Yeah! A beautiful episode indeed. Now, there's no bad or good here. It just plain adventure and story. This is what I want in Mushi-shi!!!! I can't expect what's going to happen every and between episodes. Hahaha! I love this. Just watching and enjoying it!

It's so good that every episode is different! It doesn't follow a pattern or anything, just unique.

this was like "Twister", only philosophical XD

beautiful episode, I've read the manga chapter just before that and it's really great to see the rainbows in colour and how they did the flowing mushi at the end.

Man, this anime is just gorgeous. Its pleasing to the eyes, and to the soul. Mushi-shi is rapidly growing on me, it makes me wish that I had watched it long ago.

i thought the differences between the mushi rainbow and an actual rainbow were interesting.

the rainbow was beautiful and i found myself wishing i could take it with me everywhere too! the bridge he came up with in the end was genius. he really did become the greatest bridge builder ever.

The bridge was awesome.

Hmm.... but maybe I'm the only one here who don't find this series as beautiful as some of the comments proposed it to be. Such a pity I cannot taste the same sensation you enjoy, but I can't help it. It is indeed a different anime, something I truly enjoy, but not in that term.

Again, it's back to something peaceful.

"Here comes the rain, here comes the rainbow." Beautiful indeed.

Later, Koro became a great bridge engineer was great.

He ran away because, as Ginko said, he felt guilty for being useless and not having a talent for the family profession. People making fun of his name, and his father going all baloony made that worse. Finding no reason in his life, he set out to chase the rainbow like his father, and finally found his inspiration at the end, thanks to Ginko and the rainbow. In the end he became like the rainbow (and sort of like Ginko), flowing freely. That also became the inspiration behind the unbreakable bridge he builds at the end.

You don't really need a reason to live after all. You just live where you are, what you are, and you should not let your past hinder your present

"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

I absolutely love the art in this anime. The characters might not be anything special but everything else just looks amazing and the rainbow in this episode looked awesome. I liked how we got a tiny insight into what Ginko is like even if we still don't know anything about him.

Beautiful; Mushishi is just too beautiful. I adored the way the rainbow’s seeking developed; it was a natural phenomenon, unlike the other Mushi, that caused people to be ill in most cases.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

I think this might have been my favourite episode so far, It was less "OMG your going to die in a year if we don't fix this" and more "Dude, I'd totally like to, y'know, see a real trippy rainbow like my dad."

Lovely episode (and ED once again)! I'm not surprised the guy wanted to trap the rainbow in his little (er, big) barrel thing - there is something really captivating about rainbows and their ephemeral beauty...

You said you're traveling without a purpose. I'm sure you have your reasons, but it's not easy to just travel.
You can't just continue traveling without a purpose.

There are times when I just want to take a break. At times like that, I make a purpose like this.
That way I'll find a little leisure. After all, for those that are just living to live, there's no leisure.

Keh. When I'm seriously doing this, you're doing this for fun?

Hey, I'm seriously doing it, too.

It's about attitude.

What? To live, it's also important to rest. And I think it's a better reason than yours.
You're just searching for the rainbow to hide your guilty conscience. What a waste.
I have my own anime blog. It's called Anime Viking. Hope you'll you read it!
