Because they're releasing it in other countries. This thread is for more than just US licenses.

Do license rescues count for this thread?

Before I wouldn't post them, but since I'm doing the all-in-one topic now I'll just toss them in.

''We’re going to lay to rest any speculation and announce right now that we’ve got the home video rights for A Certain Magical Index II AND A Certain Magical Index the Movie.''

OMG finally!! Does this mean they're dubbing it or just releasing it subbed?

They'll dub it since they dubbed season 1 and the first season of Railgun. However, they'll also start streaming it subbed in January. Typically Funimation dubs their home video releases.
Well damn, it's certainly Christmas time at FUNimation! I've been waiting to rewatch the second season as well as watch the movie in English. I hope the whole Raildex anime franchise thus far gets dubbed.

Wow I kind of failed on the uptake here.

Got all the new stuff in, will get updates soon.

MVM is in the UK & Ireland.

I wouldn't post about licenses for other countries. Even when I do find out about them before there is a post on here.

Ok i dont get what your saying. Pretty much all of those series are already available to buy, or are these just different companies releasing the same titles?

As if that wasn't enough stuff to post last time, Toei have leaked that MangaUK will be releasing Dragon Ball, starting in Summer next year.

An explanation: Some of you may have noticed licenses haven't been posted for a long time. The news staff had decided that the excessive posting of low-profile licenses was useless and only serving to clog up news space with topics few people read or posted in. We proposed various ideas on how to handle getting the information out effectively, and after some discussion (and maybe some laziness) we came to this conclusion. For those familiar with the quarterly simulcast list, this topic will be very similar to that one. I'll add in new licenses to the first post as they come and, if necessary, make a new post about it.

Feel free to ask questions or give suggestions and this is a new idea starting now for the first time and not expected to be perfect.

Sounds like a good idea.
