'Hamatora Project' Gets Movie and SD Anime Series

It was announced that a movie and super-deformed (SD) anime series are in production for Hamatora. The announcement was made during the Re: Hamatora Fes. 2015 Spring today. More information will be announced at a later time.

Hamatora previously received two TV seasons in 2014, as well as a manga adaptation in November 2013.

^ Exactly. The first two episodes of the first season made it seem like a promising series -- and then it snowballed into the mess it is now. By the fourth episode or so I realized that there really was no hope for this series.

And then it got a second season. I still haven't finished it. If I didn't have a bit of a completionist OCD I really wouldn't bother (stares at On-Hold list). And now a movie and SD series? How did it make enough money to warrant that?

Spend the money on rebooting Deadman Wonderland and animating it through the end instead. ;__;

ONII-CHAN. Jfc, a second season of Pupa would be a masterpiece. I hadn't laughed and WTF'd so hard at an anime in ages before that aired.

** I'm actually in the DL game fandom and even I lost my shit when I heard it was getting a second season. The anime was absolutely terrible and there's really no way to fix it. The franchise is just getting a worse rap for itself (and bringing in twelve-year-olds with deluded fantasies about S/M relationships/personalities).

guess there's gotta be some rainy weather to really enjoy beautiful weather. couldn't stand the characters in the 1st season. series not for me.

Not sure how I feel about this. I never finished season one, because of life and it was just boring. Season two didn't interest me, and now we're getting more? It feels like they're trying to make it popular on their own...

I might check out the SD series since they usually involve no plot.

Is this franchise really that popular? First season was ok but the second season was crap. I didn't hear anything good about its sales either.

Well I'll probably be watching the SD series as I didn't hate the comedy in the series but the movie will have to wait.

I'm not holding my hope up for the movie since it might be a recap.

As for the SD I'm totally watching that I can't wait to see Art and Nice chibified. xD

Movie? Really? I don't understand the producers...well SD series doesn't sound too bad, as long as it's funny. Without plot, some of the characters are pretty fun and interesting on their own. Still, are they gaining anything from this franchise?
