Yeah but the Vanetti's are clearly meant to be the likable guys and the Orcos are all blatantly just evil so far which makes me a bit sad. I wish there was more of a look on the Orcos and some characterization to make us root for them sometimes.

I mean, to an extent, sure. But Angelo's conflict with the Orcos is simply a means to an end - getting closer to the Vanettis to kill them. So its not like they're completely faultless. The problem is the Orcos employ Fango who just does whatever he wants.

I wonder if the produces have Fango as their fav and will make him avoid the bullet for that reason? It sure seems that way. Too bad, since the series would benefit from axing him quickly.

Angelo is lucky because he manages to find a way not to get killed.

I'm also thinking aside from Nero's own family, there will be plenty of backstabbing. I'm calling it now, I have a nagging feeling that Corteo will backstab Angelo or has already backstabbed him.

can anyone tell me how to get people to like and trust me as quickly as angelo does because damn.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who has trouble telling the family members apart. They seem to do a good job of giving them names and distinct faces but a worse job of drawing relationships between new characters and old ones.

Good episode and MC has a clever mind to impersonate Serpente to try hostage exchange. However, it is surprising that the family members are not suspicious of Avilio sucking up too much to Nero and Vanetti family of any ulterior motive, especially since undercover working for other families was pretty advantageous and common sense.

Well, there is just way too many non-distinctive characters. Most of the time someone does something because someone else did something but because you really don't know those characters and what side their are as their exposition was either done badly or was almost nonexistent so you often tend to get lost. First two episodes did well but this one was one big mess of names that I wouldn't be surprised if people actually didn't understand their motives at all.

Also, MC and his happy-go-lucky approach again. He had no plan during the exchange, he didn't thought twice about wearing blooded clothes he was just extremly lucky he survived... plot armour again.

I'm not saying the atmosphere wasn't good but those things I mentioned are bothering me more and more.

And just one more note: You don't lick you knife over the blade if you don't want to eat porridge whole next month.
That scene was probably meant to look cool and to show Fango as badass but it felt extremely stupid instead.

This show is really interesting, but there are a few things about this episode I did not understand.

First, why did they go to Cerotto in the beginning? HOw did they know he was the one who hid the body? At first Nero was suspecting Angelo, but suddenly they turn it to Cerotto.

Second, I get that Cerotto was greedy and sold the corpse to the government agent, and then he would try to blackmail the Vanettis with it, but why would they assume that Nero killed him? Couldn't they say that he and Vanno killed each other, or blame it on Cerotto or Angelo or anyone else? Just having the body does not prove that Nero killed him.

Finally, why did Nero and co. leave without Serpente's body. As they say - no body, no crime. If they managed to recover it, there would be no need for Nero to leave town. Sure, FAngo would know he was probably dead, but he is crazy and has no proof.

In any case, this is a great show, but those inconsistencies somehow bug me, so if someone could explain, that would be great :)

1) The only plausible explanation I can think for this is that once Angelo had calmed down enough to talk to Corteo about it after accusing him of having something to do with it, he remembered seeing Cerotto talking to Serpente the previous night, and probably thought that's his best lead. So Corteo led Angelo to Cerotto, and Nero followed.

2) I guess they were just going by the general rule that Vanno, being the underling, couldn't/wouldn't go ahead without Nero's permission. Vanno wasn't that much of a loose cannon. Besides, there was that speech Nero made in front of his father during the wedding.

3) I think they would have retrieved the body if it wasn't for Fango showing up and pretty much outgunning them. They fled, there was no time to wrap up the body in order to transport it without drawing attention.

Minor nitpick for that scene though: I fully expected Angelo to be carrying a gun behind his back during the fake hostage transfer. Two quick shots at point blank and they'd be scott-free - instead, he was holding a knife. :/ Well, maybe the only ones he wants to kill are the two Vanettis.

It seems that Cerotto brought the body and sold it to Scusa, a Prohibition government who wanted to avoid having conflict between the two mafias. Looks like Fango is a clever guy who noticed that the hostage wasn't serpente. (His golden pistol was cool lol) Looks like Angelo's plan is going according to what he wants as Nero himself have been involved with the killing of just one person (Serpente) that is going to spark a war. Fango licking his knife, perhaps out of his habit, makes it seem that this war is going to be interesting. When it was suggested that Nero had to hide, Angelo's dark expression was as if everything going well with his revenge. Looks like there's a hitman who will be chasing those two.

i don't even know what's going on and honestly i am to blame about that, because i wasn't really paying attention. and since this is a very dialogue driven show, i have to pay special attention to the talking parts. but still nothing interesting pulled be in either. there's nothing good or bad i can say about it so far.

The Show Continues to entertain me. I really like the Main character angelo. Hes different from your normal teen protagonist. I cant help but feel like this anime is a little insipred by godfather but tbh pretty much every mafia themed media is somehow inspired by godfather but this anime shows a lot of similarities to godfather. I really Hope the animation picks up in key episodes, the animation in this episode was rather bad and some backgrounds looked like they were drawn by a 6year old.

Corteo must've known already what Angelo have done after Angelo told him about the letter that tells the killer of Angelo's family.

Frate seems to have planned something with Ronaldo.

There's no doubt that Nero is doubting Angelo, and when Nero questioned him about why Angelo choose to follow him, I wonder what his answer will be...

I love how everyone exactly remembers who is who after only three episodes. Seriously, the only names I remember are Avilio's and Nero's.

And you can't imagine how funny it is noticing what kind of absurd Italian names they give the characters-

The obvious set-up for the ensuing gang war is that Vanno kidnapped Serpente which apparently led to both their deaths (of course, we know that Angelo was orchestrating the whole thing). I'm not really sure how they trace it back to Nero though and why he's a target, I may have to re-watch the dialogue portion to see if I missed it.

Edit: Ok, by the looks of it I guess Nero is just the scapegoat that Galassias will use to appease the Orcas and avoid an all-out gang war. This will become more difficult since Fango now has Serpente's body and the Vanettis have no idea.

Damn they don't even suspect him of killing Vanno. So the bar kid sold Serpento's body off. Dumb move but he made some money.
Angelo is playing it really smart, tricking everyone. Well it's his time for revenge now.
Someone is after them now. Prob from the other family.
