Synopsis

Devils cannot take form without a living host. However, if the will of an individual is strong enough, they can overcome the demon and make its power their own, becoming a Devilman.

Weak and unassuming, Akira Fudou has always had a bleeding heart. So when his childhood friend Ryou Asuka asks for his help in uncovering devils, Akira accepts without hesitation. However, to Akira's surprise, the place they go to is Sabbath: an immoral party of debauchery and degeneracy. Amidst bloodshed and death, demons possess the partiers, turning their bodies into grotesque monsters, and begin wreaking havoc. In a reckless attempt to save his best friend, Akira unwittingly merges with the devil Amon and becomes a Devilman, gaining the power to defeat the remaining demons.

Though it grants him great power, this new partnership awakens an insatiable and primeval part of Akira. Having the body of a devil but the same crybaby heart, Akira works alongside Ryou, destroying those that harm humanity and his loved ones.

This is not an anime for the faint of heart. I don't think I'm strong myself, but I can handle it well, and I can say that even for the time of the original material, which was released from 1972 to 1973, then before and from that time itself the whole world did not give children the knowledge; education to become civilized people; and not even a good preparation not only academically but also personally that would make them become more HUMAN people...

As for other details besides the message it wants to convey, as I mentioned above, since it's Netflix, they must have spent a ...

Mixed Feelings
"Devilman: Crybaby" begins with promise, offering a strong introduction to its characters and the intriguing world they inhabit. However, this initial spark quickly fizzles out, as the show fails to develop its characters or expand on its world-building in any meaningful way. The plot becomes erratic, jumping from one event to another without a coherent sense of pacing.

The story's writing is disappointingly weak. The creators had an interesting concept: exploring the difficult times and flawed decisions of teenagers, exaggerated by a devilish twist. Unfortunately, this promising idea remains superficial, never delving deeper into the complexities of its themes. Instead, the show wastes precious screen time ...

What the hell did I just watch...

The story is mid, the characters couldn't even carry it. Didn't care about them one bit. All that they could show was nudeness. It feels like this was originally supposed to be a hentai but then the director decided that it should have a story and added a bunch of random demons and action into the mix. Which goes absolutely nowhere...

The art is bland and tasteless, looks like everything was drawn in a rush. It's understandable when characters are standing in a distance and everything is blurry and not detailed, but even up close shots were drawn so ...
