Both shows have similar character designs, even though the personalities in the show are very different. Also, both have themes that follow mental illness and trauma. However, school days focuses more on romance and myself; yourself seems to focus more on character relationships. There were just many times during myself; yourself that reminded me of school days, even though their plots are different.
The story kinda reminded me of School Days. The beginning seems more happy and the ends gets dark. If you understand, I would say that School Days is darker than Myself ; Yourself.
They both start out seeming like your typical anime full of drama and revolving around school but you realize that it isnt your typical anime very early into the series. Both animes have a very dark background and there are always traces of something more sinister lurking around. Both uses forshadowing very well. I personally enjoyed Myself;Yourself more then School Days though.
Similar characters, similar storyline, similar style. Both animes have similar aspects in one way or another. They both have a sort of "love-trangle" type story, and have a slightly horror-ish vibe to them with eerie scenes. Both seemignly sweet animes, then slowly getting darker and more emotional as the story goes on. You can really feel the characters emotions throughout the animes, and it's very easy to imagine yourself in their shoes. They can make you feel happy, sad, angry, and just about any other mixture of emotions, so you'll never really know what to expect with how you'll feel after you've watched them.
Both are Slice of Life that tend to turn strange near the end, and the endings will leave you breatheless..
Really dark and sad theme.
Both series start off as seemingly innocuous, unassuming, slightly awkward high school harem-ish romantic comedy series but spend the last few episdoes kicking the drama and insanity up to eleven and careening out of control. One gets a hold of itself and pulls together a happy ending; the other... not so much.

Both are anime that seem to be nice and charming but have a awful twist!
Both have around 13 episodes! lol kidding. Both have touchy romance, they don't have stupid ecchi and they're bound to leave a long-lasting impression on your mind with the good looking characters, friendship, the love and the soundtracks. If you're a fan of teh romance genre, this one's a must-watch for you.
Both are as thin on plot and high on melodrama, so if you liked one, chances are you'll like the other.
i recomend you watch this if you enjoyed h2o becouse they are wery similar , both of these have to do with friendship and familly issues, the drawing style is similar too the character developement is similar and interesting ^^.
Both animes have a simular feel to it. As soon as I started watching Myself; Yourself it reminded me of H2O. They both have a quite simular storyline, though it's still different enough to make it original. If you liked one, you'll probably like the other one as well!
I think that "Myself: Yourself" is quite similar to "H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~". Both start with guy comming to town and meeting the girls. Also in the beginning we see ecchi on both anime. Hayami ("H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~") and Nanaka ("Myself: Yourself") have similar characters and changes their personalities because of fire. Voice actress of Nanaka also voiced Takuma ("H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~"). Both Sana ("Myself: Yourself") and Takuma have sad past before coming to the town. But in my opinion "Myself: Yourself" is a little darker than "H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~", but both turn really depressing towards the end.

These two romance series presents to the viewer likable characters and cute moments. Both are currently airing in the 2007 fall season and have male leads who look similar to one another.
well, the biggest similarity between that TV series is that both of them are treating about *school times*, so you know - in general school, friends, boyfriends&girlfriends, first love, family, intrests etc.
but in my opinion 'Myself;Yourself' has a more mature attitude to these issues and shows the life of teenagers which is not always as colorful as somebody might think. That anime have a deep insight into serious youth's problems, such as difficult past or family conflicts, which are sometimes downgraded by other productions. The plot stays in your mind and makes you think. moreover, it's well-done and watching is a great pleasure! I would recommend it for everybody - the anime has only 13 episodes, but it's really worth watching. I guess that's currently my fav ;)
'Clannad' was more like a pure entertainment for me - makes you really relaxed ;)! the biggest advantage of that series is a great sense of humour - it really makes you laugh outloud at times ^_- Dialogues are great and characteres very nice, especially Tomoya-kun ^^. but if you are 'anime obsessed ' and usually prefer sth which forces you to think about various issues , you may be disappointed and bored at times.
Kotomi's arc reminds me a lot of Nanako's story
At first, it looks like a school slice of life with a bit of romance and harem, but in the end it ends up beind SO much more than that. Both reach a certain depth in predestined relationships, even if the show doesn't focus on it.
Both are Harem style anime dealing with love, drama, comedy and friendship between teens but have their own unique tastes which make them good. Both animes have their share of tender and sad romantic moments.

Both shows have a main character who is returning to a town that they lived in as a child, and are both slowly remembering events that happened there when they were children.
guy goes back to childhood town, and starts to recall things. also a guy surrounded by girls, lots of drama etc
They are pretty similar in style and message

These two remind me a lot of each other. I'm not sure why. They both have a lot of drama and a beautiful soundtrack and I thought they were equally good
both have a dark side to them, and becomes deeper the more you watch. ef has more emotional drama, tho both have mysteries.
At first, it looks like a school slice of life with a bit of romance and harem, but in the end it ends up beind SO much more than that. Both reach a certain depth in predestined relationships, even if the show doesn't focus on it.

The situations of the characters are somewhat similar. After years of being apart, the male and female protagonists are reunited and realize that they are in love. Iin both cases, there is an obstacle that needs to be overcome before they can be together.

Both are romantic comedies about childhood friends. Both are also set in a more rural setting. Lamune is a little more easy going but Myself Yourself is definitely a show that keeps you tied

Both series start as simple high school romantic comedies composed of various character focus episodes and mini-arcs and eventually switch over to serious, high-stakes drama and varying levels of angst. Happiness! is pretty much just Myself ; Yourself with magical girls -- by-the-book harem setup, generic insert-self-here protagonist, obligatory twins, and all.

I do not know how this is never .. For I can not control at first sight, I saw a kind of typical events, which are somewhat Mixed few episodes, especially in the end, the story seemed similar .. All of them talk about students having to travel away for a long time and then start the story until he returns to see things have not been deemed by the events change the course of his life for reasons unknown, we will see them in the end

Both anime are drama like and in both of them there are old childhoodfriends... xD

If you loved clannad you'll also like myself yourself. Because both of these anime series have similar drawings, sad background stories of characters and hopeful expectations from the future and a big romance

Some similar story like some guy came back to its home town to find its childhood friends and they start remembering their pasts.
|
|
|
A lot of girls and one main male charachter who dont know what to do and always doing stupid things and eveything happend at school
|
|
|
Both have a main character returning home after some time, and it picks from there where they try to build relationships and make friends.
They both have more than one relationship going on.
kimi-kiss is more straight-forward involving its main characters, while for myself ; yourself, some of the main characters have a hidden unknown past.

They have this "feel good" effect when watching it.
I find them both amusing!! Plus they have good op and ed themes! :D

Although LovCom(Short for Lovely Complex) is much lighter than Myself;Yourself, they both have a good amount of drama in it. Both are also romance-concentrated, and deal with the troubles of the main characters and their relationships. Lovely Complex is so hilarious!! So if you're looking for a romance-comedy somewhat similar to Myself;Yourself, then I recommend it to you(vice-versa for LovCom). ^ ^

both deep dramas which have a hint of darkness. both worth watching.
|
|
|
myself is more drama and slice of life, whilst sola has more action and a bit of magic, but both start off with a hint of comedy but turn out to be dark and mind-blowing.

shuffle + myself;yourself are anime based on high school, it was happy in the begginning, but went downhill with the happiness, and also the girls have a secret that is really bad.
