I'm willing to accept Little Busters! as more of a new season pick up (in that it was a simulcast for them for the season after it actually began), but Love Lab only has 5 episodes left as opposed to 13.

I mean, no complaints about them picking it up, that's cool and all. It's just like, what happened to make it take so long?

I don't work for either side so I can only guess that other deals had to fall through first or someone wanted a better deal or something. Ideally I'm sure both sides would have liked to have had it simulcast right away but something must have held it up. Will be interesting to find out if this is Crunchyroll direct, a Sentai sublicense or what; that might give us a clue if it was held up for home video rights or something.

Edit: will be odd if it is Aniplex of America coming from Aniplex this late.

No, that would be the first two seasons of Rozen Maiden which they added to their catalog :)

9 episodes late is far from the latest pickup they've had. Little Busters! still holds that record, 13 episodes. LoveLab still still be simulcast, just for the last few weeks. I am very happy about this!

5 things missing from my list of wanted stuff - 1 funi 1 viz 1 CR region blocked and 2 nobody. I wonder if AoD will get any of them. Then again their releases seem to have slowed to a crawl again.

As far as I can tell, there are only 7 series this season that aren't being streamed anywhere (not counting shorts) - and only two of those are new shows, Love Lab and Kimi no Iru Machi.
