Wat.. the ending is so rushed ever since the will of the world fight. And I thought vamirio is gonna be the girl helck ends up with, guess it's really just good friend plot.

This was a very satisfying ending for me to be honest. I really don't want them to go further than this, I mean, that last boss was way OP, but at least there were forshadowings of it and such. If something else had came up that would be an asspull. The only thing I regret is not seeing the Dragon Emperor, but it's all good.

10/10 for me. Call me cheesy but I like happy endings and the loose ends seemed to be tied up.

Ending is "rushed" but this has been dragging for half a year and should have finished long ago.

I really enjoyed this series. Glad Helck got back together with Alicia. They were a good pair though secretly I was rooting for Anne-chan (however, that wouldn't have made for a good ending). Either way, this was probably the best happy ending the series could have. For a while there, I thought they were going with the melodramatic self sacrifice ending. It ended rushed but I was happy with this series.

8/10 for me.

Love the happy ending, as expected! :)

Now that I think about it, there was quite a bit of a genre shift wasn't there....
Turning point would be Heck's past maybe?
Glad it didin't flip entirely into a dark tragedy.

I wouldd've liked a bit more action/dialogue/screen time from Rafeus (Helck's father figure) during the final fights though. It felt like he suddenly came in at the end.

It's probably the 1st time I read a manga, where at start instead of interesting and promising premise, 1st thing I thought was - 'what kind of trash am I reading now?' but ended up loving the series by the end.

It started out as some cheap comedy wanna be show, but ended up being one of the most mature shounens out there.

The plot was surprisingly decent when it started developing, nothing too special, but there were quite a few twists which were well explained. Whenever shounen type of manga tries something complex - they usually fail hard. But that's not the thing in Helck(I wonder if author got inspiration from Hulk, considering how Helck is very similiar body wise) - here we got pretty much no plotholes, I must commend author, who actually didn't just go with the flow making up stuff to the point it didn't make any sense(hello bleach and naruto) but actually planned his plot beforehand and finished it the way he planned to.

The length of the series was pretty much perfect - not long enough to start feeling needlessly extended and dull, but also not short enough to feel like the story could develop more if it could get more chapters.

In my opinion it's a very good example of what a decent shounen should strive to be like. 8/10.

From the very begging I loved this manga, but this ending is kinda disappointing , If i were to be honest.

I would love for Helck to end up with Anne/vamirio ( I think they have very good chemistry together)

It's odd that nobody (important) really died, plot relevant humans were revived (except Edil, but I think that's left for another time)

It also felt rushed near the end (especially the fight with the will of the world - that was disappointing )

For the series was at it's best when Helck and Anne were traveling together , their antics and growing relationship

Either way this manga gets solid 7/10 from me , barring the ending everything else was really good.

Hopefully I can find something similar to it to fill that void that's now left after finishing it.

This was an incredible manga but I can't give it a 10/10 because of the Azudora's survival and O MY SPECIAL POWER THAT CAN REVERSE MUTATIONS asspulls. Literally everybody survived.

Unfortunately, it's hard for me to not see this manga as a wasted potential. There was a great deal of opportunity for some high quality drama - at one point i thought the story would be on par with Berserk and SukaSuka in terms of emotion, but the author was so insistent on pushing the whole "if you don't give up hope, anything is possible" idea that it all went to waste in favor of the perfect happy end, which indeed was achieved through "anything" and by that i mean the means through which the humans were brought back in the end feel very close to what's usually called an asspull. Characters figuring out how to work the whole hyperspace thing after only hearing about it from the video records in the ruins, it's-magick-i-ain't-gonna-explain-shit way to turn mutated humans back, the way they were resurrected after being sacrificed - it doesn't really makes sense if you think about it. Piwi and Yggdrasil weren't really explained either.

Another thing to complain about are the protagonists (Helck and Vamirio) characters, which felt quite stagnant for the latter half of the manga. Numerous times Helck was on the verge on going berserk and numerous times Vamirio was like "don't go berserk, Helck" and that routine was dragged for too long. I was more interested in how Asuta's infiltration was going at the time, a shame that her role was reduced to that of a cheering girl after she reunited with them.

I was hesitating between rating this 5 or 6 but after putting my thoughts into words here, i think i'll go with 5 in the end. To name one positive thing about Helck, i say the demon girls were all quite cute.

This manga was fantastic. IDK why everyone is saying the ending was bad, because the ending was great. Totally teared up when Helck and Amilia reunited. Obviously Helck and Anne werent gonna end up together. They refer to each other as friends multiple times and don't have a single genuine romantic moment. The messages represented were portrayed in an excellent way, which easily outweighs the small complaints I'd have about the final enemy fight not being the greatest and the witch coming out of left field with ways to save everyone. 8/10 for me and I look forward to reading the mangaka's next work.

Loved this manga.

Wasn’t expecting much from this but wow, I was just so entertained by this from start to finish. The characters are the best part of this manga for me, especially the demons (Special mention for Hyura, who is awesome) and while the story isn’t anything special, it wasn’t eye rollingingly bad, which is a positive when it comes to shounen manga like this.

definitely the best series I've read in a long time. i definitely feel some of the asspull arguments but i mean this did start out as a comedy gag manga essentially, for giving us such an amazing story as a whole i can forgive a few asspulls. also really really glad they didnt force a last minute romance between anne and helck, and kept her power level nearly on par with his until the end so she still felt like the main protagonist 99% of the time instead of getting relegated to damsel in distress role.

The most 'meh' ending I've seen in a while. The only thing that is worth mentioning is the sudden shift from light hearted story to a dark one. It went from boring to intriguing to meh. Almost all of the characters especially Vamirio seemed bland af at the end. A Decent series nevertheless. 6 but will give it a 7

Also my boy Azudora deserves more screen time. Couldn't careless about any other character.

The manga finally end with a happy ending, huh. It’s well fitted with the tone of the manga although i start losing interest after Vamirio and co enter the capital. The fights starts looks like a UNO player throwing reverse card at each other, i grown tired with Vamirio convince Helck not to do this and that, and many things left unexplored in the end.

Nonetheless, i still enjoy this manga despite being a letdown in the last part. I might check the author’s other manga cause i heard it take place in the same universe as Helck.

I really dont get why so many ppl are complaining about the ending... maybe reading it weekly it felt different, but in a binge i think it delivered on every front, for most of the manga i was wondering what the hell was piwis role on the story and i even thought that he and the witch were disguised heavenly kings so during the whole final battle i was expecting them to show up, and even tho it didnt go as i thought it would they did have an important role to play so i was satisfied.

on the other hand i dont get why so many ppl were expecting helck and ann to end up together, it was clear that helck was gonna be with alicia  since that flashback.

The only thing that didnt convince me is how the saved absolutely everyone, i thought that cless was gonna end up trapped with sharuami and the fact that they were toghether would have been enought of a happy closure for them but in the end the author decided to save everyone.

for me its an 8/10 and loved it from begening to end.

106.1 So this is part 1 of the final chapter. Humans are turning back to normal, slowly one after another. Some will take years to return. Some may not be able to return sadly.
Alicia is back though. That reunion made me tear up. Helck and her deserve happiness.

106.2 Cless awakened and is now the king! Yeah, love how they didn't forget about the dangers Helck will have to face from now on and the whole menace that is the will of the worlds. Helck will travel with Alicia now. That farewell was wonderful.

106.3 + extras: Hyura is the new demon king!!! yeah, of all the candidates she seemed the most capable. Glad for her.

Oww... So Rafaed was the one who saved Asuta. He still kept the promise he made to daughter. Absolutely loved the last few pages with characters coexisting with the demons.

Will definitely read the sequel! -  Iken Senki Völundio.

@Urameshi-Kun
Yeah, confused by people calling ending rushed or "meh". Maybe they haven't read all .3 chapters? Some expected this to have a dramatic ending, some were disappointed about Helck and Alicia ending together instead of Vamirio. I can understand not liking the show that much due to sweet happy ending, but as you mentioned there was literally 0 romance between Helck and Vamirio. It was pure top level friendship.

Anyways, it's 9/10 for me. Will of the world plot-twist made things quite confusing at times, but still a very good read.

I could tolerate the final battle arc just dragging on for too long, having too many twist enemies and escalating over and over.

I can not tolerate every ship getting teased but Vamirio just says goodbye to Helck. No way.

I dont dislike the ending, the only way it would feel incomplete is that the Will of the World is supposed to chase Helck till it kill him, and it was said his closest allies could become his enemies, so leaving the series off like that can lead to a bitter taste for some, but ignoring that, everything returned to normal, the farewells hit my feelings and I enjoyed the extra pages to show all that happened after.
The second half of this manga was really great to read, Vamiro and Helck carry the first half with their personalities and relationship being so adorable to see, but the second part took this further, with twists and battles of epic proportions, I like to be surprised and this was a good surprise.

8.7/10 = 9

The mangaka seems to advertise something akin to a sequel, but then what we get is a spin off series, meh...
