Nothing important to say about me, but I'm flattered you wanted to know!
SCORING SYSTEM
Scores are based on how much I was engaged and possibly emotionally affected while watching, and how satisfied I am having finished it. No, harems, sports and history don't interest me, but if I give one such anime a judgemental score, I assure you the genre was not the reason.
11 (Flawless Masterpiece):
Completely transcendent of any reasonable expectations of quality; not one moment, performance or animation frame that doesn't realised to its full potential.
I've yet to experience an anime that I believe achieves this status, but any that do will be noted as this, as I believe a 10/10 can be awarded to something with a flaw or two. Consider it an A++.
Skip food for the day if it means you can afford to buy this in HD.
10 (Essential):
Stellar quality all round, deeply engaging from the first episode to finale, and strongly impactful in some way; either not a single aspect is less than great, or those which are are made up for by absolute excellence in others.
Be sure to see it at least once if you are even slightly value other anime of its type.
9 (Something special):
Fantastically unique or uniquely fantastic; despite having maybe a few lackluster elements, they are definitely worth overlooking for the sake of experiencing the greater, either bringing something new and very interesting to the table or polishing off the familiar.
Definitely check it out at least if you have any interest in its genre.
8 (Worth Your Time):
Not top-tier but definitely above average and high quality. Will probably keep you engaged and leave you satisfied, despite a few hiccups.
Watch or at least try if you have the chance to.
7 (Noteworthy):
Despite probably having a few negatives, the majority is good enough to make them worth tolerating. You won't be disinterested for the most part but you won't exactly crave more either.
Don't overlook it, but don't force yourself to watch it if you dislike the premise at first.
6 (Eh):
What it has going for it is there, and it won't be a bore to watch, but unless it's a lower point of a greater series, you could probably spend your time better watching something else.
Don't disregard, but don't go out of your way either.
5 (Doubtful):
At this point, the series positive and negative aspects are relatively equal. For every great moment there is another awful one.
Though this means it isn't exactly bad, I just don't think you'll get much out of watching this unless it is reeeeally up your alley.
4 (Skip):
Nothing of value that isn't overshadowed or undermine by something bad. At this point, watching paint dry is more worth it; the only reason I could imagine recommending anything of this tier or lower is to make other anime look better or to cure the most extreme of boredom.
3 (Not Even Trying):
Any positive impression you might get from this are deceptive or aimed at the very easily amused.
If you bought this, you were ripped off and it might make a nice paperweight.
2 (Insultingly Bad):
The equivalent of an animated middle finger in blackface. You might be better off if you opened the case and a blank disc was on it.
Watching this is not pleasurable at all and has no redeeming values whatsoever.
1 (Torture):
Yes, I know some anime that could be classified as torture. Assaults on the senses. Physically painful or stressful to watch without any payoff that could justify it.
0 (So Bad, It's Good):
The unskilled trying to make the great. The result is sometimes worth watching just to laugh at the expense of the creators. Rare, but exceptional.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.
Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.
The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.
But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.
