I bought this from a school book fair close to when it first published! Now I feel ancient haha. The book has some AMAZING illustrations (really fleshed out the Mechs and Darwin Monsters), I hope that they do it justice and maybe they'll adapt the whole trilogy.

I'm surprised I never heard of this book. It seems the sort of thing I would have enjoyed reading back in the day.

i have no idea what the original adaptation is really about, but i saw "historical" and the promotional photo looks kind of promising. interesting

Looks interesting! I like historic works and Joe Hisaishi as a composer who is an amazingly talented person!

It looks good. I wonder how that novel will look like in an anime format. It will be cool to see a show with World War 1-like setting created by such talented and experienced people. Those who are familiar with the novel will know why I wrote "World War 1-like", haha.

That being said, I hope it won't affect negatively the production process of Trigun Stampede: Kanketsu-hen. After all, most likely Studio Orange is working on it as well at the moment.

I'm not even going to talk about Scott Pilgrim because I saw they already did that haha.

Looks really good but unfortunately people here will only talk about "Why this has been added". I mean we can blame them it's MAL fault to begin with, whoever is working on MAL should immediately fix their guidelines and add other animes like Scott Pilgrim and the new Production IG's Terminator. MAL is the only website who is creating this kind of useless confusion among the anime fans.

So this (western source, western director, western producers) was added instantly but we still can't have Scott Pilgrim?

Jun 6, 6:53 PM by kataneer

@3inPunisher It's literally the opposite here.
A western novel adapted by Japanese (eastern)

Jun 6, 5:44 PM by JaysonNnN

I can’t believe MAL added this show with all those non-Japanese names.

Jun 6, 5:17 PM by Old_School_Akira

@Ionliosite2 Are you afraid that the western people are touching your eastern product?

Jun 6, 4:37 PM by 3inPunisher

@Piromysl already here.

Jun 6, 4:07 PM by DatRandomDude

So, will this be in database or not like that Scott Pilgrim show?

Jun 6, 4:04 PM by Piromysl

Very worrying seeing who's involved.

Jun 6, 4:01 PM by Ionliosite2

damn it. i'd rather they work on HnK2 instead
