Synopsis

Inside the human body, roughly 37.2 trillion cells work energetically 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Fresh out of training, the cheerful and somewhat airheaded Sekkekkyuu AE3803 is ready to take on the ever-so-important task of transporting oxygen. As usual, Hakkekkyuu U-1146 is hard at work patrolling and eliminating foreign bacteria seeking to make the body their new lair. Elsewhere, little platelets are lining up for a new construction project.

Dealing with wounds and allergies, getting lost on the way to the lungs, and bickering with similar cell types, the daily lives of cells are always hectic as they work together to keep the body healthy!

Inferring scientific details in an entertainment media is a tough job, more or less. You could get your stuff soggy very easily, overwhelmed with false parallels and unnecessary windups. But what makes this one worth it is that it neatly skimmed itself from going that way; it adopted the most richest of countenance, by obeying the Hippocratic oath, which is my central theme I elaborate here.

There is one running theme in this anime, that is, relentless repetition of certain behaviors; red blood cells getting confused with the circulations and white blood cells neutralizing yet another antigen, all while platelets are busy patching the pavements. This ...

Mixed Feelings
I'll admit it. I thought it was cute. I even thought it was really cool, seeing the human body functions as little characters. It would have definitely made Human Anatomy class much easier.

But that's all it is. It's cute. If you're looking for a quick watch, with a few thrilling episodes and cute friendships, this is good for you. It's fun to watch the Red Blood Cell slowly grow up and navigate her way around, and you'll learn a lot. Even the White Blood Cell has his adventures. But it isn't exactly some thrilling show.

But the platlets were so cute! I love them sm!

This show first attracted me because I thought it looked novel, and it was. For the first four episodes. After that I was really bored with this show. I couldn't sit through the show as the story repeated over and over with no effective change. The stories follow a certain format. Red Blood Cell finds either a germ, white blood cell, or a friend red blood cell and then they act afraid as the immune system fight the germs or that episode. The show failed to make me care about any of the characters. The art doesn't look back but it can be really ...
