| there are enough poorly written battle shonen MCs and not enough well written harem MCs...so i'll take a well written harem MC that's not as dense as a freakin neutron star, and preferably chooses the HAREM path instead of picking 1 FL and having a bunch of disappointed pseudo-harem members left over |
| Well-written harem MCs, pretty sure SNAFU is an example of this. I should watch it, shouldn’t I? I’ve also had enough of poorly written battle shounen MCs, good ol Gabimaru from Jigokuraku is an example of that. |

| I'll make things even easier: poorly written harem MC > poorly written battle shounen MC. Harem anime are carried by the girls and poorly written harem MCs are in most cases just bland. Poorly written battle shounen MCs are actively obnoxious and can singlehandedly ruin the whole anime. |
