Nyaruko-san) Kyuubey: Emiri Katou (Lucky☆Star) The event also announced that the Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story) smartphone game will feature a new story subtitled scene 0. The Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Music Collection and Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Ultimate Best soundtracks will be released worldwide on Apple Music and Spotify on Monday. The franchise will hold an exhibition in Tokyo in late September, with additional regions planned afterwards. The original psychological thriller magical girl anime series aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2011. The Hajimari no Monogatari (Beginnings) and Eien no Monogatari (Eternal) compilation films premiered in Japan in October 2012, with the Hangyaku no Monogatari (Rebellion) sequel film opening the following October. The trilogy grossed over 3.23 billion yen (approximately US$30 million) at the domestic box office. Aniplex of America licensed the anime series in North America and distributed the television anime in three home video installments between February and June 2012, the two compilation films in July 2013, and the sequel film in April 2014. Shaft adapted the Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden smartphone game into a 13-episode television anime last Winter. Crunchyroll, Funimation, and HIDIVE simulcast the anime with subtitles. A second anime season is currently in production. | Well, it was fairly obvious that this was the “project” hinted during the 10th anniversary event but it’s great to have confirmation nonetheless! Sad I missed today’s event though. They’ve kept us waiting for ages, can’t wait to see what this has got in store for us! |

| finally, been waiting for this since Rebellion disaster ending. Judging by the title, that means Walpurgisnacht will come again and why was there a need to show the weird broken glass image in the poster, didn't that happened in Rebellion? Well, it's good news, Madoka Magica is an ok anime which I followed. |

Interesting, to me the end of the 3rd movie gave a lingering feeling of uncertainty - it felt incomplete to me. It never felt like a true ending and thus I always hoped for more. I think happy ending is now more possible than ever. Otherwise they wouldn't continue the story - if they plan to kill characters, they should leave us with "open" ending we have now. It'll be stupid though if Homura backs down and Madoka goes god-mode AGAIN and disappears. Can't wait to see how this gets resolved! |
