There is a ghost only one person can see. The characters need to get over the death of the ghost to move on, or find some other kind of solution like getting along with said ghost that only certain people can see. The mood is melancholic and yet interesting as it pulls one in.

Both are about people dealing with the loss of their lover and trying to move on. Both are very sweet with some touching moments and well animated. In both main female character runs a cute little shop.

Both can see ghosts, and have a similar, easygoing calm pace.

Anime about male ghost messing with female's life.

Usagi drop is a lot "nicer" (i mean its completely kid appropriate). The protagonist is a guy who has plenty of weaknesses (it makes him all the more loveable) but the lead female in usagi drop is infinitely more loveable than rokka (i mean, a little girl vs a widow. who's gonna win out on cuteness, sorry rokka <3) They both have a nice emphasis on family, a touch of that "MEANING OF LIFE" profundity, a short list of episodes, and an ability to make us burst out spontaneously in either happiness or tears. Oh and i'm told by first-impressionists that the beginning of usagi drop  read more

Natsuyuki is how Maison Ikkoku would've been, had MI's cast been presented in a less likable manner and those same characters not taken SIX YEARS to resolve their non-starting relationship issues. Maybe because of how fast the pace moves in NR, in comparison to MI's drawn out deceased lover rom-comedy, but NR's cast come across as inconsistent and (in mine eyes) are cheapened by their actions. NR's lead goes from a bumbling idiot lacking confidence to a dickish, I-don't-care-if-husband-watches playboy, and the wife doesn't take much to accept a new man, considering how much she's still in love with her dead hubby. (Plus, her short-haired look  read more

The sense of warm love and the complications around it when there are more than two involved.

These animes are similar because they both have a ghost who tries to interfere with the male protagonist relationship and cause them unhappiness.

Both of them feature parallel fairy-tale settings that have some connection to the real world. Beyond that, the themes/moods are pretty different. Natsuyuki Randevous is a romantic drama that deals with death and adult life. Flip Flappers (as this is being written, there are 8 episodes) has been a cheerful adventure with some mysteries lingering in the background. The main characters are all in school still, and working with organizations on the side.

Both have interesting and complex characters and both are of the josei genre. If you're looking for something with a little more substance than your standard slice of life or romance, either one is an excellent choice.

-the beloved is/becomes a ghost -the protagonist experiences a tragically ended love -but must overcome the tragedy in all her strength -even though their time together was like a happy fairytale.

Josei. Relaxed atmosphere. Working adults falling in love. Fune wo Amu is more niche with the main focus on the working environment and the character's ambitions and goals, while Natsuyuki Rendezvous focuses more on the character relationships. Both have strange metaphysical metaphors but FwA is more philosophical. If you enjoyed the one you will most likely enjoy the other.

Probably you're wondering, how could these seemingly distant animes (one is jaded sci-fi anime, while one is slice-of-life josei anime) have anything similar at all? My favorite is Innocence, but since it's metaphorically a pure black ground coffee (or even pure hard coffee beans), I often let my real-life friends to go watch Natsuyuki Rendezvous, since it's - compared to Innocence - a cup of caffè latte. Oshii once said in a behind-the-scene documentary, that Innocence - in a way or another - is a romantic movie, a man looking for his missing sweetheart. Rokka, left bereft of joy by Shimao-kun death, reserved her heart for  read more

Both are heart warming stories that deal with the daily lives of teenagers and an occurring traumatic event. The characters need to get over the death to move on. Here touch is more driven and characters struggle is more entertaining.

Non highschool setting romance anime , beautiful animation , relatable characters and the most important is garbage ending , I will still recommend people to watch this to anime because the starting episodes are really great and anime portraying adult relationship is very rear nowadays ,

Both are targeted towards older female audiences with a lot of dialogue in each. So it's great if you like a really deep story with excellent character development. The stories are also similar in the fact that a woman has feelings for two men.

Even though they don't have a similar plot, messages given through them seems almost same to me. We are told the concept of "protection" and "devotion" with different stories. Both will make your heart broke but warm at the same time.

First of all, if you're into a ghostly story involving comedy, drama, and a little romance, then look no further. These two titles are worth time investing into. Both series involves the theme of the supernatural involving a ghost who hangs out with the main characters during their daily lives. Both series has drama, comedy, but also emotional moments. Both series explores the idea of a spiritual being in the world of the living who has yet to move on but continues to stand by the people they care for. Natsuyuki Rendezous and Natsu no Arashi are two series that considered a rare gem that gives "ghost"  read more

Both series start off fairly innocuously, but the numerous dysfunctions in the characters and their relationships begin to wear on as the stories continue. Finally, it reaches a point where everybody is unlikable for a large number of reasons.

Both are about adults working at a job. While Natsuyuki Rendezvous is more serious and deals with a personally owned flower shop, Servant x Service is more light hearted and is about college graduates who just became civil servants.

Is similar in the sense that the protagonist falls in love with a girl who is grieving over a lost lover
report Recommended by SpaceHoliday
Both shows excel in drama: the main characters are all somehow involved in love triangles; bittersweet and sometimes heart-aching at its best.

Similarities: Both main character can see.........DEAD PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! Both ghosts can't figure out what they need to do in order to cross over. Dissimilarities: The ghost in the other anime has the ability to physically manifest herself , while the other doesn't. Also, the ghost in the other anime is jealous, pesky and seemingly wants to pop the guys cherries, while in the other anime the ghost simply wants to engage in a pissing match with his wife's lover.

Both stories follow main characters dealing with the loss of their spouses, whose souls remain in the world due to unresolved feelings. In Tsumashou, a mother reincarnates as a child, unable to move on, believing her husband and child need her. In Natsuyuki Rendezvous, a husband becomes a ghost, haunting the man working alongside his wife. Both anime explore life’s uncertainties through a supernatural lens, highlighting themes of grief, coping with depression, and finding ways to move forward.
