It has been a wondrous ride following this series for so long and looking back at how The World God Only Knows has impacted the anime community, it’s not far off to say that it changed harem anime as we know it. Showing that you don’t need to show girls in suggestive situations all the time in order to provoke entertainment or emotion into your harem. Sometimes all you really need is genuine emotion and intelligent comedic writing to create a meaningful love story. Or in this case multiple love stories.

Now the story has focused on the Goddess Arc of the manga, which a lot read more

When was the last time you saw a sequel to an anime and thought to yourself, "this was say better than the previous seasons." Rarely. Am I correct? Well with the third instalment of to Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai franchise, I can promise you that this instalment surpasses the previous two.

The story of this season continues in a similar fashion to the other two, however in this season Keima has to reconquer his former heroines from the past. Unlike the other two seasons, by the end of this anime we get to see hints that Keima will develop a lot as a character, but read more

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Megami-hen. (Long titles FTW). As the third installment of this series, many fans who haven't read the manga should probably be expecting what is to be expected of this series. This review is literally after I finished the series.

Story: For those of you who haven't seen or heard of this series, the world god only knows is the story of a gamer who is forced to make girls fall in love with him in order to capture loose souls, forcing them out of the girls' hearts in order to be captured. However, the story of this read more

This is my second review.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
KSS's first and second season has much more been a typical harem show and I wasn't expecting anything to change. However things did change and it shocked me ultimately to say the least. The plot started to develop and it was a pretty good one at that.
While the first and second season has been more into how Keima deals with his 'conquests' at trying to make a girl fall in love with him to draw out the loose souls, this final season has given us a perfect and powerful ending to end the series entirely. The build up over the read more
- Both have the same genres; Comedy, Harem, Romance, Shounen. With the exception of Ecchi, School, and Sci-fi on To LOVE-Ru Darkness, and Supernatural on KamiNomi Megami-hen.
- Both have main male lead surrounded by lots of females(well, it IS harem anime..)
- Both have a really nice plot, unlike other harem anime.
- There is no action genre, but both of them have some action parts.
- Both anime's art is good.
- Both anime's Opening Theme is good.
- Both are third season, and the third season's female lead is different than the first and second season.
Both anime involves dating games and making girls fall in love with the main character and those girls are spirits. They're both comedic as well.
Utena and Keima are two characters who are busy pursuing their own idealism and in their own ways defy the social constructs surrounding them in the process. Both are reluctantly pulled into "games" by higher powers and prove to be surprisingly proficient at the task dealt to them, despite their seeming disinterest in getting involved with the bigger picture.
Both shows are divided into smaller stories that are focused on one or a few characters and their personal involvement with the main character. Revolutionary Girl Utena's story telling utilizes more surrealism and off beat humor while The World God Only Knows is more straight forward in story and gags.
The third season of The World God Only Knows and the final story arcs of Revolutionary Girl Utena are where both shows shine their brightest. The stakes are at their highest, many veils are lifted and characters develop into their most relatable states. Constructs up to this point are turned upside down, no established premise is safe and any presumptions will be used against Utena, Keima and the viewer to keep everyone on their toes. The stories' accelerators are both pushed to the floor and do not let up all the way until the end. If you thought everything that came up to this point was good or even just intriguing, then these thirds acts should blow you away.
Both play on Greek Mythology by names and Male MC conquers girls for his harem by kissing.
They're both pretty much the serious sides of comedy anime.
The World God Only Knows III and OreImo 2nd Season Specials (the final ending) deliver some of the most unconventional wedding scenes ever happened involving main characters. This left me wondering about my future. Are all otaku weddings bizarre to this extent?
