a lot but the aesthetics are very pleasing.

I just love the part where Rishe creates nail polish. It’s such a great way of showing how her traveling in her previous lives could gain her a lot of knowledge and to see how she is using It wisely now. Instead of just telling but showing how she does it. So many writers nowadays get it totally wrong writing these “superior” female characters everybody loves and gushes over for no reason. But this is so subtle, clever and in a way humble. And I’ve got to praise this anime continuously for not making the same mistakes many others are doing and I hope it stays that way. I’m even willing to overlook Rishe’s idealistic view on the economic circuit since it’s fiction. I also love how Rishe thinks of others too.

The ending of this episode is very well chosen, I kind of knew they would use it like this. It’s a real cliffhanger. As always I’m excited for more. I just love this anime so much <3

Despite what Theodore has in mind of Rishe getting involved with Arnold, nothing seems out of the ordinary, even her getting killed by him.

Arnold has no words for Theodore, but it seems as if that he has pre-meditated this to a degree, such that Rishe had prepared a backup plan for Arnold to come to her rescue should there be a need. Rishe's definitely prepared to die and salvage herself all over again to get Arnold to accept her, and his answer to her conviction: a full-on kiss, which was completely unexpected at all. Back within her maid duties, her taking care of Elsie seems too forgiving for the latter who doesn't think that she deserves the treatment she got, which seems normal at hindsight.

From a maid to a queen, and successfully convincing the Aria Trading Company's Kaine to sell nail polish and hiring slums for a large sum, Rishe's forward thinking, in a rather different radical way that puts equality into Galkhein. That said, he doesn't willingly approve any proposals willy-nilly, but word about his ailing sister is pretty much kept under a tight wrap, and her side business of being a medicinal cultivator, she has Kaine fully wrapped under her hands. Though this isn't much a deliberation tactic, the motive doesn't change, and Kaine finally concedes his arrogance to entrust his business to her.

It was the longest of long-shots, and Rishe...got kidnapped by Kamil and Elsie under Theodore's orders. How would Arnold deal with his rather egotistical brother?

Caught up just now, I'm liking this show a lot.

Rishe is a bit too good at way too many things... But I appreciate that she still has to use all of her wits and guts to make it through, instead of pressing a 'Win' button.

I also like that using so many of her skillsets all at once is taking a toll on her. There's not enough time in a day and only one of her. I hope she learns how to pick her battles or find other smart ways to make things happen.
