@CrazyButNot4U Lol. Crossdressing has been a thing in anime since anime existed. Japan has a very long history of crossdressing as well going back literal centuries.

The guy that wrote Astro Boy also wrote "Princess Knight" in the early 50s which has a crossgender lead. Ranma1/2 is one of the most popular animes of all time and revolves around a gender switching lead with tons of crossdressing. Not to mention the dozens of gender swap isekais.

@MichaelJackson Naomi? But as far as I remember, her typecasting is mainly eccentric girls with an ambitious character.

@RobertBobert they should have picked Naomi Oozora instead

Femboy the anime???? Heck yes.

@CrazyButNot4U This kind of premise is not new in manga or LN, you can find such plots since the 90s. At the same time, it is extremely naive to expect that a story about gender prejudice will ultimately end with a return to it. It simply doesn't make sense, and the rare works whose ending so blatantly contradicts the original idea are almost never well received.

This is definitely a weird premise. ⚠️

I was totally bamboozled with the pic, it's actually a guy... 😒

So this kind of thing is a thing nowadays.

I just hope he won't

@mshfqtny Oh, man, that would be awesome if it was Murase Ayumu!
As a fan of Paralive and the project members, I'd be very happy with that, though Shuuichirou is pretty good too.

@Ishitateso Haha, I know that, dude :D

The manga is already finished, so you can check it out before the anime comes out. It's a rather unusual work, while being engaging and colorful. At first it seems like an ordinary comedy romance (though unusual), but it gets much more interesting towards the middle, reminiscent of Kaguya-sama in that respect. In general - recommended.

@Omarumba I don't want to rain on your enthusiasm but judging by the description of this upcoming series that "beautiful girl" in the poster is actually a boy - not the best trait when it comes to waifu material :D. Anyway, putting the jokes aside, it seems an interesting anime, I put it into my PTW list.

@RobertBobert i like it that they did that. Normally It would be either a female va or murase ayumu

What a beautiful girl on the poster, it's definitely a new waifu.

Aniplex is cooking up something interesting, well Makoto Hanaoka has an interesting new role after his role as Pochita (and no, not the one you're thinking of).

I'm very excited for this; I loved the manga.

Did they take a male VA? Quite unusual, considering the practice of voicing otokonoko characters.
