And so it comes to an end. Thank you, Goto sensei and Matsuura sensei. I'll be looking forward to your next works.

I guess we can be happy that the end was at least literally the end of the arc we were in the middle of and not some rushed ending that would have ruined the story completely, albeit the end of the fight was a bit rushed through. Can't blame the sensei though.

I'm still mad and probably will be for a while too that it got axed but this was a nice ending for such a short ride of a manga. Will miss it in WSJ's Sunday batch.

I hope the magazine realises that axing such a decent work with very good sales was a poor decision on their part. They'll be in need of a new long-running battle shounen with how things are looking for the series that are its main support rn. You can't run shounen jump on just gag manga ffs.

Man, I'm really bummed that this has to end so early. The art is great and this really had a lot of potential in my opinion. There are still a lot of things left unexplained and could be explored further, like the other conceiving hands and etc. But unfortunately, that's impossible now...

Anyway, I wish the creators all the best and I'm definitely looking forward to their future works.

It's just so odd to end like this when it was just starting, but well it got axed. May we see more work from these mangakas in the future. I remember that during the series the art got really unique in some moments/panels, it was amazing to look at.

Well, I really enjoyed this while it lasted. I was very saddened reading that title page saying final chapter. There was a lot more that could have been delved into in this story, and I loved the partnership the formed between Iori and Abeitsu, I wish we could have seen it a little longer.

Hopefully the creators will be able to work on a new project soon.

Allright chapter to end things, sux that this is over. I really liked this manga among the new jump mangas but ofc this had to get axed. Welp hopefully the authors of Phantom Seer will come back with a better work next time.

Eh, really not surprised jump scrapped this.

Great art but such a bland, generic cast and story that I could tell from chapter 20 it was gonna be axed soon. Hope all involved get another shot in the industry though because that art was genuinely sick

So here it got axed
I heard it will from a video of ForNeverWorld's YouTube channel...
But my question is how to rate this ???
I adooore this art style and liked the story since its beginning but an axed story is an unfinished story...

While the over arching story will never be told this was at least a good character ending where the main duo came together to help resolve the MCs past trauma. Sad we will never get the full story but what we got was a satisfying enough story that I still feel is worth reading.

Whoa I was completely out of the blue about the news of it ending. It was a pretty fun read overall. Hopefully, this wouldn't be the last time we'll see the writer and artist.
Mankind knew that they cannot change society. So instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the beasts.

In theory (based on what we know about how Shonen Jump works), this series should never have been canceled.

Sales were very good for a novelty (Phantom Seer is the best-selling series compared to the other novelties launched at the same time, except maybe Ayakashi Triangle).

It's clear that, in my opinion, Phantom Seer suffered sabotage. The fact that the series is too "classic" or "generic" is clearly not the cause of this failure. Because otherwise, certain other series of the magazine would have been canceled for a long time now (no need to quote them, you know which ones I talk about).

This is just a guess, but I think there must have been an internal conflict that caused the editor not to want to put this series forward.

Considering his sales, Phantom Seer should have benefited of more color pages and better promotion in the TOC, like any other series that could have been in his case.

Anyway, bye bye Phantom Seer, your cancellation is an injustice ...

I'm really sad that it ended, and I'm hoping it gets a sequel in Jump+(though not likely).

I did love this ending though, and it felt like a good stopping point rather than a forced ending, though I seriously want to see an actual conclusion to the story at some point

Maybe the audience can try to sway jump just a bit, I'd like to remain hopeful for this one

It had a rough start, really unpolished, but it was starting to gain shape, a good shape, but now there's no more. The duo managed to give a decent ending with probably a week or two of notice and they greatly pulled it off. Goodbye Phantom Seer. Hope this duo can make an amazing comeback, It would be sad that they both went in their own ways. Only time will tell.

P.S.

Fuck you WSJ.

Peace.

This sucks. Would like to see more of the artist work. Overall, the series felt like it was lacking something but I don't believe it deserved the axe.

Rip.

Sad to see this get axed since the art was so good. Hope the artist gets to work on better manga.

Surprising since the manga even speed ran the character introductions and prologue to get to the main story, but again, the shinsenkan pacing was a double-edged sword and didn't really work out in this case. Probably needed a tournament arc to pull of a jjk.

people talk like this was unexpected. I really enjoyed the ride, but when something does not click it just doesn't, I mean how many exorcism series can a magazine hold, and if so, how many of them can actually outshine the others. Phantom seer was lacking this luster, it was just there, I mean yeah the horror was nice and the story was sometimes interesting, but if it doesn't even shine, how can you even give it a chance? And last but important point ... Don't forget that sales are everything, and this series didn't do well. In the end, Shueisha is a company, and the main target is the profit.

I can’t even express how pissed I am that this manga got axed despite it selling well. The story was getting juicier too with Iori pushing Ongyouki to its limits. I hope we get to see this manga in another form down the line cause the story has got a lot more to give!

Could’ve been something brilliant. I did become invested in the story eventually but this was a slog from the start. The art seriously carried it in most parts so I’m not too disappointed it’s been axed, but the fact it set up several arcs that we’ll never see the end of really irks me. That’s just the way it is sometimes though 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It had its mistakes anf flaws but Phantom Seer managed to keep at least entertained each week.
Just went it was starting to turn better and more interesting, so sad :c

I will miss it and the few characters that I likes remembering what could have been.

Still I hope the people behind this series find another work soon because they have a lot of potential
