If it goes anime original then yes, I don't expect it to do anything which has a very high probability since more than half of the contents have been fillers so far. However, if it follows the route of the novel, then expect things to change significantly in the last two episodes. Episode 10 and 11 were actually pretty good episodes. Episode 11 had some foreshadowing that some of the fans could catch. They probably have already set the tone for the last two episodes. Let's wait and see. |

I don't know about you but this was my first time seeing a guy put so much effort into not grabbing a boob but get a face full of panties. If you can name any other, please let me know. I get what you're saying. Noticing the ecchi happening but letting it happen anyway is about as common as ecchi happening. But so what? Not everything has to be unique. It just has to try and be funny. That scene made me chuckle. Also dem limbo electrocution scenes were hilarious. They watched a movie where they saw a martial arts due jump into the air and turning into a spinning fireball donut... and then THEY DID THE MOVE IN REAL LIFE XD. Honestly, Phantom World does enough to stand apart from other anime. Honestly dude, you shouldn't take DIGIBRO's words like their factual. The guy forgot how to have fun when watching shows, and it seems like you did too since you can't enjoy this one at all. |

Fun is different to different people, I know, but I felt like you couldn't lay back and relax while watching this show with really left you hanging dry. I made an assumption regarding Haruhiko's family situation as far back as episode 2 that no one at the time took seriously, and hey I was right, but that means everyone else took a while to get that plot point. Also you know what. Predictable isn't bad. Hyouka was pretty predictable. Gurren Lagann was also pretty predictable. Honestly, I don't know what you find funny. That ape episode was hilarious to me. So was the bear land episode. I found lots of tiny bits and pieces in every episode that either made me smile, chuckle or laugh out loud. |

Guy likes books A LOT + lives alone = parental issues, much like two other main characters. People missing obvious cues like Haruhiko's gaze towards Koito doesn't mean anything. Predictability is very bad when it has no solid foundation behind it and lacks even a small amount of creativity, which sums up Phantom World well for the most part. It makes the viewing experience boring, which is what happened at times in Hyouka when I was watching it. |

| So now that this is finished looks like the score has stabilized just above a 7 which means it is the lowest score for a Kyoto Animation studio TV series. It did improve some in the second half. I found it better than second season of Suzumiya |

Putting aside Munto (Because honestly who gives a shit about Munto) Phantom World has the worst first week sales of any KyoAni series ever! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-04-12/japan-animation-blu-ray-disc-ranking-april-4-april-10/.100964 I heard a funny story about a Crunchyroll panel at an anime convention where they listed off several shows they were streaming that season and after every title people cheered. They mention Phantom World, complete silence. From all accounts I already knew it was a flop over here in the west. Not just because of stories like that, but more for the fact that the show has pretty much no fanbase. But I assumed Japan would eat this shit up. Fortunately, they didn't! It's a complete flop in every sense of the word. With sales like this I think it's safe to say KyoAni are never pulling this shit again. No more second seasons, no more 'spiritual successors', no recap movies, nothing. Now that the show is well on its way to fading into obscurity, let us never speak of it again. Rather, let's look ahead to KyoAni's future. I mean I could do without the Hibike recap movie but Hibike Season 2 and Koe no Katachi are on the way. That's cool. |

| This is, by my standards, a perfect 6.5/10 shitshow. A vomit fest of bright colors that brings a lot of fun and silliness that I usually dig in. KyoAni is obviously more capable then this but it's also not the worst thing they've made, so far I've enjoyed Free! and Munto and the first season of Tsurune even less. |
