NHK ni Youkoso!

Twenty-two-year-old college dropout Tatsuhiro Satou has been a hikikomori for almost four years now. In his isolation, he has come to believe in many obscure conspiracy theories, but there is one in particular which he holds unshakable faith in: the theory that the evil conspirator behind his shut-in NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) status is the Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai (NHK)—an evil and secret organization dedicated to fostering the spread of hikikomori culture.

NHK ni Youkoso! is a psychological dramedy that follows Tatsuhiro as he strives to escape from the NHK's wicked machinations and the disease of self-wrought isolation, while struggling to even just leave his apartment and find a job. His unexpected encounter with the mysterious Misaki Nakahara might signal a reversal of fortune for Tatsuhiro, but with this meeting comes the inevitable cost of having to face his greatest fear—society.

Welcome to the N.H.K. is a very strong and relatable anime, especially for people who understand loneliness, anxiety, or social withdrawal. The story, dark humor and writing are all well done and many viewers can easily relate to Satou’s struggles, I definitely could.

The way the anime presents Satou’s perspective is one of its biggest strengths. How he imagines the world, exaggerates situations and mixes paranoia with reality feels disturbingly accurate. The storytelling does a great job of showing how mental struggles can distort perception.

That said, the anime can feel uneasy to watch, especially at the beginning. I felt that too, but it’s intentional and fits ... the theme. However, one thing I didn’t fully like is that the anime sometimes relies too much on dark comedy. Considering how serious the topics are, the story could have benefited from being more serious and grounded at certain points instead of using humor.

Overall, Welcome to the N.H.K. is a powerful, uncomfortable, and well written anime with meaningful themes. It’s not for everyone but for those who can relate, it hits hard.

Mixed Feelings

Went for the anime for a comfort watch as I heard it's similar to an anime I watched, only ended up just feeling uncomfortable, but it made sense to me

I don't know if I recommend it or not because it's for sure not for everyone, some will find it incredibly weird and some have it as their favourite, but not in the way of any other anime

It dives a lot in topics I have never seen in a different anime even ones that are focused on an adult audience, that's why it felt so eery, even during the scenes which made the majority ... uncomfortable but that's the point it goes in realities which some don't even think that some live this way

I will just say I recommend it when you feel demotivated, it's a really good watch just bare the first few episodes.

This is the most overrated anime that i have ever seen, the score 8 is simply a collective delirium, the anime have some good points, but this wont make a good anime, i will enumerate in three lists

Good points;
the soundtrack is really good

yes, are just this, i am thinking about for 10 minutes and i dont get any other good point

razoable points;
characters: some of them are really good like yamazaki, he is a human that definitely exist in some place in the world, some of them are strange to think about like misaki, but the satou is simply the devil, and i am not ... talking about the hikikomori he is, or the lack of social habilities, he is the worst people in the world, everyone are trying to help him, but he can't take a single correct decision about what to do, and it cannot be just "part of the anime proposition", he doesnt develop naturally and some other problems, like how deal with schizophrenia

the art; isn't bad, but its not a masterpiece or something like that

Bad points;

the story is really slow, and has about, 12 eps that just doesnt need to exist, this anime you could watch in 3.0x speed without any problem, and just ignore 10 episodes, because nothing happens, and when happen its just a like a piece of trash, the arc of island or the video game should be a joke, because they are really bad, and not make sense, the people who think that have good stories are lying to yourself, because "cult people" think that a story is good just for deal about complicated topics

the MC i think that i spoke enough about him

and for last, the comedy is not comic
