| glad this anime is back. and this is the creepiest episode so far. That weird play using android bodies as decorations? 2B seems to be more kind than 9S. She hesitated to kill that "mother and daughter", maybe because those machines are not a threat to her? |
| 9s bah! Are you the villain perhaps? I really hate how they indiscriminately kill the yellow eyed robots all the time, it's always terrible. They probably evolved into less agressive robots over time, so it feels like a waste to destroy them. |

| they're fucking nailing it with the adaptation. they manage to stay true to the game and tell a new story at the same time. so far i'm loving it. they sprinkle a lot of foreshadowing into it for those that played the game while fleshing the charactrs out even further. i don't know how much yoko taro is involved but they even keep the plot and everything from the game. this anime is just great! |
| One of the best episodes of anime history, the way they combined this parts from the game and made it an amazing viewing experience is unmatched. What a time to be a Nier fan. |

| Well, at least wating for a few weeks did made a very well animated episode with epic fights. Furthermore, it seems like the plot thickens, while at the same time staying vague, I wonder what will happens in the future episodes. As someone who hasn't played the game, it's still not really clear what this anime will do (except killing machines in an epic fashion). |

| This felt like I was watching someone speedrunning, it didn't feel the theme of the episode got time to breathe so the scene with 9S getting rid of the two robots wasn't as striking as it should have been; it's still enjoyable but feels dull to me since I didn't play the game. |

| Besides the rough CGI, the action sequence is pretty neat and "A beautiful song" is one of my favorite OST from the game. Though i'll say as of this episode, they could've spend more time in the Amusement Park... I like the usage of the border during 9S scene.. |

| Was wondering how they were going to do this boss, for the most part I would say they did a pretty decent job. Especially with the action of 9S at the end. |

| I wish they didn't get rid of 9S's curious and sympathetic nature because it's what made him so cute in the original game. I preferred when 2B was the colder, apathetic figure while 9S was the innocent and adventurous one of the duo. It seems kinda off seeing 9S have no sympathy for the robots while 2B is the one hesitating to kill them off. |

| The final fight of this episode resembled a nicely done boss fight, haha. Ugh, I find robots' voices to be annoying when the machine lifeforms talk too much. |
| The game's rendition of "Romeos and Juliets" is much more interesting than the performance shown in the anime. |
