Little Buster still sells better than Sakurasou despite the low investment

Sword Art Online GGO when? Kuroko no Basket summer tournament when? Magi S2 when?

People should give Kuuchuu Buranko a try.

It is hard to tell how much investment was put in Sakurasou compared to Little Buster. Do you have any hard evidence that the investment in Little Buster is low?
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

good sales for Initial D even though its the dvd version. If the blu-ray were out, the sales would be 2-3 times the amount of the dvds.

Proves that SAO is going to keep trucking.

Now if only Zombie of the Dead would start selling some god damn dvds.

So close to 30k!

It'll be interesting to see if there is any noticeable sales boost when ep11/12 air on March 18/25. Of course that's still just under 4 weeks away.

It will also be interesting to see how v2 does (out on February 22) and whether the DVD will end up ranking at all.

A quiet week. Key observations include:

GirlPan v1 breaking 28k
JoJo v1 breaking 23k
Ini-D v1 is edging ever closer to LB! and it seems it will continue to sell some more in coming weeks

On CD front, ViviPan's OP single is doing well, a bit better than expectation. This may bode well to its BD sales.

And LoveLive is doing really well. Its OP and ED singles continue to chart, and a sales of around 16k is pretty good. Its Best Album is still charted in this weeks album chart after 6 weeks and the total sales is now close to 21k.

This season is heading towards a poor harvest but hopefully we can still see ViviPan and LoveLive selling more than 10k for their vol.1
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

Love Live! v1 may very well do 10k+ due to it containing only 1 episode and thus being discounted. It is still doing well at Gamers and Softmap, so the Stalker prediction might end up being underestimated considering how Little Busters! went compared to its Stalker prediction.

^ Yeah, the very good response for the last three episodes in a row pushes Stalker projection easily above 15k, and if that is an underestimate it should sell even more.

I think I am more concerned with ViviPan. The sales ranking of ViviPan v1 is dropping in Amazon because the latest event ticket announcement applies only to orders placed on selected stores, so the Stalker prediction for ViviPan can also become an underestimation. Its current Stalker projection is just 6.5k or so. Hopefully it will prove to be following a strongly storefront model like LB!

The feeling you get from importing it yourself and seeing your buys helping the sales numbers is even better... Not to mention holding it in your hands, enjoying the artwork, music, animation, appreciating the hard work that went into it.

Light contribution for me this week, Love Love! OP and ED CDs Bokura wa ima no naka de / We're in the now with DVD featuring a non credit opening animation ; and Kitto seishun ga kikoeru / Youth can surely be heard. I love the B sides too, Wild Stars and Kaguya no shiro de odoritai / I want to dance in Kaguya's castle.

Big week this week... Love Love! Start Dash has already shipped. Ookami kodomo no ame to yuki, Girls Und Panzer 2, Shinsekai Yori 4, BTOOOM! 4, Teekyu and more magazines and books.

Another big week next week... Sukitte ii na yo 3, Sakurasou no Petto na kanojo 2, Little Busters 3, Kokoro Connect Kako Random, Tonari no Kaibutsu kun 4. Books and magazines...

Honestly the Vividred Operation OP isn't that great IMO so those sales are likely from hard core fans of the show overall. I didn't buy it and you know I love to buy stuff... Bluray and manga preordered of course.

Love Live ! Is really fun. I look forward to seeing the series BDs after seeing the BD in u's Best Album Best Live Collection which I love to bits. The singles too. It is an interesting project, they should do a show about making the show itself! Honestly I think that might be a more interesting story than the made up school idols save the school plot. They built this up in such a fascinating way.

This is why the good sales of this CD boosts my hope a bit for a good sales of the BD. If there are that many hardcore fans buying the CD, it should bode well for the BD sales.

When the season started, I included Love Live in the anime I would watch because I always love idol stuff anyway even though their music video released earlier never got me too enthusiastic. So at the beginning LoveLive was just one of the >25 shows I watch this season but I did not hold much expectation. At first it was just the top-notched character animation and funny face/gesture making that got my attention, but the more I watched the more I find myself falling in love with the characters and the show, and by ep.4 I had to agree that for me this has become the top show for this season as I would really wait impatiently for the next episode and re-watch the same episode multiple times. I find it interesting that my feeling towards this series over time somehow coincides with its performance in the sales ranking quite closely.

+++++

For the coming week, the competition is going to be extremely brutal. This is a partial list of discs that will be released this week and I think it should cover all the titles that are remotely likely to chart:

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (in 3 different packaging options)
Yamato 2199 v4
Tiger & Bunny movie - the beginning

MS Gundam MS Team 08 BD Box
Gosick BD Box

GirlPan v2
JoJo v2
Psycho-Pass v3
Chuunibyou v3
Busou Shnki v3
Shinsekai Yori v4
Btooom v4
KamiHaji v3

Teekyu
Seitokai no Ichizon 2 v1

Saki Achiga-hen v7
KuroBas v8
Horizon2 v6
YuruYuri2 v6
Total Eclipse v6
Jintai v6
BokuH v6
New Tennis Prince v6
Rinne no Langrange 2 v6

Hyouka v9
Eureka Seven AO v9
Shirokuma Cafe v8
Saint Seiya Omega v7

Code Breaker v3
Hiiro no Kakera 2 v2
Ebiten v4

Girls und Panzer is becoming the Totoro of blurays.

And wow at that list of stuff coming next week.
Best selling Light Novel volumes of 2014/all time*.
*that there is data for

A light novel is not a manga. They are completely different things. Please do not refer to 'the manga' when talking about a light novel series, unless you are specifically referring to a manga adaptation that it may have received.
Likewise a light novel is not a genre. Judging a series based on it being a light novel or adaptation of one merely makes you look like an idiot.

Btooom!'s anime adaption must have sucked compared to the manga if it has only 300 in DVD sales. Only thing that was nice was the art/animation, that psycho kid's character I think his name was Kira or something, and the opening cause of Nano the rest was just average imo.
