In the manga, he tells her he doesn't want her to participate. But once they get into the ring and they're cuffed, he pretty much uses her as a weapon (while cuffed) which was pretty cool. None of this melodrama and Hikari nearing tears crap. Great way to make two strong characters look very weak. Other than that, it was okay. But I'm going to bite somebody if they keep all this emo-ness up. For anyone one that likes manga, and hasn't read S.A. yet, I recommend that over this. |
| Agreeing with Kineta here. This episode was ridiculous. I didn't like how they executed it at all. The unnecessary and corny drama was painful to watch. I'm disappointed that all the anime watchers are turned off from S.A. when the original material is so much better. I guess something shoujo needs someone like Bones to do it (since Bones managed to make Ouran good, and I like S.A. more then Ouran!) Boo boo Gonzo. T.T I hope they do a better job with episode 3. If they can't do the humor right they should just stick to the more romantic aspects of this series. |
| I thought it was fine. A little corny but still enjoyable. I think the whole fighting scene with Kei was done better in the manga. *sigh* |

| way too overdramatic for my taste.... the whole wrestling thing was just illogical and somehow stupid.. i mean, he has to protect hikari from getting hurt because he has handcuffs on... and the next second he suddenly has this powerful strength and breaks the handcuffs... i liked some of hikaris reactions... she is pretty cute, and i liked the part where she smiled, she looked cute there. in short... meh episode |

| Well, at least I'm not alone with thinking how bland this episode was. I don't think I let out so much as a giggle the entire time, and I wasn't feeling any love for the "romance" either (even though I like Kei and Hikari as a couple). So, fails on the comedy, fails on the fluffy romance (not to mention really fails on the generic seiyuu opening and ending songs) ... yeah, if this keeps up, I'll give up on the anime :/ |

| Lol at jealous Kei and throwing the book at president then accepts the match. Funny how clueless Hikari is when clearly the traps are aiming at her xD. Nice how the two won the match though (even though the opponents are clearly not students LOL). |

| I'm having trouble actually caring about any of the characters atm, because of the atmosphere and the way they introduced these larger than life characters =/ Might just not be my kinda anime, but we'll see. |

| Dat forced drama... It wasn't as good and funny as the first episode. The part where he was protecting her felt so unnatural since he's always saying that she's so strong and better than everyone except him... Kinda contradicting yourself here. I hope it doesn't fall into these easy cliche. It could have been funny if it had been pushed to the extreme, like if they were parodying soap drama, but that was awkwardly not the case. |

| This show is rather fun I must say, it's a bit obnoxious though, the characters are just too loud and scream too much. Showing Hikari's face up-close was a surprise though, she's actually a real beauty. |
