- I don't know, this is pretty dumb and I really want to give this a 6 but I really did find that last episode quite interesting and fun
- Main maid dreams of becoming a maid, turns out maids are in gang war type turfs. She goes through killing, gambling, illegal boxing. They go through maid training and host maid happy birthdays. - Main maid loses friend after another maid of rival gang comes back from prison and declares war on their cafe. She realizes she has ninja powers but she doesn't want to kill. The rival gang joins us and gets swallowed and everyone plays baseball. Then they all go out in a maid fair where they win when they were supposed to follow the pecking order so they declare war onto their cafe and everyone gets hurt or dies lol. - they are the pig cafe. The main maid, gyaru (whatever thats called) maid, good at being a maid maid, new beginner older maid who is very good at killing, russian maid they picked up from boxing and a panda and manager. - The manager is sooooo useless. All their problems come from her. - Behind the scenes plot is that the strong girl used to be a maid and witnessed a her sensei maid get assassinated. She was killed by the panda maid hired by a man who has a crush on killing maid hired by the maid's best friend sister. now the sister is the head of all the animal maid clans. - The first episode is pretty great when the killing girl starts killing everyone lol - There are funny bits randomly splattered but the main maid is kinda annoying initally - Was surprised when they killed the killing maid. - The last episode to stem from the final attack, the main maid tries hard to act out a maid service and while dancing gets shot, its pretty fun. - and she ends up in a wheel chair - I just don't think the characters are interesting enough for me to love this anime or feel committed and feel the stakes of watching it. - It does have charm for sure, but its not like maids as gangsters is such a novelty it can carry that far - main girl and her sister relationship with the blue hair is by far the big turning point in the anime - oh the ramen guy sensei dies lol - manager should have died holy shit... |

Bocchi the Rock!
- Alright s2, let's go
- I know they are 2 different shows but I can't rate this higher then K-on, My stubborn boomer is starting to show - Its fun to compare though, this show has better music, is funnier, kind of easier to binge with more plot that moves faster. It has great characters but it makes me respect K-on characters even more which all have a 1 dimensional moe aspect but all feel more dimensional then the stereotypes in this show. - The floor and overall ceiling of this show is better higher then K-on, but K-on's peak is one of those you have to go through the whole journey to get to that peak. Maybe if this series is longer and I'm with everyone for a very long time my stubborn self will crumble. - NEET/Loser girl who teaches herself guitar with no friends accidentally ends up in a band. A lot of the show has to do with her getting through confidence - Makes watching lives kinda awkward, you do expect it to go well in away but at the same time there's always a small fear it could go badly. - Characters include Bocchi, pink hair guitar god loser, red hair Kita who is a normie extrovert and doesn't know how to play guitar but loves, Ryou,the bassist who doesn't do much thinking and loves music too much and is a chosen loner, and Nijika the drummer who is the leader and brings people together. - The Live House includes Nijika's older sister and mystery girl assistant who are friends with a drunk bassist. The band has 2 fans from a street performance. Bocchi has a dog, 2 parents and a small sister who is too innocent. Sick Hack, drunk girl's band also exist. - Math rock influences? - Bocchi is the main star of the show, you have to at least relate to some of her lonely feelings. Of course its exaggerated but I don't really know if you find Bocchi gross you can enjoy this show no disrespect - Some bonkers animation for a show that isn't really about anything except a band. Like really impressive honestly. |

- spoiled princess racing gets called a Norma (a person who can't use light of mana powers)-> sent to Norma jail where she has to fight Dragons -> causes the death of her squadron and 2 newbies -> meets her bf and her maid comes and they get tricked into saving princess' sister (Hilda arc there too) -> Jailed for deserting -> mega attacked by dragons and we meet dragon princess and find out the dragons are humans -> God decides to destroy everything and they attack jail -> princess escapes into the other world dragon dimension -> befriends princess -> come back to more drama with prison boss in submarine with realizing 3 have become traitors -> captured by god to be his wife -> big war -> rescue in solo dimension world -> settle in the dragon world, leaving old world in chaos. Prison leader dies too.
- some major cheese character development. Mainly ange and hilda - Ange is spoiled into selfish, into alone, into trusting and in love - Hilda is arrogant, sad her leader died (who is pretty cool missing eye), standoffish, alone, then in love with Ange -they get one kiss, doki - Maid is a great side character. I love hilda too. - Prison Leader and her pupil are major never growing antagonists parallels. Prison Leader is most tragic. Secret love to boy's dad and raped but still in love with God - Ecchi actually works, it made me laughed - Sexpoitation sexual assault stuff - I honestly like the earlier half more then the second half, which seems controversial. When I had more questions about the world I was more interested in learning about it. - Also, feel like dragon princess wasn't really developed properly? Her destiny with Ange didn't feel explored enough - Also second half side characters were rushed. Why do I relate more to the 1/2 episode girls who died over the any of the new sides - Submarine also not as developed as the jail in terms of space, or design. - Dragon girl who is carefree, older sister pink hair, 2 of hilda's friends, old shopping lady, doctor, boys parents, princess family + traitor dragon lady, priest dragon, initial rival princess who allows her to escape -iunno, it was super easy to binge, and its hard to say why for sure. I do think everything is just remotely fun even though I don't love anything. Would be a 9 honestly but the second arc was just less entertaining, and I felt left hanging, I only really liked Jill's second half. - singing powers lol - theme songs are fun, I think they actually hype up the mysteries, might even be the reason why the mysteries get hyped cause your like I want to meet these people |

Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha
- Biepisodic? Every 2 episodes is one plot. My favorite arc is the first arc, where Hei connects with his neighbor who is a doll. It sucks that all the arcs after are not as good.
- Other arcs doctor and his fire daughter, MI6 introduction + other bloody serial killer contractor running, Mao arc with comedy detectives in old people possession home, Policewomen's gangster friend and bloody contractor bodyguard, Hei going to the research facility, Yin's piano life fighting observer spirit and voice contractors, Amber as terrorist introduction + Explosion boy and Ice MI6 fight, Yakuza running with a doll, Old Man detective and his old fling now in a cult (2nd best arc), Teleporter Girl abducts scientist into all organizations colliding, End Arc of 3 eps -Wow, what an ending. Cause I really did not like the main plot of this show much, but the ending still got to me. - its the combination of amber being selfish, a possibility of her redoing everything over and over again, seeing everyone die and the 3rd path cliche, to the policewoman and Hei never gonna get it. Even Hei being human is fun, though his sisters abilities make no sense. Also a sort of fated dystopian future, kind of asks the question how many times people do pick a path of fated dystopia? - Main characters are the main group (Hei, Yin, Cat and Old Man), The Police (Police woman and her 2 lackeys, 2 other smaller lackeys, the constellation observer area, MI6 contractors, dad and police boss) and Primose Rose (Amber, Hei's sister, sonic booms, little kid with explosions, blood guy, naked women) - My thing is that I don't think the world of this is that interesting, and it doesn't help that while there are many mysteries, its pretty obvious none are gonna get answered. These characters are interesting enough without the world and I feel some of the characters get lost without the world? Still, I'm not hating the world, its cool, I just wish it didn't sacrifice some building by just being mysterious and dropping it. - Example Yin and Hei have the best relationship in this show, but its so murky and mostly implied, none of it is really developed. The only development is oh, its mysterious. But where does Hei's hate come from? Its super historical and its not very visceral in front of you. They don't really go out and do things together or have moments with each other besides in that one big arc. - Maybe I'm just salty cause Yin is my favorite character, and shes not just a dead loli but thats how she's used. - I think for the contractors, their price/contract is so much more interesting then their powers, but we don't get to see too much of the price. The contractors who are the coolest are all the ones whose price actually sacrifices something and is a real price. IE Both the aging cult leader and getting younger Amber - Still the world as an abstract plot device does not annoy me, I don't mind having questions in the end that are deemed to not be answered. I would have at least liked to see how all these 4 characters became a team, how they all met, cause even though they all start cold against each other, it does seem they start off with different close relationships and we aren't ever given who is closer or not in the beginning or why. - Despite all my complaints, the arcs are heartfelt enough and I felt all the split and struggle of all the characters in the show fucked and thrown into this dystopia world which of course is a mirror to ours. - I think I like this less after the sequels.....I trust some of the direction in this series I liked a lot less. |

- Basically shows Hei and Yin at a resort and they fight an illusion contractor who is part of Amber's group who has a little secret family of contractors who Yin kills after activating. - Lots of Yin crying about how much she loves Hei - Also there was a HK gang that had a pretty hot sister cause she had to take off her clothes for her power - But like, when does Yin actually fall in love with Hei? - The age gap is just loli bait, no? - I also like Yin not because of this shipping so its not really my thing - More confusion about what dolls are tbh... |

Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini
- I really started out liking this but damn, this isn't very good. The ending really sucked compared to s1.
- Might have been theme song biased. First time heard a song as a theme song that I listened to before casually - At first I thought people didn't like this show because Hei and Yin fans are betrayed, but naah, this show has some really annoying stuff to it. - It's weird though, the show understands some stuff, but seems to also not understand other things. Yin is my favorite character and I think Suou seriously isn't the worst successor for Yin. They do some learning and some lessons that I enjoyed, but yet the show goes even harder into the loli bait shit that it becomes weird. - I mean, its hard to avoid when you literally have a main villain who is a loli, and Suou falls in love with Hei? - Why did Suou have a magic girl gun transformation scene? - Maybe it tried to do some identity stuff, i don't know with the trans themes too. It was executed pretty poorly anyways. - But I did like the themes of the start, the idea of a exhausted Hei, Mao and July as a new crew, Killing the storm contractor in the first episode. The beginning had a fun tone for me that continued this dystopian hard hitting world without much answers. - Suou witnesses her friend become a contractor and her family dies, she runs and gets captured by older drunk Hei. Somehow Hei loses his powers and it goes to Suou? Something like Yin can do that I don't get it. Mao and July join their escape to Japan and Hei trains Suou to fight. Then they head to Tokyo after Hei realizes Yin is a main target to destroy. The ending is just trying to prevent Suou's brother and Yin from meeting cause it will cause a disaster - the ending basically reveals Suou is a product of her brother's power and she died a while before already. The brothers bargain is to send Suou and July into another world so they don't have to suffer. quite a cop out for sure. - its bad because the weight of sacrifice isn't really well put. Who sacrifices here and for what reason? Suou's brother's plan makes no sense and Hei just goes away with Yin? What does that even mean. Amber's time stuff was way more weighty. - even the policewomen had a weird obsession with Hei that felt so fractured honestly. |

Also little sister - Basically, your just waiting for the "fucked up girls" because they are cute but also the cute chemistry between the two main characters. Its a very shallow anime but its fun as hell. -author apparently gave up on finishing this LN |

- 3 friends, one is the leader of the Dollars, one is the slasher and one is the lead of the Yellow. In the first arc, its a 10 episode long build up of the world into the Doctors doing weird experiments with Celty cause she's a Dullahan. 2nd arc ends up reveal of slasher into all 3 of them thinking each other's organizations are evil but of course they all come together and are fine. Kida runs away with his crippled but not girlfriend.
- Undoubtedly some of the best character designs in anime, but that doesn't entirely mean that the characters are good at all. - For a cast so full and large, nothing happens in this anime - Super slow - I think this anime has like 5/25 episodes that I actually enjoyed - There are no stakes in this anime, all the mystery is revealed with way more foreshadowing so the reveal never matters. None of the characters really matter cause the all have one cool trait and it feels that is all that matters. - Kida actually has struggle, he's literally the only character. - Shizuo is fun, Izaya is annoying, Celty is only fun in her relationships with other characters, Dotachin ends up being the cool guy. - Dollars and colors isn't that terrible and I like the concept, but too much of it is revealed so early and nothing "new" gets unfolded... -Basically, it never really feels like anything happened in this anime, and for something that's 24 episodes, I can't see how that is a good thing. -Why is every song that's not an opening elevator music? -A World that seems big? But it isn't at all...These people only walk in like 3 places at most. Would be much better if it was influenced by video games such as Persona or Yakuza in how to actually have different locations need to be revisited. Would make the world expand and more interesting to journey through. -shizuo and Celty have an underrated relationship |

- Ah, DRRR! is truly better as a short
- 2 eps about aliens and why they aren't aliens and shizuo and Izaya battle scene with Izaya's twin middle school sisters - These just work better cause they are more ridiculous. Aliens are great cause it starts with a weird thing and explains how everyone interprets it to how it actually happened. I thought DRRR would be more like this tbh. Its still slow though - Second episode is just for anyone who wants to watch a sick Izaya vs Shizuo battle. Fun and ridiculous. |

- This season doesn't even use most of the characters I like (Dotachin, Russian Girl...) -A lot of the subplots feel really rushed... - Why didn't they just spread out some of the development that is forced onto some characters into the earlier seasons? I will never know.. - But Thank God I'm done with this crap, really, nothing happens in this show at all.... -THIS SHOW ISNT EVEN BRAVE ENOUGH TO KILL ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS HOLY SHIT... -cowardly. |

(he fucks up gangs with a group of ditched people, and has backstory with doctor of doctor getting stabbed) -Whether this holds up, the dumb filler I did enjoy in this episode and thats how I initially feel. - Oh yeah, Dotachin gets hit by a car and Shizuo is arrested. -Izaya is stabbed in the beginning -kida wants to bring down the dollars |

- short hair, boss tall and supermodel want to join an anime club and bump into one another. There they decide to create their own club called film club due to the supermodel being banned from anime. Some other side characters are the student council, the teacher advisor, the fruit dan dan noodle seller and the sound person. Other side workers are the art club.
-supermodel really just wants to be an animator, not that into anime - short girl creates stories and complex world tool designs - tall girl is a manager - first anime is a machete girl against tank, second is a robot versus lobster, and third is a kappa ufo against the town - Style wise very amazing. Also fun to see them talk about anime techniques and notice if they are actually used in the anime. - Great stuff to learn just in how to create, I feel even in editing normal Youtube videos theres a lot of tips to get from here that are interesting. - Way more energetic and fun. Not comfy at all - A little slow. - I personally feel its a little lazy on characters and character relationships. Its just, not that different from being a 50% infodump of just a love for anime. That's fine, but personally I wish it went 70/80% self indulgent then. 50% feels too much like its trying to sneak it in while remaining a normal anime. - In the end, I think its sneaky ambitious which is really cool. |

- First arc is the best. - Show runs on Chidori and Sagara's chemistry, not all the plot arcs have any of it - Where are my stakes? Things happen like the Whispers, The Lamda Driver, Gauron but why? I have no idea - There are some bizarre montage choices especially at the end. - Pacing is alright since there are 4 different stories, but they don't really feel connected to one another - It sucks the best stuff happens first cause the anime just feels like it goes downhill as you progress and gets less interesting - Mao is hot |

- Second arc is French guy getting Sousuke saved and attacking to save Chidori. - Love that ending, Sousuke goodbye and then SAVE ME from Chidori. Powerful shit. - Wraith is hot. - Kalinin went bad guy. I called it. - Its good, but its like not special in the end. I think the issue is there isn't much stakes in some of these decisions and battles they do. A battle happens, no stake cause its just a repeat. -Not much Chidori till the end. really made the battle arc a little weak imo. But red hair girl was a good replacement in the beginning. |

- OKAY, I want to start with the bad first. - Let's be real, the first arc was just FMP s1. Nothing special, some fun stuff, but nothing great. - 2nd arc was interesting, some really dark psychological stuff - Hong Kong was beautiful. Like no, Beautiful in a way I could recognize - Its a good show, but seriously, some of that Chidori power was I LOVE IT, but stupid as shit. - TRUE FEELS: ITS A GOOD FUCKING BASIC SHIT.....but im not searching for basic shit anymore... - Chidori is really the greatest character ever though |

The world they built feels exactly like ours but has giant robots, that feels unbelievable and just doesn't work. You also feel claustrophobic because of it, like you only have a very limited scope of the series despite how long it is. |

- Victoria and Kujo meet where they go on a boat, all of the boat ppl were related to an old incident to kill each other to survive and that ties into some occult stuff -Victoria goes to her hometown and Kujo joins her and you learn about how her mom was ostracized from the town - Kujo goes to town and gets mingled with the brother's backstory and how he has a gf and why his hair is weird - Alchemist with Queen backstory and Alchemist is a black slave - Father takes Victoria and Kujo goes saves her, theres drama from Brian Roscoe the magician and Victoria's mother. The there's a train incident where you really get close to the science world You also learn Victoria mom and Brian Roscoe as children and how mom was raped - A play for the King who kills his queen but it turns out the maid sacrificed herself to keep the queen safe..kinda messy but interesting still - ending is just kujo and victoria are split up by war and victoria is saved by her mom and there are two Brian roscoes and then Kujo and victoria meet and happy days - characters to miss, science head boss, dad, mom, two brians, blonde rich girl who likes Kujo, brother, 2 teachers who are friends, brothers married crush and kid who is a orphan and rascal - bunny occult rebellion - starts off strong but the middle is hard to get through. I thik the alchemist arc and the boat arc is good. the king arc is interesting too. - The problem is Kujo. He sucks. he doesn't grow and he's incredibly annoying and when he's trying to save Victoria and there's no backstory, those arcs becomes absolutely unfucking unbearable - the ending feels so rushed and doesnt feel like either character really did anything to get this happy end? maybe thats the point though cause they were protected by ppl who loved them but I just think the other characters weren't really given that much love for the whole show so thats why it feels awkward. -the queen, king and alchemist story is definitely a sexy twist and Victoria's mom really got it bad, I feel for her. |

- pretty fucking badass, simplified - one of the greatest cyber heist films I've enjoyed - such beautiful animation. its kind of not cyberpunk but its there, the modern late 80s Japan is extremely beautiful. I love the scenes of the "Japanese slums?" - the side characters are still the side characters, but they get enough intense screen time they feel fun to follow. - I don't really think I understand a lot of the software details, buts its fun enough to follow. - I see a lot of Ghost in the shell tv show influence - Feels like all the OVA episodes might have been better if they were movies. The pacing in this film felt really good while the OVAs feel shallow sometimes. |

Its a bunch of back and forth of our own people or the enemy is the enemy. - I also do not love some of the main characters, I do think the plot twists get me to some feelings that I was shocked and felt - Parody of a parody of also parodying whether parodies have meanings and if they don't parodying the question of parodies meanings - Hmm, characters huh, 2 mains (pilot and captain), 3 captain driver girls - all older (pilots first love, ruriruri cold, falls in love but loses her love) 1rst friend pilot who dies in ep 3, mechanic, big buff guy and older money guy who I think bought the ship? chef, scientist who is actually girl who Akito saved, 3 extra pilots after first pilot dies, military people like captains dad, military man who fought against the Mars war at first, owner of military and his assistant who crushes on pilot, Jovian pilot and little sister - both deaths are pretty big - Akito is annoying to me, and so is the captain, shrug - sci fi word vomit blah blah blah. I know shows get loved for their science fiction truth, but why word vomit so its makes it harder to understand? - I do really like Megumi. - What was that ending? They just disappeared because of love? |

- watched throughout almost a year so my memory of the plot isn't great - Amuro's place gets taken over and they are refugees on the White Ship but Amuro activates gundam and becomes military -> Amuro meets his general waifu -> in enemy territory and kills prince and fiance comes for revenge -> Amuro runs away? -> General Waifu dies -> Earth -> Neutral Planet -> Sayla Arc -> Last Battle on Military Base - Mechas are Gundam, Green Dudes, Guntank, Gun Cannon, Blue Thunder, Some Water Gundmans, Purple dudes and Legless Final Boss - Superpowers in last arc with Sayla. - Side characters, annoying leader, Mirai the sidekick, Franbow the legs, 3 kids, Sayla, Fat Boy who dies, Short Hayato and Sneaky Man - Amuro is like worse then Shinji in annoying cringe emo, jesus - All of Amuro's crushes die - Not enough technology - too repetitive, Half the show is just ships shooting at each other and exploding - the plot is there, but the episodes are just boiled down to guns shooting, Gundam kills everything, Char tries to take Gundam down and fails - Enemies are Char, King, 3 Children and Thunder Husband and Wife - At least the show follows the rules set by the world - a ton of soul but no heart or a ton of heart and no soul, haven't decided which one - Lots of respect for the world, the mecha and the designs, but something about the repetition is just lazy. |

- Solid as hell, everything is done with so much intention. I love all the details in the animation. One of my favorites is the sound battle between the diva and the main character as both have songs that get louder and softer during the fight. - Colorful, bombastic and ridiculous. - My only issue is the lack of risk, ie no one dies even though probably someone should have and when a sacfirice happens they have best friend to come in and make it easy to recover. Everything is a little too intentional so big emotional moments don't matter as much as the overcheese it so you can just move on from them thinking its style. To me, that's actually less style and a little closer to being lazy but its a nitpick. - Pink Diva and main rival has some holy shit hot outfits especialyl when they are not wearing the God clothes/life fibers - Unfortunately, the main character is a little too one dimensional. I'd like to see her learn more or mature, but really all she did was get more stubborn and become more correct in her ways - The main rival had to learn from her despite them being sisters, so one became the villain in this initial relationship, I wouldn't have prefered it to be a little more equal of a relationship -But this truly is a fun anime. Its important though to remember that the detailed innovative styled animation is what carries it greatly. |

Black hair girl wants to rejoin Lycorois but they do too many daily life chores and after being completely rejected when they visit the headquarters, she accepts that this is her life. - Find out pink hair girl has a heart defect and was given a new heart by another org. Majima was blind during a terrorist attack and was attacked by pink hair. He also was given eyes from the org. They were given these tools to kills. Pink hair girl really respects guy who gave her a new heart but they are sad she doesn't want to fight. Finally Majima attacks same terrorist attack, while guy destroys her heart and big battle as Majima tries to reveal Lycorois. They manage to get pink hair's heart and she runs away only to be found by black hair. - Hackers are characters. One is robot, one is a small moe girl who is walnut. Then older lady who always wants a man and big black man who is gay but the ex leader and not actually crippled. - Lycorois also has a leader and a rival team. that rival team is rivals with pink hair girl, black hair girl and a girl who was saved by them - There is a boy Lycorois team that apparently has history with pink hair - I do like the whole pink hair save black hair but really its black hair who does the whole saving in the end - Everything else is pretty dumb, the action is fun though cause pink hair does dodge bullets like a pro - But the drama is not interesting and I think its cause the characters just lack a little bit of oompf, this is why I wish there was some nuance into their opinions - I also don't think the stakes were that high, maybe its cause we all think Lycorois is wrong too? And we all agree with Majima? Then why did black panther have better stakes then this lol - Oh claris S still exists huh |

- mc meets minmay while doing stunts for Macross flight date for his sempai. Macross is a ship that crashed on Earth they rebuilt to fly. MC accidentally enters military plane and realizes they are fighting giants. Then he saves Minmay and they are trapped in Macross when Macross teleports accidentally to Pluto. Minmay and mc have intimate love syndrome but get discovered. During journey, the civilians create a city, Minmay convinces mc to join the military. Minmay wins a competition and starts getting super popular and too popular for mc's military hard life. mc argues with commander a lot but rises in ranks and gets 2 underlings. When mc makes commander feel guilty, she goes and does a mission and they all get captured by the giants and teleported to their main base and learn a bunch about them and their lack of culture, they go to Mars for mini commander old lover arc, go to earth and Minmay's cousin joins ship and starts taking her away. Earth doesn't want Macross' civilians especially after Macross unleashes a forcefield that destroys everything and kills and underling. Macross goes back to Earth. Spies and Ace Pilot become small to enter Macross and spread culture back so giants military becomes a mess. Commander goes back to Earth to convince for a truce but her dad drama and it doesnt work. Giants give up but know the main military will kill them all so they all fight. The main military destroys earth and mc flies commander to safety - Then it ends with with 8 episodes where Minmay and her cousin get into drama and the commander keeps trying to chase after mc but mc keeps thinking about Minmay. In the end, Minmay tries to quit music and end up with mc but mc can't stop fighting in the military. - Mc is incredibly annoying, never makes decisions and is always letting girls chase him. - Its is pretty funny when they use song to destroy the giants and Minmay is singing about how much women hate war because their husbands die and she stands at the helm - the villains are really funny honestly. Their shock of culture and when they finally "Get culture". Smoking cigarettes = good culture. Main bad guy and bad girl giant do more culture as a euphemism for kissing. - Look, the music is good and catchy, but that boyfriend is a pilot song.....get me out of that foon foon foon beginning lol. - I really would like this more if the relationships between the girls and guy were developed a little more. Or why they fell in love with each other was explained more. Or if the mc did some committing. - Its why I really liked the first part and liked the second part less. The mc was confused why Minmay acted so differently then when it was just them 2. and seeing mc not getting the emotional support he needed when he was trying to become military explained wrong girl wrong time well. Then he and commander relate and share through their frenemies. But it sorta fades away and it becomes more of a we just missed each other! Someone just makes the wrong decision! Which is always the more annoying type of cliche romance drama - I really started this series thinking I would love this cause the direction felt mature and clear, but it kinda became cheesy and weird - weird in, it really has some sexist and imperialist stereotypes. But also women who lose husbands is a good thing? Plus the cousin's anti-war rhetoric is annoying cause he's definitely all talk and no fight wrong. Not very nuanced. - But honestly, this is a very cheesy show and very simple show. Compared to a lot of the other mecha animes, this feels a lot less complicated. Easier to binge though |

Yellow hair explains magical girls, witches, and becomes a big role model by dies in a mission after Madoka says she wants to be a magic girl for her. This makes magic girls scary but blue hair loves a guy who can't play violin and becomes a magic girl for him. Red Hair appears wanting the place for herself and they fight a lot until they realize their souls are in their gems, their bodies are just puppets for their soul. Blue hair becomes more despaired and mean, breaks friends with Madoka and her violin bf dates another girl. She becomes a witch, red hair girl teams with Madoka and they attempt to revert blue hair's witchdom but fail with everyone dying except black and Madoka.
- I feel this is actually where the plot ends. Everything else really is an info dump - You get black hair's time travel past and explanation of her coldness. It is revealed her constant timetravel for the sake of Madoka is probably why Madoka becomes so powerful. - Madoka learns throughout entire history magic girls have been farmed into witches because they give an intense energy that can sustain civilizations. - Ending is nice in a way. I like how ambitious the film's savior and hope complex (to make a definition on humanity) is. To reach out to all the catastrophes in the world. When Madoka cried about how all these teenage girls were betrayed by their hope and wishes throughout the whole of humanity I actually felt it. - Philosophical in a way: We keep hoping but we keep failing. -Experimental styles, especially in witches worlds. The witches worlds don't happen so much though especially in the middle and end.... -There are down moments for sure. - Red hair and yellow hair are major hearts. black hair is a doofus but understandable. blue is also an edgelord but I have a soft spot. Madoka is boring but fine. The characters are nice. - Weird though because they are a little too one dimensional. - On the other hand, the plots is a little too one dimensional for something that has more complexitiy. For a show about human emotions (the cat race has no emotions so thats always juxtaposed with the humans), wish some of the development of the emotions were a little more complicated. -But maybe thats impossible cause the show understands despair as a finality. Which maybe for all those people in history that died in despair it was. thats a scary thought. But in reality, despair can get back to hope easily, but more real, despair and hope usually exist at the same time no matter what. - I like the direction and ambition. I guess I just find this show hard to feel attached to. (cause it lacks real nuance from characters, plots and thoughts) |

Like debates on what wish I want - some surprising jokes are reusued. - also debating how I feel but the series felt a little minimalist at times and I liked that. Witch scenes were super stylish juxtaposed with the blander normal city. This film went full out on animation so that minimalism feeling disappeared. |

However, its obvious madoka may one day realize she needs to be somewhere else and will break the world black hair girl created.
- I had a moment where I thought I liked this film more then the series, but the beginning is just a little too boring. - the beginning had some really really good weird scenes...but I didn't care for them. That answers my question of if Madoka would be better with more weird scenes and less plot... well the answer to that is no... thats an unfortunate peak then. - what I did really like is that black hair girl was just full out a shithole. In the original madoka, it seemed black hair's actions were jusitfied, even romanticized to be sacrificial especially since Madoka gave her the thumbs up - this movie revealed what I thought all along, black hair girl is a selfish bitch and is abusing Madoka into believing her. In the series, I felt that but it felt like black hair girl was abusing an innocent Madoka and no one knew. In this film, its shown that black hair girl knows shes abusing Madoka selfishly, and Madoka has some big fault in letting herself get abused honestly. -wouldn't be surprised if its better on rewatch |

After that straydog beats up a matchfix and coach has to apologize to get a plan to go to the greatest boxing match and a fake ID. They need gear to fight, and meet a boy who is knowledgeable about gear but they decide to go gearless. Joe fights a psycho, 2 skipped fights, an old vet who loves the coach, big company brother, big strong havey lion ranked 3rd that was more of a matchfix arc and finally the final gearless fight from both sides. - Some side plots, kid is the son of a creator of Yuri's gear which gets stolen by hot girl's company. Hot girl is trying to sell her tech to the military using the boxing. Hot girl and brother do not get along. Coach is hiding truths all the time from Joe. - I think the sound design is quite good. - I also think the fights get noticeabley worse and time goes on. Like there isn't that much creativity with the gear or the fights either. The one creative stuff is brother having gear that moves the body because its AI. -Also character development is garbage here. - I don't know why they skipped fights though. - Its just get hyped for a fight, a character with a backstory makes things hard, then they get into the ring. Theres no rhyme or reason by the end. - Stylistically/thematical still cool. But the world isn't built as much either so its not like it feels that cyberpunk esp since joe is gearless anyways. - Yuri fight is kinda trash lol. it is hype he took his gear off though |

- The animation is creative, the direction is creative and the surrealism has some really clever stuff especially the last train - The boy is just too whiney and unfun, it gets boring. The movie almost doesn't seem to grow throughout despite all the lessons he could be learning? - The direction is clear though and very thoughout. Its relatable too and its realistic in a way. I think there were identity crisis' through the film, where its trying to have emotional parts without a growth in characters. -Hard to say, this might have been the director's smartest film, but it just felt some of the building blocks might have been a little lazy in order to get the smart shit out. |

The policeman is also murdered Episode 5: Rin comes back after many years and Clone's son and granddaughter realize there are 2 Rins. One Rin is actually cyborg who has been hunting immortals. One Rin is the real Rin that's lost their memories completely. They fight, she remembers her memories and is about to come back and meet all the immortals gathered with short immortal girl and they all get attacked with angels. Apos comes and takes Rin's ball by revealing he has boobs and is the guardian (an immortal angel) - Rin in castle and granddaugther with white hair are looking for her with Rin becoming the new guardian and giving birth. Infodump includes: Old guardian and Rin's history, what the orbs are and the tree. - For a pretty short anime, I'm quite impressed with how much it covered. - Its fun, and I'm into porn, so the gore porn, borderline rape scenes, masochist/sadoism never felt it was too much. - OP And ending songs are sick - Time skips in each episode were really cool, it allowed the show to go a little cyberpunk even. - I think even though the world was never extremely developed in any of the episodes, the character's circle felt fleshed out. Despite time moving, there were always replacements who made their circle feel comfy and consistent. - I feel though, this is why this type of seinen stuff is probably better in manga then in anime. No matter what, animated sex is always cheesy while on manga, you get the imagination to fill out the sounds, movements etc -vodka is water - lots of female, egg, sperm and sex metaphors |

Chief explains to Joe, he is the one who gave him hope and gave immigrants hope as an underdog and this shows Joe he has some meaning. Chief wins but dies and Joe decides to go home where you find out he ran away from home cause he couldn't deal with coach's death and wanted to use boxing to escape. He ditched an orphanage and the kids. The kids are not happy he's back but he continues to stay despite multiple rejections from them. In the boxing world, promising student Liu gets destroyed by Mac who uses gear that takes over his brain. There's drama about Mac's gear and Joe and him fight and Joe loses becaues the goal is to make Joe come home and not escape into boxing. - Home, huh? - A hummingbird guides you home parable. - It is cool to see a hero start a new season as a wreck, it always gets me. This is the rare salvation path ones I've seen despite it should be more cliche. - Still not so much world - Shirato loses her job as president, you can't help but want to ship her with the common people XD - Her brother is also a professor now teaching why reckless gears are bad Haaa - I still think knowing exactly "what war" is wrecking these places would be interesting too. |

-Not that edgy. Shinji is barely annoying really. Rei and Asuka aren't even really fleshed out characters. - The middle is filled with episodic world building, interesting but dated. Angel of the week stuff. - Which the show was a little more balanced out structurally -Weird edits from begginning and from end were really fun. -stop viewing the world in binaries and you are good. - I just don't understand why people who watch this think this is way more unique then any other anime they've seen. May have started all the cliches, but it definitely didn't transcend them. - Maybe there is some more nuance in this then I give it credit but I really think its funny how big of a revelation some of these "I have my own identity" "There are identities I don't like about me" "People morph my identity and that is okay too" are such large moments - One stylistic choice to note is the way life threatening issues happen daily but are always fixed in extremely nonchalant ways. The adult's motivations are just explained without development. It makes the plot move forward but you don't feel any investment into it. Therefore, you don't get the post-apocalyptic atmosphere at all. Its one of the reasons I dont think this film is really that edgy. Life and death is only really a theme at first and with Shinji only in particular when everyone should feel some of it. Basically, why does no one nuancely think besides Shinji and it has a lot to do with style spending so much time with Shinji and skipping everyone else like they don't do any thinking. |

- extremely fucking pretty - violet is a doll warrior who loses the one person she relies on in war. Now it is post-war, she has to learn to write letters in order to find out what it means to be human. Her general said I love you before he dies and Violet wants to figure out what those words mean. - for a world so big and imaginative, this anime does little to explore it - I wish violet was a mail carrier, would have pushed the plot forward a little more - all SOL episodes of Violet writing for different families are quite good - However, all plot episodes are terrible. The backstory is lame and hinders the worldbuilding completely. This is supposed to be a semi steam punk world that gets erased by some needless and lazy war/doll/human writing - 1. Writer and his daughter -> umbrella in the lake and 2.mom writing to her daughter for 50 years after she died on birthday was the best episodes. - beginning is slow especially since Violet has no brain ->some good episodes of SOL -> more braindead plot/backstory writing....its just really lazy -Very tragic the show doesn't understand its strengths but instead dedicates most of its time to its weakness - What are the point of a lot of these wasted potential side characters? |

Just a little under the best episodes in the series. - This proves that Evergarden is lacking energy and the show would be so much better. Taylor has so much chemistry with the setting, jobs, world and characters but Evergarden refuses to make any of their characters provide any energy to the show. - This causes the show to literally always be melodrama 24/7. Taylor gave it that energy punch needed, it makes the characters move and actually changes atmosphere so it doesnt have to be one thing for the entire show. |

- Apparently this type of back and forth talking is novel talking, not Bakemongatari talking I learned now. - Like this way more on 2nd watch. - Its not that I hate the rom com cliches, I just don't really know if the themes of this show are best portrayed through - Rewatch: still feel this way, I don't get what the point is of lots of the side characters and while they can be funny and are inoffensive, they relatively feel unimportant. Makes stakes not so intense. - And the genre doesn't make sense. Why do these themes parody weeby romantic comedies? It doesn't feel like it needed to have this parody vibe to it. - I also feel this show is parallel porn, but its a little hard to see what the parallels are through its side characters. - Apparently some characters get the short end of the stick, I'm curious about reading the novel for sure. - Initial eps are all side character intros. - Hikky gets forced to join a club by teacher where he and Yukinon "serve?" people, orange girl joins with a request to make chocolates but she's a bad cook. First tension between Hikky and Yukinon on "overcoming" weakness and "celebrating" weakness despite both of their personalities causing them to be loners. - Next, we meet orange girls' old clique. Then we meet chuunbiyou guy who thinks he's part of older legacy history. Hikky was a chuunbiyou before too but not really brought up. They read a "trash" story. - Tennis bishoujo boy who Hikky falls "in love with" - Hayato arc when he asks to make his friends closer and Hikky realizes these friends are all fake and more friends with Hayato, not each other. Obsessed with yaoi girl is also introduced here. - Yakuza white hair girl and also sister introduction. Sister tell and her friend ask to find out why yakuza girl always coming home so late and she's working at a bar cause shes poor and wants to go to uni. - Find out orange hair girl dog was saved by main character and Hikky confronts which make orange girl disappear. They try to buy stuff for her birthday and meet Yukino's older sister. Orange hair girl's dog bumps into them at the mall and thinks they are dating but after talking she realizes she will join the club again. Yukino says that its time to "start anew" - Summer camp with elementary kids arc. Loner girl no one can help so Hikky decides to scare all the bullies and ruin the entire structure of the group. This allows loner girl to no longer be bullied. - fireworks festival with orange hair, meet Yukinon's sister and promises of saving Yukinon - Hikky finds out the Yukinon's car hit him from the sister, he can't help but feel Yukinon lied to him. This makes their relationship strained. - Hikky gets volunteered to manage the school festival and Yukinon is of course there. However, another girl in Hikky's class wants to be the leader. She feels insecure though due to Yukinon's competence and gets moody. Yukino takes all responsibilities in the end with not enough help. While the counsel is fragmented, Hikky makes himself as the enemy and they get the work done because he is the enemy. - at closing, president is gone so Hikky has to find her and he guilts her into doing the closing ceremony. this is the first time ppl share how much they don't like how he hurts himself to get things done. - Yukinon seems to really like Hikky after all his help and self sacrifice during this time. - Then there is a sports event. - Other characters: Hayato's and his clique- blonde mean girl, girl into shipping gays, active orange hair guy seems important. school festival sempai - I am a sucker for characters who solve things in self sacrificial ways and in ways that are different from others so thats very fun. - The issue is, I'm not that into any of the characters? - Rewatch statement: I like Hikky and I like his banter with Yukinon and orange hair is good. And its not the side characters are bad, its more its hard to understand their point. The only side characters that are interesting now are Hayato's group but thats cause of S2. - But Hayato himself is top tier as a contrast to Hikky. He's not just a contrast too, he has his own struggles and contradictions so different parts of him contrast with Hikky at different times, its quite fun. - Also, while the sacrifice makes sense at times, it also doesn't make much sense at times. I don't hate the ideas in the show, "don't just pretend to like people to grow up and fit into society", but I don't get how it helps people to be mean sometimes lol - Plus, I don't really understand why the two main girls fall in love with him. Not enough good vibe moments like that. Hear the novel has more of those - Rewatch: Nah, there are some cute moments. - Also Hikky and Yukinon's banter is top tier, its hard to know until you lose it in S2. The thing that makes their banter fun is that its half serious and half just insults and banter. - But on rewatch, you really do see the way they have contrasting opinions and why they both view their world differently and still get along. - Change yourself or change the world. None of this stuff is straightforward though so there's contraditions everywhere, which is really just reality of having "identites, belifes and ideals" |

- hmmm, in the end, I'm not sold on the romantic love comedy aspect of this show
- Yukino decides to move to her family's house and there's a bit of a sister and gangster girl arc (where its revealed the gangster girl had an interaction with Hikky during the culture festival) - Ishiki wants to do a prom and asks for help. Yukino decides to help but doesn't want the club to help. They film a promo video that gets popular but the Parent's Association doesn't like it and sends her mom to stop it. - When prom is on the verge of being stopped, Hikky can't help Yukino so he challenges Yukino to see who can get prom to school. There's a fun scene where Ishiki is all annoyed she's hearing Hikky's confession and hints that she's annoyed Hikky developed a relationship with her but didn't acknowledge it. - Hikky's plan is to make a prom that will fail. They take pictures at a beach and promote it so the mom comes back and wants to talk to him. This allows Hikky to guilttrip her to support the prom because she hit him with a car. - Yukinon says she won the fight, so Hikky has to grant Yugi's wish. They make a good prom and Hikky completes Yugi's wishes one by one. - Hikky realizes he wants to stay connected to Yukinon so continues the sham prom so Yukinon has to help him. - Confession -> sham prom -> then Yukinon says i love you - side arcs: sister graduating, teacher is transferring school - I think its relatively disappointing "love" is what is genuine right? - Because Hikky wants something genuine with all his relationships I thought. Thats why he frowns on Hayato's crew. So why is he satisfied with just retaining his relationship with Yukinon? - I mean I guess love is the inevitable genuine thing, but if this is the case, I wish there was a little more on what is the ideal/genuine relationship between Hikky and Yugihara. - Also no side character fun anymore + no Yukinon bully really. - I also think I burnt out a little by the end. - Overall, inoffensive and Yukinon had her cuteness but I just really wanted that genuine confession that is "difficult, suffering etc", but where was it with a happy ending that felt too happy? - I enjoyed the flashback of Hikky though, it reminded me that Hikky grew up a lot too and I forget. |

Later she annouces to both Yukinon and Hikky that she isn't ready to give up - Lots of little sister and Ishiki banter, quite fun. They do have good chemistry. - I get jealousy/stealing is an ugly emotion, but I don't really know what else is genuine here besides if Yugi does this. So it fits with my expectations. - I wonder if giving up really is as easy as this instant thing cause I've definitely never experienced it. That's why I was annoyed at Hikky for just committing to Yukinon after saying this to both her and Yugihara. This lets it so that he has a genuine relationship with Yugihara too imo. Though now its all a weird romance drama. - I really was thinking of giving s3 a 6 but I decided otherwise since this OVA exists. |

- really a lot of things I started off ready to dislike, but you can't help but love Hikky's decision making in this season.
- Starts with a bang. Orange hair dude from Hayato wants to confess to gay obessed girl. As the club helps, they realize that both Hayato and the gay obsessed girl don't really want this confession cause they want to keep this group of friends where you don't have to be honest with one another. Hikky makes sure no one is hurt by confessing to yaoi obsessed giving her an opportunity to admit she doesn't really want to be in a relationship at all. - Yukinon and Yugihara get to witness first hand how Hikky has been solving things and they get in a major fight. Hikky admits he won't ever change which makes Yukinon really upset. - Introduce Ishhikki, the best underclassman, who is "Foxy?". Anyways her flirting is fun. She has a request cause her friends bullied her into running for president but she doesn't want to win. - The club, already strained, get into an argument cause Hikky wants to "self sacrifice" and give a really bad opening speech and ruin Ishikki's chances. He doesn't see how anyone else would run. - During this, Hikky meets the girl he confessed to and they meet Hayato. Hayato takes them all out on a date and defends Hikky's honor by inviting Yukinon and Yugihara because he feels guilty about their strained relationship. He feels he forced Hikky to "self sacrifice" but Hikky thinks his consequences are his alone and no one should try to be affected by it. - Yukinon chooses to run but that would ruin the club so Yugi decides to run - Hikky finally talks to his sister and they stop fighting. At her request, Hikky decides to try and keep Yukinon and Yugi in the club. He makes these fake accounts that make Ishiki think a lot of ppl are supporting her, then convinces her that it will help her get closer to Hayato. She decides to run. - Once she decides to run, Yukinon and Yugihara have no reason to run and Ishiki wins. Yuhihara suspects Yukinon might have actually wanted to be president though. - Ishiki needs help with her first event helping another schoo run a chirstmas eventl. Maybe cause of past experiences, Yukinon seems stressed about the request so Hikky tries to take it on himself saying he was the one who made Ishiki the president so he should help. - The meeting is a struggle as Ishiki is passive and takes on all activiites. The other school likes to talk and do meetings but don't like to get things done. Hikky also meets the girl he made alone during the s1 camp counselling and he thinks back whether he did the right thing. - Yukinon tells him he can leave the club. - After a talk with his teacher, Hikky tries to talk to Yukinon and Yugihara and ask for their help. They fight and Hikky starts to blabber and cry about how he wants something genuine which scares Yukinon to the roof. They talk it out after chasing her and they decide to help. - They go to disneyland to brainstorm how to hold a christmas event and Ishiki confesses to Hayato and gets rejected. - They decide to ask the other school to split up the work and the elementary school kids do a drama with Hikky's school while the other school focuses on a band. - After the success, Hikky and Yugihara shop for Yukinon's birthday present and bump into sister and Hayato. We meet the mother. - Everyone starts discussing their future plans and applications so blonde girl is worried Hayato and her will grow apart because he doesn't want to share his plans. Also the rumor of Yukinon dating Hayato becomes intense. After trying a few times and failing, Hikky races him in a marathon so its a one on one convo. Hayato says he hates Hikky and that he will do it his own way of keeping his friendships while not being "genuine". Hayato says he isn't into Yukinon and Hikky gets hurt trying to keep up with Hayato. In the hospital room it gets romantic between them. - They decide to host a Valentine's chocolate class because everyone wants to make chocolates (blonde girl, gangster girl's sister) When Hayato gets chocolates from the 2 girls, older sister says she thinks this friendship is all a facade and not genuine. Yukinon's mother shows up and seems to control Yukinon completely. - Yukinon's sister is forced to watch over her now and they fight. Yugihara suggests that Yuki stays over so she can escape home for a bit. Yugihara invites both Yuki and Hikky on a 3 person date at the aquarium and ferris wheel. Then she proposes to Yuki that they can just continue doing what they are doing and just be happy. Kinda like Hayato's group but Hikky doesn't want it. So Yukinon decides to act and be herself. Yugihara also gives Hikky chocolates while Yukinon hides her. - Its not too clear where Yukinon really falls in love with Hikky huh, I'm guessing when he helps her during the cultural festival? - I really hated the animation initially. Some ppl say its more smooth, but I think its to glimmery and too blanched and dark. - the old one feels more pure and simple - I guess thats the other thing that changed, I really missed the old simple characters in a way. - Yukinon fighting with Hikky is basically completely gone, their banter is gone. Hikky's self awareness now basically all comes from within. he doesn't bounce it off of Yukinon anymore. - And thats all very sad to lose in s2 - But Jesus, when Hikky is yelling about how he wants something genuine. I don't know. There's something about that that's soooooo cool and interesting and hits hard especially in relationship to Hayato's acceptance and love for his group. - And the last episode where Hikky wants to struggle to figure out their group even if it causes hurt and pain. - Its so good. I feel like the older I get the less I want to do it too because everyone around me is too tired for it, but I secretly also still want to struggle in every relationship. That's why it gets me. - I also think when he opens up to his sister its fantastic. - I do think when Hikky is confused, it can get a little slow and annoying cause its like EVERYTHING IS WRONG AND MAKING THE WRONG DECISIONS, but it does make the revelations so fucking good. - Ishiki is fucking fantastic though as a break and side character for Hikky's confusion arcs. Yukinon's sister can get a bit annoying but she's just jealous and lonely I think. Like where are her friends? Lol - Some minor characters, gangster girl's sister is introduced. definitely some LN reading necessary. The other school's president keeps moving his hands when he talks, it quite funny. Hikky's old crush just laughs at everything, she def a bitch lol. |
