Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri Part 2

Several months have passed since the infamous Ginza Incident, with tensions between the Empire and JSDF escalating in the vast and mysterious "Special Region" over peace negotiations. The greed and curiosity of the global powers have also begun to grow, as reports about the technological limitations of the magical realm's archaic civilizations come to light.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Youji Itami and his merry band of female admirers struggle to navigate the complex political intrigue that plagues the Empire's court. Despite her best efforts, Princess Piña Co Lada faces difficulties attempting to convince her father that the JSDF has no intention of conquering their kingdom. Pressured from both sides of the Gate, Itami must consider even more drastic measures to fulfill his mission.

The events continue from the first season with the Fire Dragon mission, followed by side missions until the war and political coup begin. Overall, it was enjoyable but fell short of the first season's level due to some events feeling irrelevant to the main storyline. Additionally, there were episodes with a modified version from the studio, including the ending.

With the expansion of the world, the number of characters increased significantly. The role of the Itami' Battalion diminished, and new characters took up more than two episodes dedicated to them, or even an entire arc. This was a positive aspect, as it developed the side characters.

The ... production quality remained unchanged, with the same drawing and animation style, which is excellent. The opening and ending songs, along with their montages, were beautifully crafted.

The ending was quite strange, somewhat resembling a story conclusion, yet many events were left unresolved. Due to the change in direction from manga and novel the anime adopting a conclusion end, it’s unclear how the third season will unfold. However, after 10 years, a third season has been announced.

‏النهاية كانت غريبة جدا تشبه ختام قصة نوعا ما لكن باقي كثير من الأحداث
‏وبسبب تغيير المسار وأخذ نهاية خاصة في الأنمي لا أعلم كيف سيكون الموسم الثالث لكن بعد 10 سنوات هناك إعلان عنه

Mixed Feelings

Somehow Worse than season 1. I don't see how people rate this a 7. I want to like it, I really do but the bad writing makes it darn near impossible.
Maybe it's not as bad in the comics/manga but holy shit man. Primarily the bunny lady, but even if she wasn't in the story at all it would simply go from Bad to Mediocre/Boring writing with a lack of depth.
Also a lot of open ends but that's of course because the show is over but the Manga goes way further I imagine.
I won't go into spoilers but literally every single issue with season ... 1, isn't fixed or gets worse.
It's unsatisfying, the writing is stupid at all times. Literally all it's got going for it is fan service and stuff like that.
Even the action is very mediocre. There's a lot of "gaps" unresolved things, sudden jumps. Possible that those aren't there in the manga but still.
The intro at the very least I like better than season 1. But that's one of the only things.
The ending is shit.
Character Development is 0 and the character they want you to think is interesting is stupid and written horribly.
An abomination of writing. I tell you shows like this are gonna be replaced by AI and it will probably be better at some point.
I started this series because it had a pretty decent rating. But I think there's been "trashy isekai" which I've enjoyed more even though they have lower ratings. Sure they are trash too but they are self aware trash and easy and chill to consume or simply comedy. This on the other hand is the opposite. It tries to be serious or have writing but fails in every way.
Aspects like world building aren't any better, shallow, hardly explored. Even things which should have been explored in season 1 episode 4 still don't get explored or addressed really at all in this season either.
Though I guess if you don't care about writing or your brain is just "build different" and you don't even notice or see how horrible it is, it could be enjoyable I guess. But to me the amount of pains are far greater than the little charm it has.

Simp author as always. One of the ministers or whatever decided to break a treaty just to save a little girl, threatening the credibility and safety of the whole nation, pedophile author. MC and friends killed hundreds of the raiders yet decided to let the bird girl or whatever she was live, why? because she's a girl duh. Really threw me off there. She was literally raiding a town, trying to kill and pillage a town yet MC and friends let her live while all the others were massacred. Dumb story, all revolve around saving girls. Just a really bad one, if you were going ... to have your theme revolve around military world, then at least stick with it. Would've been 100 times better if instead of having simp characters, author decided to give a really realistic militaristic way on dealing with the whole problems happening.
