Still no Birdamon evolution. But Palmon has a small evolution sequence. I notice Agumon sequence was shorter in this episode. |

| Really nice bonding episode for Joe and his Digimon. Next episode should be Yamato’s appearance, really looking forward to seeing my boy back in action. Def feels like the pandemic has had an impact on animation quality when you look at the first episode compared to now, but still pretty solid. God I feel like a kid again watching this on Saturdays on Fox Kids |

| Oh man, seeing Joe saying "you're my partner" to Goemon is awesome. They've just met and there's already a bond. Gesomon is also a Digimon I remember from the original Digimon series. So much nostalgia... |

| I feel Joe and Gomamon are underrated, I really like those two and so far liked them too in the reboot, I wish the show would have started from this journey, so far so good but man, those 2 first episodes felt so forced, the cynical me just couldn't stay hidden. |

| Good old reliable Joe senpai has finally made an appearance. Although he was acting like a prick in the beginning, I'm glad he was able to come to his senses and trust his digimon Gomamon. I also liked the song that was playing in the background while they were fighting Gesomon. Next week the team meets up with Matt and attack the digimon fortress. |

| AHHH...Joe Kido and Gomamon. The time I had watching Joe as a kid, being the nerdy kind that I can relate with strongly. Not as much as now, but purely for nostalgia reasons. Gomamon's evolution into Ikkukamon was of course, a tried-and-true formula of the past episodes to show the kids with their Digi-destined ones. And it was good too seeing it after all these years. Next up, Yamato's appearance. Definitely can't wait for next week's episode. |

| Well I guess Agumon will be the only one to get the good digivolution animation...that really sucks. In the old show all the digimon got even treatment. That is very disappointing. Also I miss Naruto's VA as Gomamon. Other than that, this was a good episode. Joe was always my least favorite because he was so self absorbed in studying. |

| ...I've been patient. But now that we have My Man Jyou, I can honestly say, the new Taichi freaking sucks. I can sorta forgive the others being one-note since they haven't had six freaking episodes, but Taichi has and his one personality trait is: "courageous happy-go-lucky". Which okay, fine, but there's seriously nothing else to him that adds any depth. It reminds of the 4th Adventure movie and not in a good way. Where's the jokes, the goofiness? I mean, give us something. There's really nothing that separates him from Sora, another bland character. At least, Mimi gave us something, but I'm starting to doubt here... And I dunno on the "flashbacks for character development" thing they seem to be doing. My hunches are telling me the reboot is going to be weak on human character development. I already see the plot taking precedence over it. I'm hope I'm wrong but they really aren't leaving a lot of time for the humans and already the adventure aspect is getting scooted over for plot. |
