...Probably the worst One Piece movie that's been made.

It's just a recap of the Arabasta Arc, which had an a great storyline, that would alone get definitely at least a 9, but the movie left out some great parts like Ace's appearance and Mizu Mizu Luffy. Several things were changed around and shortened (especially the crew's battles) that took away some of its excellence. It is a movie though, so I was expecting a bit to be deleted and left out, but that's why it wasn't too great of an idea to make the 8th movie a recap of an arc, especially a fairly long read more

It's very hard to rate this movie, because the work that it's based off of is of course magnificent, however the movie itself honestly doesn't serve much of a purpose.

The fact that this movie is lackluster stems from the inherent problem that it tries to condense a roughly one hundred chapter arc into about two hours. Of course this leads to a LOT of editing, so if you've never seen/read the Alabasta arc you will be confused for most of this movie. This would suggest that the movie's intended audience would be those who already have an idea of what's going on, however so much read more

A mere shadow of the godliness that is One Piece.

This is a retelling of the Arabasta arc, the final arc of the Crocodile Saga from the One Piece tv show. The arc in the show is one of my favs, scoring a rare 10/10 for me and I was expecting great things from this movie, expecting the definitive version with upgraded Animation.

I saw the relatively low score on this site and was puzzled. i soon realised upon watching, this is a train wreck of a movie that has little resemblance to the Arabasta arc.

There are two huge problems with this movie. The first, the lesser read more

Plot 6/10

Episode of Alabasta was pretty much a whole recap of the Alabasta Arc. Few short scenes added, but lots of them were cut out [where’s my goddamn mizu luffy] but mainly nothing more happened. I’d say going from scene to scene was too chaotic, you could get lost

Characters 5/10

Because of a really fast pacing they weren’t really developed, if you weren’t familiar with characters before, you could have a problem. Unfortunately, creators didn’t even spend 5 minutes for character introduction like they did in movie 6. I think that was the weak part of it. Of course, I’m judging it how a not-too-familiar-with-series person read more
