| It's good that Slop leveling won the CR awards with such a power gap, Gaijin Weebs don't deserve good anime. Not after what they did to frieren, kusuriya, and many others |
| I like slow-boiled, character-driven series but it's really time to cut to the chase already. Some scenes are starting to feel unnecessarily stretched. |

| Loved the scene at the end with the coach bowing. I think it revealed quite a bit and I'm curious what it leads to. |
| Nikaidou backstory coming, prepare for feels. Also we got a few more hints at the story revolving around the parents of the two boys and the Meisei highschool baseball team. It's a slow moving show, but they have a lot of backstory still to come as they flesh out the characters (including a lot of the minor ones, like Otomi's harem of pitchers). |

| That flashback gave me goosebumps just thinking about it. Looks like new girl is going to be introduced next episode. Good thing I can watch Touch while waiting every week for a new episode of Mix |

Even though it changed, the damaged is already done. Anyway, I really like the scene of the coach bowing. The drama has been really well built so far. |

| This series is starting to grow on me and not just because of the obvious Touch references (yay for Nishimura and Nakao Ryuusei!). The directing is still as mediocre as it was though. |

| I've never watched a sports anime before, but baseball was a big part of my childhood so I gave this a shot and I'm really glad I did. While it was slow out of the gate, by the end of episode 4 I was all in. It really captures that air of peaceful tension while playing the game. Hearing the crack of a bat pierce that quiet really took me back. Toma could definitely benefit from a little more fleshing out, but I love the sense of history and legacy and all the internal politics of the team so far. Most of all I love the quiet little moments like Soichiro playing catch with his step-dad in the backyard. I don't know, this series just really resonates with me. |
| Pretty good episode! I’m not minding this slow approach and the drama/mystery is getting some good buildup. About the coach though, there’s definitely more to him that doesn’t catch the eyes or so far that’s how it seems. Ace pitcher is a fluke though and the damage has been done already thanks to the coach so I doubt it’ll change my impression or Tou’s for that matter. Touma showing who’s boss there was amazing though and pretty cool buildup to that as well! A few intriguing flashbacks this episode, I wonder if only Touch fans would know about that. |

| Apple doesn't fall far from the tree if Takumi already fell for Otomi. Great to see the Nishimura again (hopefully we get to see other Touch characters). Seeing him compare Tou to Tatsuya gives me some hope with that flashback scene almost gave me goosebumps. |

| I feel like this should be said now. It's weird that in Touch most of the characters' idle facial expressions looked like they were clueless about everything that was going around. If you watched Touch you might've noticed this. But here in Mix they look like they're angry or pissed off lol. So the school being a minute away thing wasn't a throwaway, they actually used it in this episode albeit for a very small thing. Takumi is instantly attracted to Otomi lol. He seems to take that from his father. Just hope he won't annoy her like Isami used to with Minami. Another thing I didn't notice last episode is that Nishimura Takumi's school name is Mizuhara? Was the name changed from Seinan same way it was for Sumi Tech as explained in the episode? I might've missed this. Otherwise makes no sense that his dad Isami is the current coach for Seinan's baseball club. Also it's a same that Sumi Tech went down the same path as Meisei in terms of baseball tournaments. Man it was amazing to see older Nishimura. I wish more older Touch characters would make cameos like this. I've basically given up on seeing Uesugi family though. |

| This Nikaido drama is quite intriguing, I've never jumped on the hate train like some of the other posters, I could never bring myself to hate him. He's a conflicted character and I can't wait to see him fleshed out. I've got to say I'm not much of a fan of the flashbacks with the old Super 8 black and white film filter and modern art style. Touch happened in the 80s, not the 50s! It should have been VHS artifacts, synths and old-school hand-shaded colouring! @0451 I think Meisei having a feeder middle-school with the same name is quite unusual. It's not odd at all that Nishimura 2: Electric Boogaloo's middle school isn't called Seinan, Seinan probably doesn't have an associated middle school like Meisei does. I know it's quite rare in the UK too. We're only 5 episodes in, I'm still holding out hope for a fat, divorced washed-up old Tacchan to come swanning into Touma's life to be his Mr Miyagi lol. |
