| The ability of Luffy's to defend the dream, the faith, the pledge of another pirate he doesn't even know, especially after seeing Choppers reaction to the flag being shot down is the main reason why Luffy is such an admirable and amazing person and character. The amount of times he's had the awareness and courage to do something like this is getting uncountable. There were two moments this episode that I thought really showed the trust and growth of the straw hats together. The first was when afro man commented on Sanji and Choppers lack of team work and contrasted it with Luffy and Sanji's. Sanji says "grab my leg and don't move", and Luffy says "okay!". They have full trust in each other and know what each other want without words, without Luffy even being there before to be on a similar wavelength. The second being the casual chat Luffy had with Nami. "Hey, what's all the noise", "I'm looking for a coat!", "okay, but what's the noise??", "A fight.", "Is it okay?", "Yeah stay resting", "Alright, you can use my coat", "but it's ugly", "way cooler than yours!", "alright.". It really, again, showed the ultra trust they have in each other, but also their closeness to be able to joke around in a time like this. Something I adore about One Piece is how well you get to know the characters. Alike when I first met Luffy and thought he was a slightly different Goku, I made another realization with some characters. This time, it was the scene where Sanji kicked away afro's afro and did this cool ass pose and line: I first thought of Zoro as cooler & slightly manlier Sanji, and Sanji as romantic, slightly more normal Zoro. But this episode and that moment made me realize they're both insanely cool. It's just Zoro's coolness comes from his actions, his reactions, his unrelenting spirit, ultimately his ability to constantly use his body as a vessel for his and his companions dreams. Sanji's comes from his attitude, his consideration for others, and his style, and with this he shows it off a lot less, but when he does it'll be meaningful like when someone steps out of line. I really want to see some more Sanji centric stuff, I feel like he's been the least explored out of the original five for sure. |
| Hiluluk was the only person who actually stood up to the call of saving his country despite his notoriety so it's really despicable of Wapol to trample all over his name like that. | So the ugly-face Wapol is here. But he is not welcome here. Luffy better take his revenge alongside with Chopper. Because of this filthy tin-can a lot of people suffered. He must be executed. So Luffy again forgot about cold. However that jacket wasn't that ugly XD!!! I am astonished that even after that Nami gave him her jacket. Sometimes Sanji becomes a total simp :P ! I wonder where is Usopp, Zorro and Vivi are!!! Saving the flag and honoring it was amazing. Luffy showed everyone the value of a pirate flag. Doctor Hiriluk was a great man |
