Introduction
Just to let the random visitors know, I'm Crystal, one of the database administrators on this site. If you have any concerns with any database on this website (anime, manga, voice actors, fansub groups, characters, producers, whatever) send me a PM and I'll get to it. Any questions, send it to me too since I can probably answer it (or I'll make it up on the spot). If you see parts of the website breaking, don't send that to me I can't help you (contact Xinil instead). Any PMs that I can't help you with I'll be sure to direct it to another staff member who can. You can also find me on the IRC channels #myanimelist and #SOLBrigade (both on Rizon). Just say Crystal and if I'm there I should magically pop up (my IRC nick is crystalstar though).

I will not respond to any messages more then I need to. I apologize for that. I am an extremely busy person IRL and I only remain on MAL solely to do DB work for it because of my attachment to this place over the years I've been here.

About Me
So...yeah. Crystal is a 20 year old Chinese undergraduate at Monash University, Australia. I'm from Brunei Darussalam though (Wiki that if you don't know where it is), so I live either there or Melbourne during the year. Currently working towards a Bachelors double degree in Arts and Education, majoring in English Literature with a minor in Media Studies for the Arts degree. Hobbies include watching anime, reading manga and novels, playing RPGs, chatting online, watching dramas (Asian or English), watching the occasional movie at the cinemas, hanging with my friends, travelling and shopping (clothes and accessories especially).

I got into anime in 2002 or something like that. AXN-Asia was brought over to my country and I saw a number of shows (Fushigi Yuugi, Strange Dawn, Kenshin, Saiyuki, Gate Keepers, etc.) there. Before that the only anime I saw was the usual stuff people saw as they were kids (like Sailor Moon). After I saw Vandread I wanted to watch the second season, and thus I begin downloading. And 5 years later here I am, still doing the same thing.

Please note that I DO NOT take random friend requests. In other words, if I do not know you, I WILL NOT accept your friend requests. If you wish to get to know me, head on over to the IRC channel at #myanimelist @ irc.rizon.net or use the java applet to connect to the channel using your browser. I am normally on there (although I may not talk often). It's a good chance for you to get to know everyone else also and integrate yourself into the community. We're a friendly, although silly, bunch. And note that I'm one of the more unfriendly members at MAL, so I suggest anyone who wants to get to know the community to seek others. :D

I normally spend 80% of my time on MAL working on the databases here. Adding stuff, editing stuff, deleting stuff. The remaining 15% is on the forums, with 5% on anything else on this site. Because of that, I don't interact much with any members, nor do I plan to. Oh wells...

I have had other layouts beside these, and some of the older ones might have had backgrounds to them but I can't remember or retrieve them from anywhere.
