| Excellent use of CG, the animation quality improved on this episode. This is turning out to be a shockingly enjoyable series for me. I like the characters especially Ranka, she can sing just as well as Sheryl! I didn't realise Sheryl was french till she wrote on the mirror xD Hoping for some more Nyan Nyan next time~! |

| Yes, make an all important thing out of hearing what the guy saw of their fallen ally, only to throw him out when he requests something so awful as still piloting and replacing the dead pilot that just died in it. Wouldn't want someone, you know, selflessly serving the military. Go back and live a peaceful life you dastardly guy. And we especially don't need anyone with any prowess on their hands to protect the fate of countless people. That's a really good time to be an overly emotional idiot right there. It's not like a bunch of lives are at stake. Also, Ranka Lee was tough? Not really. That would be cool though. |

| Those red things really seem to be after Ranka. There must be something about her. Well she said she is 1/4 Zentradi but is that really so special? She can't be the only one with Zentradi blood. Maybe is something else. Those private soldiers where kind of strange as hell. Why the hell did they dragged the guy there and then threw him out? Sure i can get wanting to learn how your comrade died but there is no need for that whole awkwardness. He could have just ask him and tell the others later instead of bringing him there and then smacking him. |
| This feels more like a musical or fairy tale than a mecha space-opera lol. But if the series keeps up the great pacing and ASTOUNDING visuals it will be a very entertaining ride. |

| ahaha Amateur piloting mecha - check saving girl in borrowed mecha - check getting hand of this mecha separeted from mecha along with girl - check saving girl once again in last seconds by taking her into cockpit while still flying - check =awesome, it felt so nostalgic watching Ranka being saved by Alto just like Minmay was saved by Hikaru in the old SDF Macross. i can't get used to the computer graphic yet ( been watching old Macross series recently) but i like how fast battles are. + I already know that i'm gonna like Ranka and i kinda expect Sheryl to show signs that she's not bad girl either. - i'm still getting used the main male lead, he looks girly, he's tsundere and i somtimes feel like watching shoujo (nothing against shoujo but this is Macross !!!!) at least he's not voiced by female seiyuu Sent with Mal Updater |

| Nice callbacks to SDF Macross and the sequels while still original. Sheryl left a message on a mirror in French! I wonder why she decided to take Ranka with her (maybe she thought that Ranka knew the way to SMS HQ). By the way, the preview from ep. 1 deculture edition was extended and I think some of the things said there by the characters were foreshadowing more than was shown in ep. 2 |
