Synopsis

Erika Shinohara has taken to lying about her romantic exploits to earn the respect of her new friends. So when they ask for a picture of her "boyfriend," she hastily snaps a photo of a handsome stranger, whom her friends recognize as the popular and kind-hearted Kyouya Sata.

Trapped in her own web of lies and desperately trying to avoid humiliation, Erika explains her predicament to Kyouya, hoping he will pretend to be her boyfriend. But Kyouya is not the angel he appears to be: he is actually a mean-spirited sadist who forces Erika to become his "dog" in exchange for keeping her secret.

Begrudgingly accepting his deal, Erika soon begins to see glimpses of the real Kyouya beneath the multiple layers of his outer persona. As she finds herself falling for him, she can't help but question if he will ever feel the same way about her. Will Kyouya finally make an honest woman out of Erika, or is she destined to be a "wolf girl" forever?

It was a nice anime, and I loved watching it. I never once really felt frustrated watching it but felt bad for her instead. It's weird to say that I cried watching it because I could understand the emotions of the FL. The desperation of loving someone, the betrayal, the sadness, the happiness, and the toxic relationship. I could feel it and relate to it all. True the ML was a jerk sometimes but I understood his love language at the end. It kind of reminded me of Horimiya. I was really satisfied with adding kiss scenes. Some might get annoyed watching it. If ...

Mixed Feelings
Our protagonist, Erika Shinohara, lies about having a boyfriend in order to posture in front of her new high school friends. When confronted about the identity of her mystery beau, she shows them a picture of a random guy she photographed on the street. As it turns out, his name is Kyouya Sata and not only does he go to their school, but is even in the same year as them. To make matters even worse, this dude is something of a local idol. Desperate, Erika comes clean to Kyouya and pleads with him to play along. What happens next? Watch to find out.

It's a ...

Honestly, don't waste your time watching this shit. It's absolutely trash. Both the MCs are just annoying as hell. The portrayal of both the MCs is lain pathetic. Erika is shown as a girl who has no shame and is fine with constantly being verbally and emotionally abused by kyoya. You have to an absolute masochist to love this show. It's definitely not everybody's cup of tea.

They tried to show that everything Kyoya does, how he treats Erika, has a much deeper meaning behind it and he's not really the bad guy here, but at the end of the day, he's just a sadist ...

All Aboard the Ao Haru Ride!

Ao Haru Ride is your standard shoujo series, featuring a gutsier-than-average heroine, a cold male lead and lots of unspoken words between them. It pulls at your heart strings and gives you a little window into the challenges of (Japanese) teenagers in their spring of youth.
