| They used a interesting angle a bit later, too. Wonder why they started with the fanservice now that serious shit is going down, and not included it in one of the "regular" episodes. |

| Probably my favorite episode so far, at least the one that kept me the most engaged anyway, even if the fanservice was pretty jarring toward the climax of some pretty serious scenes. |

| The amount of meaningless jargon these dudes spout is insane, I get it, I get it, big words. I don't think this show really has a sense of what it wants to be. The story has mostly been Rosette doing less important things well looking for Joshua, trying to stop some ambiguous bad guys, and never hearing anything about what's going on except for, as I said, this ridiculous jargon. Couldn't Chrono, who was involved with the first incident and held the same "dream" as Aion be able to tell us anything at all? The characters are fine, Aion is one really cool dude, the way they showed the backstory of Rosette and Joshua was good, but the story is really weak. I get why people drop this show. Remington def knows more than he's letting up. First he traps Rosette alone in a maze with a creature which will sneak up on her, posses her brain and kill her, without letting her know of any such thing, and without letting anyone else know. Now he knows exactly what's going on and where. If he doesn't end up as an antagonist or, at least someone much more involved than he lets on, I will be shocked. If the manga patches up these problems, then I can see already why people think it's so much better. |
