1 | ![]() | 86 This anime was very highly praised by a lot of people, but I try not to set my expectations too high whenever an show is very well received, since that often makes things less enjoyable even if it is good. I'm not really into Mecha or Military that much anyway, though I haven't watched the big Mecha anime anyway. Also Military anime is my top theme according to the average mal score, but that's probably just because I haven't watched too many and because of anime like Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist. I don't mind them though, I don't really have a strong opinion on them, since they're pretty versatile. The mecha fights were actually kind of cool though, maybe I should finally start some mecha anime. It's actually a little worse than I had expected, but I wasn't exactly disappointed either. It was fun to watch and I binged it in a single day, so I won't complain, but I wouldn't consider it one of my favorite anime. I still need to watch part 2 though, so maybe I might end up liking it more, but it doesn't feel like there's gonna be anything that's going to change my whole view on the show. I didn't really like the main character. I think the concept of her character is fine and I believe that she's going to have some kind of character development, but she was just kind of annoying if I'm being honest. It makes sense, but I don't know. Also the humorous scenes where the 86 are just by themselves and enjoying their time are also kind of cringe. For example when they are calling the red haired girl "kawaii" and all that, I don't know. I don't really like the characters all that much. The plot is very interesting though. I can see why people would say that aot fans would like this. It's very similar in some aspects. I like it, not because it's like aot, but it's just good. It was a little too fast-paced for me. I mean I don't like most of the characters anyway, so that's just that, but there's so much that happened in just 11 episodes, but it didn't feel like there was anything missing really and I don't like it when they drag it out either, but it was still really fast. I mean part 2 is technically still part of season 1 so it's not like it's too short or anything, but maybe if they gave us more time to like the characters it would be better. | 7 | TV | 11
2 | ![]() | 86 Part 2 The VA of Frederica reminded me of Faputas voice from Made in Abyss and it is her. It stands out even more here than it did in Made in Abyss, her voice is really unique. I've taken a liking to all the characters. The fights were crazy. The last episode was very satisfying. | 8 | TV | 12
3 | ![]() | 91 Days The characters reminded me of Baccano. Also why does the protagonist look like a Bungo Straydogs character? Any anime with a TK opening is a good anime. Far above my expectations. I'd probably call this one of my favorite western mafia (non-yakuza) anime after Baccano. The revenge trope was also really great. It felt longer than it actually was, because of how eventful it was. The protagonist was an absolute savage. From the beginning to the end everytime something happened I thought, oh yeah, he's gonna have that character trope, or when something changed I thought, oh he's gonna be like that now, and while his character wasn't completely unpredictable and followed a certain trope, he was a really original and great protagonist for this anime. I would have been fine if he ended up just any other way, but they perfectionized his character. perfectionizing might be exaggerating a little, but it's not too far off. As it is normal with mafia stories, there were a lot of deaths. Unexpected deaths. It is fascinating, how could they give a 12 episode anime so many great twists? Not even necessarily death related. This anime with almost the same plot could have also been a 6/10, maybe even a 5/10, but the writing was just so overwhelmingly good, some episodes were really perfect, it couldn't have been any better. I feared that it might have a big downfall at the end and ruin the ending. There weren't many ways how it could have ended, so you could kind of expect it, but with an anime like this, it's about the journey to the ending not the ending itself. If it was the kind of show that I expected, the ending would have changed almost nothing and if the ending was trash, the anime would still have been good, oh but I still feared that they might end it in a certain way, but I'm pretty satisfied with the ending. | 9 | TV | 12

6 | ![]() | Ajin Good anime, binged it in one day. Btw, this paragraph is probably a spoiler, but I don't know how else to talk about the protagonist: I didn't really understand why everyone hated the mc in the first few episodes, because he was acting relatively reasonable in my opinion. I didn't think that he acted like a wimp. It became more clear that he was pretty sociopathic later on in the series. He acted kind of like an asshole, but I don't hate him, he's not acting like the typical sociopathic character in anime that just becomes really evil and doesn't have any kind of moral and basically just destroys anything in his way. I don't know, It's late so I'm kind of tired and can't write too well. Also I started this anime because of the protagonist in the first place. I was looking for an anime with an protagonist like him. I don't exactly like him, but he fits that criteria fairly well. The main antagonist is pretty cool. I dislike him, but I respect him as a character, so I can see why others would like him. His motive was pretty stupid though, kind of ruined his character a little. I was wishing to see more of Kai to be honest, but oh well. Maybe in season 2. The graphics were kind of off turning. Pretty bad cgi and choppy animation, it was like 5fps. Got used to it after a while though. I even started to like it at some point, idk. | 8 | TV | 13
7 | ![]() | Ajin OVA Omg the watch order is so confusing, I got spoiled by a recap in the second episode. Also the score is for the first OVA, don't know why they aren't seperated. Second one kinda bad. It's okay, just kinda unnecessary. | 7 | OVA | 2
8 | ![]() | Ajin Part 2 It's a good anime, but this season felt kinda off. Also they hinted a season 3, but it never came, so there isn't a proper ending either. To be honest, I believe that season 3 would have been pretty mediocre anyway, with the development of the plot in season 3. I loved season 1 of this anime, but this season left me kind of disappointed. I was hoping for a good proper ending, but I didn't really get any ending and this season lacked something, I can't really tell what it is though. It also got kind of repetitive at some point. Was fun to watch either way though. | 6 | TV | 13

15 | ![]() | Baccano! Specials Kind of sad that there is no season 2. Would have loved to have seen more of Graham. I guess I'll read the Light Novel then. | 8 | Special | 3
16 | ![]() | Bakemonogatari Obviously I heard a lot about the Monogatari Series, but fortunately I didn't come across any plot spoilers. I've seen some scenes though, most of them from other seasons though. The art style looks really good and clean, which surprised me since it came out in 2009. The visuals as a whole were pretty unique as well though. Loved the unusual camera angles, especially in the first few episodes and the flashing texts from the Light Novel worked pretty well too I think. Wasn't really necessary to read, but I did it anyway. Can't hurt. I think the first episode was a pretty good hook into the story. The storytelling in this anime is really cool and in the first episode there are a lot of different things that aren't totally obscure, but somehow they are very different from how most anime are told in a way. The introduction to Senjougahara (I just clicked on the wiki to see how her name is spelled and saw a major spoiler, I'm very mad right now. It was just for Bakemonogatari so I thought that I would get spoiled just from that, but I was wrong.) was pretty much perfect in my opinion. She wasn't my favorite character, but I think that she was a really good tsundere character. There are an absurd amount of tsundere characters and I don't particularly like or dislike them, it really depends on how they are written, but just existing for the sake of being a tsundere is really lame and off-putting in my opinion. She very much had the characteristics of a tsundere, but the way that was executed for her character fits really well I think, I don't really know how to say it right now. I thought that it was really cool how every girl had their own opening. Also the ending felt like it was made just for episode 12, that was really nice. Oshino (this was the character that the wiki spoiled me about) always seemed kind of scary or like that there is something shady about him, but he ended up just being a really nice awkward guy. | 8 | TV | 15
17 | ![]() | Banana Fish To be honest, I was unsure wether I should give this an 8/10 or a 9/10. If decimal scores existed, I would probably give it a 8.5/10. The plot was pretty original. It wasn't formulaic, it definitely was a story that stood out from most anime. There were some inconsistencies in the plot, but I could overlook those, since the anime was still captivating, even with those inconsistencies. Also I guess you could say that there was a certain "event" that was rather repetitive and started to feel a little stupid after the like 5th time that it had happened, also taking into consideration that it still happened when the anime was almost over, but that sounds worse than it is really. Banana Fish also lost it's spotlight over time, but that's alright since the plot was already filled with a lot of other important events already. Honestly, there was so much that happened, it's a great plot. There were a lot of gay characters though. Like an unrealistic amount of gay characters. The character diversity was also awesome. Every character was very well-written, or at least the majority of them, which is really surprising, since there are soo many characters, but they all have their purpose and all had their important role. None of them felt bland. I loved Shorter, he was my favorite character. Characters like Eiji are often hated on, but they executed his character really well. I also liked that they had lots of ugly characters. Ugly characters as in characters with shitty personalities. The antagonists were really despicable. They showed their bad sides pretty well. I kind of felt like they tried to put the main antagonist in a good light a little though. I mean it was obvious that he was supposed to be hated, but there were just a few things hinting to that, or maybe I'm just misinterpreting it. Didn't like that though either way. The ending was really good. It's hard to make a good ending, but they did really well. I thought that it would end differently, but I'm not disappointed, it's almost the perfect ending, very deserved. That being said, I hated it. I was so sad, I would have cried if I could. It's definitely an ending that is worth crying over, but that sadly didn't happen to me this time. Maybe I wasn't emotionally invested enough. Maybe I should have binged it. | 8 | TV | 24
18 | ![]() | Bartender: Kami no Glass Honestly I'm not very good at reviewing things, even though I've already kind of done it with a lot of other anime, but it still doesn't really show my true appreciation for these anime. It was a very relaxing anime, every time an episode of this anime ended, it made me feel so warm inside. I even made myself a cocktail for the last 2 episodes, for the extra feels. I should have done that from the start to be honest, it made it feel even nicer. I don't really know what I am supposed to say about the plot. It was a very short, but very enjoyable anime. It was very slow paced, but in a good way! The pacing fit the anime really well. I feel like it could also have been a 24 episode anime, but it wasn't very popular in the first place so probably wouldn't have been worth it. It was well excecuted though. The characters are all really cool tbh. I can't really think of a single bad character. Even though the anime was so short, you really got to see the personalities of the characters really well and some even had their own little arc. It felt really laid-back it was really nice. I wish that they would have shown more of the protagonists character, like backstory wise and such. You didn't really get to see how he developed into the person you saw him as in the anime. I mean they kind of showed it, but it didn't really feel like it was enough. The visuals were pleasant to watch. The character design and animation were a huge upgrade to the original anime. Especially the animation of the cocktails and the preparation of them. It is a bartending anime, so it would make sense that they would make those scenes detailed, but it was still really nice. Also they added real labels to all of the beverages and they were really detailed too. They took the details to the bartending aspects seriously and I learned a lot about alcohol, but it was really interesting. I believe that the original was more informative, this remake was more refined and kept a little more simpler. I will compare it to the original once I have actually watched it though. The soundtrack was beautiful. It added a lot to the atmosphere of the anime. Ending was great too, the last episode. Well I was expecting a different ending to be honest, but it's fine I guess, it was still very nice nonetheless. | 8 | TV | 12
19 | ![]() | Boku dake ga Inai Machi I don't really rewatch anime too much, I'm doing it more now than I used to do, but this is one of the anime that I just rewatch from time to time, I don't know why. | 8 | TV | 12

27 | ![]() | Charlotte I was relatively young when i first watched this, so I probably have a bias on the rating, but this is also one of the anime that I rewatch sometimes together with Erased. Erased and Charlotte just go together with me for some reason, like they're not really similar at all, but I always think of both of them when i think about one of them. 5th rewatch: Been a few years since I've watched charlotte the last time and this will mostlikely be my last rewatch. It is very enjoyable to watch, the concept is good and it has a special place in my heart, solely because of how many times I've watched it back then. It is way too fast paced, it would have been better as a 24 episode anime imo, the premise is alright, but it wasn't really enough to get too invested into the charatcers, though it still started out alright. The last few episodes were extremly rushed though, it just completely changed it's entire theme and everything and especially the last episode was extremely rushed, it felt like when someone tries to finish a 2 hour presentation 10 minutes before going to work, because they forgot about it until they remembered right after they woke up and just try to cram as many key points into the presentation without any connections or more details to it. It's disappointing, if it wasn't for the fact that it was so rushed, it would have been a solid 8 at least. | 7 | TV | 13

32 | ![]() | Cyberpunk: Edgerunners It sure felt very cyberpunk. I didn't play the game myself, but I've seen some things, but it must have been really hype for people who did play the game. It felt very fast-paced, but that also kind of adds to the vibe of the show, however I couldn't really get too attached to any of the characters because of that. I still liked the characters a lot though, they weren't bland at all, very fun to watch. I love the way they portrayed the cyberpsychosis, felt very "realistic" I'd say. It was just very well executed, the soundtrack and visuals were awesome yeah. | 8 | ONA | 10

36 | ![]() | Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction (ONA) Watch episode 0 after episode 16. It was soo good. I was digging this anime so hard, I was always looking forward to the next episode, even with all the slice of lifey elements it was so entertaining. It also definitely is not a slice of life anime. I don't really feel like writing a big review though. I fucking loved Ontan since episode 1, she's just a vibe character yk 😎. Interesting characters? Yeah maybe, but I don't think that that description is too accurate. The characters are very cool. I would go more into detail, but I'm too lazy or something. The plot was so interesting, so cool. It had everything, the poor invaders :(. The politics, The propaganda, friendship. the totally unnecessary and weird ass relationship of Kadode and her teacher, time travel. I could talk so much about all of what happened, but it would spoil a lot and I'm not good with words. It was just an amazing show. This anime says a lot about society 😔, all jokes aside though, the interaction of humans and invaders and the split in society in general. It was hard. Yeah I don't know what to say at this point lmao. The ending was so disappointing, so incredibly disappointing. I don't know if it's just me, but episode 17 was just like, yeah nevermind. I mean it was an amazing anime the whole time over, but they really messed up so bad with the ending, at least for me. Like episode 16 hit so hard, then episode 17 left me with such an unsatisfied feeling, It's not like, I mean there is so much more that could have happened. Even Episode 16 ending was better, but even that wasn't quite right, it could have had the perfect ending and I mean it wasn't so bad that it would ruin the entire anime, because I mean. It's hard to explain like this. But that was really not good. No. Despite that I think that this was a really great anime, more people should know about this, it's so much better than most other anime that are much more popular than Dededede. They just really messed up with the release and marketing and everything, it almost feels intentional. Such a huge disrespect to this absolute masterpiece of a show, even with it's flaws. | 9 | ONA | 17
37 | ![]() | Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction (ONA) Episode 0 I watched this after I finished Dededede, so it didn't really ad anything to the experience. Personally I wouldn't watch it right before starting with the actual anime, I think right before the last episode (after episode 16) would be pretty good. That would also be the chronological order in the plot. I guess it was to set the hype for the anime, but it's not worth the spoilers imo. I wish someone would have told me to watch this after episode 16, but it's not like i missed much because of that. Definitely shouldn't be an episode 0, the placement doesn't fit at all and doesn't work like it was intended in my opinion. | 3 | ONA | 1
38 | ![]() | Death Parade This was a fucking masterpiece. Probably the best anime original that I've ever watched. I thought that it was going to be a very gorey anime based on the first episode, even if there was barely any blood, but that was not the case. The opening and the ending were great and I love the message and philosophy of the story. I really love Decim and his character development. It heavily empathises how hard judging people really is and that you will never really be able to fully understand anyone, no matter how much you know about them. I don't know, this kind of sounds stupid lol, but I love it, I really do. I really didn't expect too much at all from this anime, but I'm really glad that I've watched it. | 9 | TV | 12
39 | ![]() | Devilman: Crybaby Well that was not what I expected when I heard that the animation was unique and experimental. It didn't really make me sad, it was too fast paced for that, but wow, the shock value was really up there, after every episode I had to take a little break and just take it all in, especially after episode 9. I binged it all in a day anyway. There was a lot of nudity and gore. I like how they did the demon vs human civilwar thing, it kind of reminded me of Ajin, but it was a lot more. It was different here kind of. I don't know, it was crazy, it was. It was such a good show and I never want to watch it again. The scene with Taro and his dad, that was hard... really hard. It was not exactly sad, even though it is very sad, but it's not something that would typically get you sad I think, it was mildly disturbing and it left you with a certain feeling to it after you watched it that you probably won't forget. All of these characters, they didn't deserve it. That's all I'm gonna say. | 7 | ONA | 10
40 | ![]() | Dorohedoro It's actually good, I'm surprised | 7 | TV | 12
41 | ![]() | Dororo solid shonen. I don't have much to say about this anime. Dororos and Hyakkimarus dynamic was all I needed really. | 7 | TV | 24
42 | ![]() | Dungeon Meshi Actually really good. Didn't think that a dungeon anime could actually be this high quality. It was like a feel-good anime for me during the time that I watched this. I needed a break from all these other intense anime that I've been watching recently. Obviously there were a lot of intense moments and excitement here as well, but the main focus was these almost slice of life cooking scenes. I need more cooking anime. Reminds me of when I was watching Food Wars, though that was quite different lol. It just felt really nice watching them cook and all and it wasn't boring either. Felt really nice. The plot is also interesting and entertaining and I love seeing more obscure monsters as they keep going deeper into the dungeon. It's very intense at times, but they always release this tension right before it climaxes, so it's never too serious, even though it definitely could be, but the focus is Dungeon Meshi after all and I love that. There is a really good balance between these wholesome and fun cooking scenes and the excitement. The characters are all really cool. It's like the perfect main cast imo. Everyone has their own very befitting role. Laois is also a perfect main character for this show specifically. Senshi is probably my favorite character I'd say. Over the time I've appreciated Marcille more and more as well. They all have the perfect dynamic kind of. Their characters aren't heavily exaggerated (kind of) but they are so unique, or rather they work really well here. I love Falin as well even if she only reunited with the others for one episode, but I was kind of sad when she was back, I like that it's only the four of them again, I don't know, I really like her, but I'm happy that she's not back yet. I think it's great how it is now. Of course Izutsumi joined them now and that's fine I guess, but I really love these four characters as this group. Of course the other characters are cool too. I liked how they added Izutsumi in the OP after she joined the party. The first OP & ED fit really well to the anime imo. I really like them. The second OP was good too, but for the first OP & ED I'm really happy. It's not a mindblowing anime, but it's one that I really enjoyed. | 9 | TV | 24
43 | ![]() | Durarara!! There is a lot going on in the first season, without much background knowledge, which is a good thing for this anime. You'll mostlikely be very confused when watching it for the first time, but it's definitely interesting. Based on how I usually rate anime, this shouldn't really be a 10/10, but this anime is just really memorable for me for some reason and it's well- unique. In a way. I wouldn't say that it's crazy or anything and it's not exactly underrated, it was quite popular. Dunno haha. I just really liked it. I would understand if other people didn't like it as much as I did though. | 10 | TV | 24

55 | ![]() | Girls Band Cry First of all, that was the best cgi I've seen in anime up to this point. Nina's face was so expressive and I cannot imagine this anime as a 2d anime. It's very impressive that the actual band members voiced the characters, they did a great job. The songs were really nice, definitely going to check out their other songs outside of the anime too. I don't really know what to say lol, it really feels like a band anime. It's great. The characters are probably the best part of the show, especially Nina. They all have like actual personality. There is a certain realism to it, I mean they aren't necessarily realistic, but you can definitely put yourself into the thought process of the characters and their emotions feel very real. It's awesome really. | 8 | TV | 13

57 | ![]() | Hyouka Beautiful animation, bravo! I liked the dynamic between the main cast. Oreki's character is one that you'd see quite often in anime like this, but he was pretty well-written, I liked his character a lot. It still felt like a very individual character. It was cool to see how Chitanda slowly influenced Oreki. I was expecting something slightly different when going into this anime, but that was just because I didn't know what it was about, I'm very satisfied with it. The mystery theme was also really cool, there was never really any big drama, but the way they made these normal scenarios into these little detective scenes was pretty cool. I don't really have much else to say for this, I enjoyed it and I will remember it. It made me rethink and realise what the actual meaning of slice of life is. It was mostly not boring if you're in the right mood for it, and it still had a plot, it was a mostly character-driven show though, so the plot was just the character development. There wasn't too much drama and no action and that's pretty normal for slice of life anime, but it still felt a little different from other slice of life, but when I think of the definition of slice of life, this feels very much like that. It was just nice watching their school days and how they developed as a person. | 8 | TV | 22

"Very well, Lord Perv" What an ispirational dialogue Crazy how I gave this a 6/10 2 before. Well I didn't finish it and I just did that from memory, I probably enjoyed it 2 years ago too, otherwise I probably wouldn't even have made it until episode 11. Well you either hate or love this anime pretty much. I loved it. The mc is such a chuuni and the whole world just perfectly plays out to his delusions. It's funny because he just sees it all as a game or a roleplay and plays his roles to write his own story, but everyone else is taking it so seriously. Seeing it from his perspective is so funny, he's just so deluded. The action scenes are actually really fire. There are also so many fire lines "I am atomic" that shit sends shivers down my spine, I mean everything he says is so cringe that it's cool and funny as hell again. The character names are also crazy. Perv Asshat. I actually liked the OP a lot, kinda a bop. Not like crazy, but pretty good; vibeable. It sounds pretty much just like any other shitty isekai from what I've said, but it's different! The most obvious thing is that it doesn't take itself serious, so it's actually funny and not cringe, or rather the cringe is good. Another thing is that despite the comedy, there is also intensity or "seriousness" to it. I don't want to sound stupid, so what I mean by that is when you see the perspective of some of the other characters. It actually gives a big contrast to the comedy and it wouldn't have been as good without both these qualities. Especially in the second half of the season. Since he as himself plays a background characters, some other characters through those events would technically be the main characters or important characters in the story. If it was a different anime and he was actually the background character. Because unlike for him, they see it as very serious and real and would see his edgy role as the antagonist. Well I didn't explain it very well, but that's fine. I hope that this will get a season 3 | 9 | TV | 20
64 | ![]() | Kaijuu 8-gou Very cool shounen anime. It's not really outstanding or special, but it was very enjoyable. I don't think that there was a single episode where I got bored. Very bingeable anime. The protagonist was aslo one of my favorite shounen protagonists. His character is rather simple, but also very likeable. The opening and ending were bangers. I was also really glad that the show didn't constantly rely on an op protagonist, but I'm afraid that this might change in season 2, but I hope that the quality will remain. Oh and the animation was great too of course, which is very important for most shounen. There isn't really much to complain about if you can enjoy simpler anime too. | 7 | TV | 12

67 | ![]() | Kenka Dokugaku I changed my mind, I think a 7/10 is good. I could rate it even lower than that to be honest, but it's fun to watch as a seasonal anime. I might have to change it to a 6/10 soon. The pacing is just way too slow for such a short anime. It would have been alright if it was 24 episodes, but it isn't and most of the episode is just unnecessary recap, kind of disappointing, cuz I do enjoy watching it, even if it’s like kind of basic. Protagonist is pretty good for what he is. The struggle of becoming a good fighter were pretty accurately displayed and you could also that methaporically in other aspects of life. He didn't just become op after 1 month of intense training and isolation. He was still that weak loser. The fighting techniques are also pretty cool. Okay, so Viral Hit is over now 🥹. I changed it back to a 7/10, I really enjoyed it, even if the plot and everything is really simple, I don't know, it still feels unique. Really looking forward to season 2 :) I LOVE HOBIN | 7 | TV | 12

74 | ![]() | Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World possible spoilers This was an episodic anime, so every episode told it's own story in Kino's Journey. I'm a big fan of these Journey anime in general. The storytelling is often very unique and you get to see every step of the protagonists development and the world around them, it's great. This was no exception. From the first episode I thought that this would be more of a feel-good slice of life anime, but the second episode changed the whole tone of the anime, it's still one of my favorite episodes, just because of how surprising it was. Each episode portrayed very real problems in a very exaggerated way, almost metaphorical, but that's not really the right word for it. I don't mean that as critique, I mean that as a good thing, I think that was great. All the episodes had a very calm feeling to it, but you always knew that there would be something off and so you would theorize a lot and think a lot about what might happen, or try to understand the characters actions. Also though the episodes had this calm feeling, there was often some kind of twist that left you thinking. But as Kino is a traveler, this was part of her journey and she knew it, so she wouldn't let that hinder her journey. There were some episodes that were absolutely fantastic and some others that weren't quite as interesting, since each episode told it's own story. Even then, even the episodes that weren't quite as good also always had a message. I think Kino's Journey did a great job at portraying these topics in it's own way. I think Kino herself is a really great well written character. At first she looks like a very independent character who is emotionally detached to most things and always strictly sticks to her principles as she is always stoic and we never really see her inner monologue. And while that is mostly true, it's not that she actually doesn't feel anything, she just learned a lot from her experiences on her journey and over time adapted to the traveler life based on these experiences. When she speaks to Hermes for example we often get to see that even she often doubts herself and can't always tell right from wrong. Throughout the whole show we also often see Kino sticking very close to her own morals even when there are much easier ways for her out there, but knowing herself well enough not to let her emotions get the better out of her and get herself involved in things that are not in her control and valuing her own life. I didn't really like Hermes voice at first, but after a while I got used to it and started to like it too. I have no strong opinions on Hermes though, I don't know. Cool. The last episode kind of scared me. There were a lot of implications. The country Kino went to was very similar to the country that she herself was from. Also the girl that had the same name and was overall very similar to Kino herself. And there was constantly this off vibe in the episode, like there was something the village was hiding. I was afraid that it would be similar to Kino's country and something would happen to Sakura and Kino would get attached to her and try to protect her and then dying, so that Sakura would be the new Kino and start her own Journey. I mean it would have made a lot of sense, but I don't think I could have accepted an ending like that. Though the actual ending was quite a harsh ending as well, I could have never predicted that. It was a good ending, but I don't know how to feel about it. Well at first I thought that it took place at the end, but chronologically it was one of Kino's first countries it seems. It makes a lot of sense. It explains a lot about a lot of things Kino does. The reason why Kino is so strict about the 3 day rule. Also in the ending you saw something that you could never see before in Kino. A very different facial expression from what she usually had. It was full of despair because there was nothing she could do, guilt because I'd imagine that she'd blamed herself for Sakuras end. But Kino did not give up, she took it as an experience and learned from it for her future journey. Overall a very nice journey. I think it's worth it to just think about each episode for a while after finishing one. While it's never exactly intense, you often just gotta think about it for a moment after finishing an episode, because each episode is it's own story. | 9 | TV | 13

80 | ![]() | Made in Abyss spoolers, no read 😎 I didn't hear anything about what exactly this anime was about or what happened, but it got my interest since I've seen a lot of people talk about why this was such a good anime, or rather what it made people feel. This is one of these anime that are the best to watch fully blind, without any context or anything. I kind of knew what I had to expect, but it still shocked me a lot, even if it was mostly pretty much what I was expecting. This season was more to set the setting I believe and I think it did a great job at doing so. The world building was also pretty interesting. It was very moe for the most part, but also not as much as I had expected, but it also is pretty much. I can't explain it really well, but I think that it was built up really well and the balance between these "unsettling" things and the moe was really good. I imagined it to be a bit more exaggerated even, but I like it more this way. It was such a great introduction into this story imo. I haven't really said anything specific, but it's just hard to point out what exactly was so good. The soundtrack was also phenomenal, like fantastic. I've heard a lot about Kevin Penkin, but this was actually really great, I don't know what else to say. I'm sure that there will be much more in season 2 of this, I am unsure what to expect. I don't actually think that it's gonna be as gruesome as people say, but how'd I know, the second season is already out, I haven't really heard anything about the second season specifically, so I'm really excited. I ended up liking the characters a lot more than I thought I would as well. I don't know how they made me so emotionally attached to these characters already. The plot is good, but the plot alone wouldn't have made it as good as it is. It's not the thing that carried this anime so much. | 9 | TV | 13
81 | ![]() | Made in Abyss Movie 3: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei The best sequel anime movie that I've seen yet. It was cruel, it was disgusting, it was heartbreakingly sad and it was also heartwarming in a way. It was just a movie, but it felt like I went on a whole new journey. 82 | ![]() | Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou I didn't expect to like Made in Abyss as a story as much as I do. I just thought that it was going to have a big shock value, but I didn't expect it to be such a beautiful story, I've really grown attached to it, I love it. This didn't quite get me as much as the first season and movie, but it definitely didn't drop in quality either. This season also had a lot in store of the gory stuff, but what I like about the gore in Made in Abyss in particular is that it disgusts you and gets you in a psychological way, more than just being disgusting to look at and just simply being there for being gory. I kind of now what Made in Abyss is like by now, so it isn't quite the reaction that you have in the first season, but damn, that was still very brutal. I like anime that have big contrasts between the world and characters and the plot and Made in Abyss just kind of has the perfect contrast in that aspect. The characters are all so cute and likeable, so seeing all of these gruesome things happening, is really painful. The new immortal suso character was also cool 😎 👌 . It was quite the sad arc, well it always is. I love made in abyss. | 8 | TV | 12

88 | ![]() | Mob Psycho 100 III I kind of ruined this one episode for myself, cause it was an emotional episode, but I was kinda sleepy, so I didn't feel it too hard, which is kinda sad, cause it was sad :( Mob Psycho was a masterpiece. It's simplistic, but at the same time so well-written. I rarely see character writing this good. It doesn't feel like a complex anime, but there is something about it that just really makes you feel. All of the characters have great character development, especially Mob and Reigen. Reigen was such a likeable character, I need more of characters like him. I can't really put into words why I love this anime so much, but it's one of my favorites now. I can't find the words do describe it right now, but it's a must watch in my opinion. | 9 | TV | 12
89 | ![]() | Mousou Dairinin This is one of those anime where I don't even know what I think of it. It was very confusing until the very end. I mean I kind of understood what it was about, but it was still very confusing. I often couldn't really tell apart what was actually real and what not, that was really hard. There were also a lot of visual metaphors and the like, but it was hard to interpret most of them to me. I don't think that it was a bad anime, it did a decent job at doing well what it was. I don't think that I could recommend this anime to anyone, it's just hard to really recommend, because well. It's just hard to recommend anime like these. I like the ED OST a lot for some reason, especially when it played in specific scenes that wasn't the ED. I don't know why, it got a nostalgic calm feeling to it, something like that. The animation was honestly very good for an anime that came out in 2004. I didn't exactly understand the ending, I mean I somewhat understand, but also not really. Like the ending ending scene I don't understand what it means, but I predicted it. That's not what I'm talking about though, I just don't understand, probably because of how confusing they made everything, so I can't really tell how much is supposed to make sense. The side plot episodes were also unexpected. I think it was pretty well structured though all in all. I didn't know what to expect when going into this, but well I'm stil confused and unsure what to think about this anime. | 6 | TV | 13

This sucks 😭 Worst first 3 episodes I've ever watched in an anime It wasn't too bad, I mean I can see the direction they were going in, but there was never a season 2 or anything, so I wouldn't know how it ends, therefore I can only give it a 5. I had high hopes for this anime, kind of disappointing. Now that some time has passed since I've watched this, I would say that the concept is good and it definitely could have been a pretty good anime, but it was poorly executed in my opinion. Also making the "highlight" of the anime (the concert) as a bad cgi scene was very disappointing too. 101 | ![]() | Ousama Ranking This is a really wholesome show. I downloaded this on my laptop to watch on my flight since this was the most appropriate thing I could think of. I've never seen a character as adorable as Bojji before. The plot was good, but it's the characters that really make this anime what it is. It also wasn't just about Bojji, a lot of characters had great character development. They completely changed my opinion on some characters through the show, though some characters like Boss or Miranjo didn't seem quite as reasonably handled or rather- Well I don't know. Bojji was really a great character, everything about him is perfect. He is super adorable, sad backstory, he was perfectly written, like everything about him is perfect. His design as well, and the VA too, though he doesn't talk much.. His character actually really surprised me. They really used him to his full potential. If it wasn't for Bojji, I wouldn't even have started this anime. The overall voice acting for all of the characters is really well though, I liked that a lot about this anime and I usually don't really notice voice acting too much. I was surprised to see that this was where the opening song was from. I like King Gnu, so that's cool. Both openings were really really good though and they both fit very well. The visuals on the EDs were great as well. Very coincidentally the manga was continued a few days after I started watching the anime after a 3 year break. I'm really looking forward to season. | 8 | TV | 23

103 | ![]() | Ping Pong the Animation I love the way they conveyed emotions and the overall character development in this show. It wasn't really too much about the sport, but their emotions, struggles and other important parts of their life were shown through the sport and I love it. It was pretty relatable and realistic in a way and all of their problems and personal struggles could also be be applied to any other general situation in someone’s life, not just ping pong, but I also liked the competive aspects and what they meant to the characters. I kind of got confused near the middle of the anime, the pace felt kinda off and I felt like I missed something, but that might just be because I accidentally watched episode 5 before episode 4. Also it didn't really go the way I thought it would, it was much more about the character development than anything, which is fine with me, I can enjoy both character focused anime and anime about the general plot development or similar. They also did a perfect job at demonstrating all of the characters personality and showing what they were playing ping pong for and their goals in life, I couldn't think of any way to make it any better, also taking into consideration how short the anime was, it's really fascinating how good and complete the character development of each character and the plot was. The art style was pretty ugly, but that's fine with me, art styles don't really keep me from watching any anime anymore, since there are more than enough high quality anime with bad art style. Also despite the art style being a little ugly, it worked really well with this anime. Some of the visuals were pretty experimental, but it was great, the flashy colourful animations were really cool and there were lots of visual metaphors or just visuals that gave off a certain feeling for the corresponding scene. The last episode was also unexpected with the time skip, but it was a perfect ending to me, I was very satisfied with the ending and the show as a whole, it was almost perfect. | 8 | TV | 11
104 | ![]() | Psycho-Pass Great anime. The protagonist seemed kind of boring to me at first, but I loved how she progressively developed throughout the show, like she actually made small character developments with each interaction until she became actually badass, I love it. It's much more unique and realistic than characters who just get so overwhelmed at some point, that they just instantly have a complete personality change. She also didn't just become emotionless either, she sticked to her world view until the end and she has really grown as a person. I love her character. The antagonist was near perfect. I loved all of the book references. He actually had some kind of principle and moral that he sticked to too, so he didn't just mercilessly kill everyone simply to be evil. He was still far from being a good person though, his goal was definitely justified, but his methods were anything but good. In the end he only cared about Individuality. The rivalry was really nice too, they were so similar yet so different. I don't know how to feel about the system. I mean, it pretty much makes the story what it is and it is supposed to be flawed, but it's kind of scary how much people relied on that system, it's not really like they had a choice though. I can't say too much about it as of rn, I will see how it will progress in the other seasons, but it definitely made the anime what it is. | 9 | TV | 22
105 | ![]() | Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Man, I completely forgot how much I loved this anime, before I rewatched it. There are few anime that get me so invested and keep thinking about it, even after I have finished it. It definitely is my favourite isekai of all time. It had everything. It was packed with emotions and made me feel so many different things in just a single episode. It was intense and always had me on the edge and was a constant mindscrew. There were moments that made me anxious, make me feel warm inside, make me sad, or cringe (in a good way) at times, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love Subaru as a character, he feels very realistic, but at the same time, is capable of much more than the average person would be able to do. Seeing the development of his mental state and his general character development throughout the show was probably the best part of it. The OPs and EDs honestly fit so well to the anime, really sets the vibe for the show. Also the soundtrack contributed so much to it as well, it made things so much more intense and it was just great. | 9 | TV | 25

I already knew that I was going to like Shaun when I saw him in the opening. John is also pretty funny, they're a great duo. I'm not really too big of a fan of Emilyko's character trope, but it's not like I hate it either and it fits. I don't dislike her. Also Kate is cool too. It's an interesting concept and it got very interesting after episode 10 as well. Based on the last episode I'd guess that it's sadly not as serious as I thought it was going to be. I thought that it would be more like The Promised Neverland or Made in Abyss (though obviously not nearly as cruel as Made in Abyss), where the characters and the setting seems very innocent at first, but then you learn about all the disturbing things and everything starts to become very serious in contrast to how cutesy it was. I already knew that it was not going to be any kind of blood massacre or anything, that's not what I've been hoping for anyway, but the end of this season was a little disappointing. There was no real loss or much consequences, but I guess it's just not that kind of show. It's more about the friendship I'd assume. That's fine with me, I still enjoy it, I was just expecting something else from the buildup. | 7 | TV | 13
115 | ![]() | Shiguang Dailiren It's strange that I've never heard anyone talk about this show before, since it seems to be fairly popular. When I first heard about it, I didn't think that it would be this sad. Nothing that would make me tear up, but it was much sadder than I had expected from descriptions. Even though it's a time travel anime, they stayed to their message till the end, which kind of made me sad, but I like that, it makes the donghua much "deeper" or at least better. The first few episodes were a little underwhelming, since there was no backstory or explanation of their powers and I thought that there would be no actual major plot, but it all kind of connected in the end, so that's fine. It was pretty intense and fun to watch and I personally liked Cheng despite the general hate for him, it's not like he acted unreasonable, it made sense and without him the show would be pretty boring. The cliffhangers for each episode were great and the episodes were all pretty unique. It's pretty much just about the characters and while the show was pretty emotional, I kind of would have wished that some characters had some more inner conflicts or portrayed a little more emotions at some part in some way, even though there were a lot of scenes like that, idk it just felt like something was missing. I love the ending and while I'm not used to watching "anime" in chinese, I like watching shows in their original language and I felt like the chinese voice acting fit here pretty well if you don't watch the interpolated animation. the interpolated version sucks, it took me a while to find a site with the normal one. | 8 | ONA | 11
116 | ![]() | Shiguang Dailiren Fanwai Pian: Biwu Zhaoqin Well, it's what you would expect from a special. You could do just fine without watching it, it doesn't contribute anything to the actual plot and just shows an unimportant task they got. It wasn't sad like the ones in the main series, but it was pretty sweet, nothing memorable though. You could do just fine without watching it if you aren't interested in content that doesn't contribute to the plot, but if you're a big fan of Link Click, then it would probably be worth watching. Not sure why it's called Episode 5.5, since I don't see the correlation between episode 5 and this special, but yeah. Nevermind, it is canon to the plot, but it has a different vibe from the other episodes and I'd still say that it's fine to skip. | 6 | ONA | 1
117 | ![]() | Shiguang Dailiren II This season was pretty different than the first season and the first season also makes a lot more sense now. The first season was enjoyable to watch, but you only get to see what really makes it good, if you watch it as a whole, really excited for season 3. I thought that a lot of things in the first season lacked a lot of context and were kind of random, but turns out that, that was done on purpose. I was pretty confused while watching the first season, but this made it so much better. Season 3 will probably be the finale and will clear up all of the remaining questions. There were lots of twists and a lot of the things were not easy to predict, I really liked that. This season had a different focus and was told a little differently I'd say, but it still felt like the same show and it just made the first season much better, like I've mentioned this a lot now, but in the first season it just all didn't really link together and there was practically no background information and felt like you started watching right in the middle of an anime, whereas in this season it felt a lot more like it's own show with a unique plot and more complexity to it's structure (saying all of this makes the first season sound bad, but what I mean is, that this season made the first season pretty much perfect). I would compare this to the attack on Titan season 1 situation, where while the first season of attack on titan is good, you don't really notice what most of it means until later on. Qiao Ling also played more of a role this season compared to the first season. I love Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi though, they're not too special to be honest, but they aren't exactly generic either, I just like them. Getting attached to any of the supporting characters in this show is never a good idea though, they already played me so many times. chinese VA is still great, little visual details were nice, also I liked the OP & ED song of last season more, but it's still by the same artists and there were also a lot of cool details in the OP, without spoiling anything really. | 8 | ONA | 12
118 | ![]() | Shiguang Dailiren: Yingdu Pian It's back, I'm so excited. Link Click keeps growing more and more on me. The first season was already good, but I didn't think too much about it at that point, but as I continued watching it and then waited for the third season, it kept getting better. I've only watched the 1st episode of this "season" as of right now, but each season is fundamentally different and approaches and tells the story in a different way and all of it is necessary and it makes it really great, even if it is very different each season. Each season isn't just a simple continuation of the story; they all do their own thing kind of, but the story is still chronologically mostly. I also really love the characters now. In the first season I thought that there was barely any focus on the characters themselves, but I keep appreciating the first season more and more as well. It's such a great show. I was hoping that the OP & ED would be by the same artists again, like it was the last 2 seasons, but the ED was different sadly. I always loved the OPs & EDs. They are also very different from how they were the last 2 seasons. The OP is kind of bittersweet nostalgic like, if that makes sense. It kind of feels like a "happy sad memory goodbye" ed of like the last season of an anime with a depressing emotion filled season. I don't know if anything I just said makes sense, but at least I know what I mean. It just really gives me this last season op vibe. I hope that this isn't the ending of Link Click, but I wouldn't know and I wouldn't dare looking it up now either. But it also kind of reflects how Lu Guang feels I'd say, this whole season is very much based around him I'd assume. I mean obviously, right? I'm really confused. I don't even know what this arc was about. They can't just end it like that. They just opened up so many new things and just ended it like that. Does this even count as a third season? I want a third season now. I need a sequel now. For what did I even watch this now? Now I gotta wait 2 years again to be all confused. I don't even know.. | - | ONA | 6

132 | ![]() | Sonny Boy At first I thought that I would understand, but it ended up not really following a real plotline and there was no conclusion really. It was all just left to interpret pretty much. I'm sure that there is a lot of stuff that I missed too. I don't really know how to exactly give my thoughts about this anime, because I am still unsure what exactly it was about. In the second half I always was unsure if I was on the right episode, I always thought that I accidentally skipped an episode, like everytime. It was a little episodic from that point on. Not gonna lie though, the first couple of episodes it just looked like an okayish anime to me, I didn't really think that I would like it too much. I couldn't have predicted that it would suddenly become so strange, it left me really confused. I still don't fully understand it, but I liked it for some reason, I don't know. The plot felt relatively irrelevant, because there wasn't too much of a plot? It felt more like an anecdote about life or something. Mizuho, Nagara and Rajdhana of course were all pretty cool characters though. Kind of. I'm also kind of confused though. There was like nothing really at the end, it's like an open ending I guess, but what am I even supposed to think about that now. You could see a little character development in Nagara, but well I don't even really know what his character was really about in the end. I mean they made it look like it would be much more important at the start. They all decided how they were gonna continue with their life there, but yes. ok. Also I really like the OST, sadly it's not on spotify. It kinda set the tone and it was really chill and just well, it was nice. OKe. | 8 | TV | 12

135 | ![]() | Steins;Gate I've finally watched it. I'll keep it short, I just want to chill right now, cause it was really great. Great characters. This is supposedly the best time travel anime, or at least the most popular one, so I expected more mindblowing moments, but what I saw was still soo good. It's probably just what I would want Steins;Gate to be, my expectations were just a little too high, because I didn't know what to expect at all and there are so many things that you can do with time travel and I have only heard good things about this anime. I wasn't disappointed at all though, I didn't know what to expect anyway, so there would be no reason to complain about a story so rich. I just kept waiting on "the moment", but I don't remember a real "the moment" I was just in it at some point and it was great. Thinking back about it, how it all just developed and flowed so perfectly together, it's great. What surprised me the most really was the ending though. It was the perfect ending, if all anime had an ending like this, there would be nothing to complain about, it's not like it's something that you couldn't expect, but it was just so good for some reason. It makes the story feel so complete and perfects it as a whole. | 10 | TV | 24
136 | ![]() | Steins;Gate 0 spoilers I'm happy that they showed the other timeline, I was kind of curious what happened there and I couldn't just end it there with Steins;Gate after finishing it. I needed more. The plot of the other timeline was actually pretty interesting, but it did drag out a little at times. There were some episodes that just felt very slow. In the original Steins;Gate it had a slow start too, but I didn't mind it there because while it was kind of slow, it was necessary and I still liked it a lot, I easily went from episode to episode without ever getting bored, I was always hooked. It's not that it was terrible in S;G0 though, it was still bearable and well also enjoyable since I did care a lot about the characters. It also had some really exciting episodes though, the second half especially was really good. I was sad that Suzuha got so little screentime in S;G, well she did get quite a lot of screentime, but I still wanted to see more of her. I definitely got to see a lot of her here. Same thing with Mayushii. We got to see a lot more of Mayushii's character and her thoughts. It made me appreciate her a lot more than I already did, she really is such a nice character. It was pretty painful to see Okabe so sad and hopeless all the time, same goes for Mayushii, her getting all sad because of Okabe was so sad. It's kind of for different reasons w them both, like why it was so sad to see. When Hououin Kyouma made his cameback though, it felt so epic, I was getting really excited and happy, because that's when i realised how much I actually love Hououin Kyouma. I actually missed Kurisu a lot though, I wanted to see more Kurisu and Okabe. Neither Amadeus nor Hiyajo could replace her. Amadeus didn't even feel like Kurisu, because she wasn't. But I barely even cared about Amadeus tbh, I just wanted Kurisu. Guess I won't see her until I rewatch Steins;Gate. I didn't really care that much about the new characters. I mean it's not like they didn't take at least some place in my heart, because well, it was nice I guess, but I was a lot more attached to the other characters. I thought Leskinen was kinda funny and liked him a little, but well... I wasn't like too excited watching Steins;Gate 0 like I was when I watched Steins;Gate, but I think that it did add a lot to how I perceive Steins;Gate as a whole. It really made me want to rewatch Steins;Gate even more, because it's one of these anime where you see and feel all these different things when rewatching it. I'm glad that I watched S;G0 as well. Also I really liked the OP and the first ED. The OST as a whole was also pretty nice though. | 8 | TV | 23

146 | ![]() | The Fable I usually drop a lot of seasonal anime that I watch because I lose interest in them as time passes by, but I've really been looking forward to watching The Fable every week. It made me kind of sad that it had such a low rating at the start and barely had any publicity, since it was my favorite airing anime during that time. Fortunately it has gotten a bit more popular in the end. I still doubt that it will get a season 2 however. I feel like not nearly enough people even know about this anime and others didn't give it a chance, because the studio is known to not make the best adaptations and while the animation was not too good, it was still great for the budget I'd imagine they have worked with compared to anime that were much more popular and still mediocre at best. I liked that it didn't feel to animeish, I could have probably enjoyed it just as much if it was a live action (I know that there are live action movies about The Fable, but those are a little different storytelling wise). I really like the usual anime vibe, but it's also nice to have something more "natural", not so exaggerated once in a while. The characters feel more realistic in a way, even though I doubt that there would be anyone like Akira irl… His boss seems like a really fun person to work for though! Under-appreciated character. Also the art style felt very fitting to the tone of the anime. I can't really say what I specifically liked about the anime, the first cour was definitely my favorite one, the characters weren't really exceptional, but they still felt well-written. A lot of things went into different directions than I would have thought that they would, pretty much everything that I thought would happen, turned out different than what I had in mind, don't know if it was intended to be that way, and well. Thumbs up. They showed a lot of ugly things and I like the way they portrayed the yakuza here a lot more than how it's usually shown in other anime. The OP & ED songs were straight up bangers, especially the first ones. They didn't do them justice with those plain pngs at all. They ended it quite well, the story isn't over, but it would be an acceptable end if they end up releasing no season 2. They probably didn't end it with a cliffhanger or anything, to play it safe to just end it there if it doesn't get enough popularity to make a season 2, but it could also be pretty easily picked up again if they do decide to release a season 2. I doubt it, but I won't give up on those hopes. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with everything. | 9 | TV | 25

154 | ![]() | Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song Does this count as an Idol anime? I'd guess so. Damn they tricked me into watching a disguised idol show again. I'm kidding. I wasn't fully convinced in the beginning. I liked it, but it felt like something was missing, or that it wasn't exactly my kind of show. Whenever that happens I wonder if it's because I'm watching too much anime recently and just wasn't feeling it anymore, but I'm always glad when it turns out that that is not the case. It was good from the start, I really like Matsumoto, he got a lot of personality and I'm glad that he had some character development as well. The Diva Vivy thing kind of confused me at first- or well, I'm still a little confused but.. but what? I don't know. I didn't even realise it that much while watching, but I think Vivy was a great character. Her character development was really good, I don't know how or why, but it was perfect. I usually wouldn't care too much about characters like her I think, but Vivy is special, I don't know. They didn't miss with her character. I already mentioned, I wasn't too convinced at the start, but at some point I got really hooked. It was such a cinematic experience, I didn't even have time to think while watching it. So much was happening and I loved every moment of it. It's really a great story. I'm not really into AI shows and all that, but I liked Vivy a lot more than I thought I would. I think Navis appearance at the end was a great addition. It's such a rich plot, it's great, I have no complaints. I think it's a really good story, what more can I say? | 8 | TV | 13

157 | ![]() | Yofukashi no Uta First of all, I love Creepy Nuts, so I was really excited when I heard that they named an entire anime after one of their albums that was inspired by that album and included songs of that album. Seeing all of these songs that I love in the anime was so cool. OP & ED were obviously cool too. Creepy Nuts was the reason why I decided to watch this anime in the first place. I never really got bored while watching this anime for some reason, it was pretty bingeable. An unbingeable one-cour anime would probably have to be rather bad or boring though. I can't really tell what exactly it was that made me not get bored though, because most of the time there wasn't a lot happening. The animation was pretty smooth and it was pleasant on me eyes to watch, though that may come off wrong with some of the contents in the anime. I just think that the bright and colourful colours work really well with the theme of this anime. Great soundtrack, though I've already mentioned that, I just really love Creepy Nuts if I haven't mentioned that already. Was really funny to see them as characters in the anime, at first I was like "Wait isn't that Creepy Nuts? Nah, it can't be them. But they look just like them? And then I saw their faces and I was sure of it and they also voiced their own characters. The plot wasn't too special and there was no reason to really get attached to any of the characters, I liked them though, but I don't really know if it was even intended for us to really feel for them or anything yet, it's not like much happened anyway, but if something did it wouldn't move me that much, but that's probably because they intended to make it at least 2 seasons, maybe even 3. Also while the plot was nothing mindblowing, I also can't really think of any anime like this, but it also wasn't special. Despite that it was quite enjoyable to watch, but I can't really tell what it is, but I think I'm going to like season 2 maybe. Also It felt like some of the scenes weren't as moving as they could have been, obviously the characters weren't all that emotional and it was rather comedic most of the time, but that's not exactly what I'm talking about anyway. For example scenes that were supposed to be scary or unsettling could have been a little more intense imo, or other scenes that would make you feel all warm inside, though I'm fine with that, there is enough potential for that in the second season and it's not exactly like those scenes that already exist were written badly, I don't think so at all. | 7 | TV | 13

162 | ![]() | Zankyou no Terror I really don't understand why this anime was as popular as it was. I mean sure, the first few episodes were great and I got really invested into the story, I mean it was a really good build-up, but they kind of ruined everything for no reason. The 2 girl characters are absolutely unnecessary and just kind of ruin the anime if anything, especially five. It didn't make any sense at all. It's really disappointing. I also didn't get the ending at all. I feel like I missed something, because there wasn't really much that could make me emotionally attached to these characters, so I don't really understand why everyone online was so sad about the ending. I mean, I disliked it, but that's not really because I was sad, I was just really confused. I don't really see a single quality that this anime would fulfil. The last episode could be perfect, if the rest of the anime let me get attached to the characters, but it really didn't. It was really pointless and disappointing. The first few episodes were great as I said, it could have been a masterpiece, I mean I also liked some characters a lot, but others were also really terrible, so I don't know. It could have been so much better, but at some point it just seemed like they didn't even try to give the plot any depth. I mean the concept is good, but the execution was horrible. I would probably give it a 4/10, but there are a few things that I enjoyed about the anime, so I will leave it at 5/10. | 5 | TV | 11
163 | ![]() | [Oshi no Ko] I didn't expect to cry on the first episode. I really didn't expect to love this anime as much as I did. It took me a very long time to even start it, because the thought of an Idol anime didn't appeal me too much, but I was curious what it was about. I expected it to go into a completely different direction tbh. The first episode was perfect, I didn't even realise that it was a 90 minutes long episode at first, but I probably wouldn't have been as invested in the anime if the first episode wasn't that long. I could already empathise with the characters in the first episode, which means that the characters were obviously well written 😎. Kana seemed like a nice character to me at first, but I kind of got less intersted in her as the show progressed. That doesn't mean that she's a bad character, but I got kinda bored of her. Okay, I just wanna say again that the first few episodes and especially the very first one were perfect. There was so much love put into the first episode and it's what got me really hooked on the anime. Without the first episode it would have still been a very good anime, but there is just something about it, that makes you feel like (i dunno, fill out the blanks yourself, I just wanna finish these notes). Also what I mean by, it would have been good even without the first episode, isn't the anime with the first episode left out, but rewritten basically, like if it happened differently. The visuals are also so nice, like especially the eyes. The eyes are SO detailed. You can tell so much, just by looking at the eyes of the characters, in some scenes they are often even animated and it's just soo good. The colourful animation is just overall great though, I'm bad at this kinda stuff idk lol. It also picks on so many different themes, it is fascinating. I highly underrated this anime before watching it. Of course it is still an Idol anime, but this anime showed me that, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It showed a lot of the bts-sides of the perfomance industry. There are just so many small details that mean so much, which you might not instantly notice, or you do, but don't think much of, but it's perfect. The characters are all very good too. I can't think of a single bad-written character. Some might say that Aqua is too edgy, but I don't think that that is it. He's just really traumatised, but he's not a bad guy either. I've said that Kana doesn't interest me too much, but her character is fine to be honest. The opening and ending were unskippable. I don't really ever skip the opening anyway, but it fits sooo good. The ending song was also really awesome, but I also loved the visuals of the ending, it looked great. I usually just tab out at the ending of anime and just listen to the ending song in the background while reading the comments, but here I ALWAYS watched the entire ending. Oh, B-Komachi songs exist too. | 9 | TV | 11
