| Obvious classic one would be Versailles no Bara, a really good political drama anime about the French Revolution. Less obvious one would be Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, a fairly different type of maho shojo romance anime made by the same person who made Full Moon wo Sagashite (Another classic shojo that's likely to get mentioned by someone else here sooner or later). |

| Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection) is from this year (Winter 2024), and I had a lot of fun with it. Romance with an adult cast in college, the girl is hearing-impaired, light-hearted drama. It's so insanely sweet that it borders on comical, but it's nice to look at and good-natured. |
