That is like at volume 14 or 15 I think in the manga if I am not mistaken, I actually really liked that fight and Carlos as a character. He doesn't quite replace Rikishi but, he is kind of an irreplaceable character in my eyes. Probably one of the best rivals I've read in a manga. I will have to see for myself how they implement the usage of color in the anime. It never really bothered me that things were gray scale in the manga as during the fights it really highlights the action with the shading, which is pretty impressive considering the time period. Joe's change felt pretty subtle to me throughout, he is kind of hard to pinpoint what he is feeling exactly during some of his more intense matches. It might also seem a bit negative, but I am glad that Joe lost matches. I felt like he was getting too sure of himself and those fights humbled him while also showing he isn't invincible.

Ah! Perfect timing honestly! I just finished Ashita no Joe, the manga that is. I will eventually watch the anime whenever I feel like it but I was pretty happy with the series for the most part, I am curious to see how well it has been adapted and if there are any major changes, I feel like music probably plays a large role in the scenes. We can discuss bits and pieces of it if you like!

I haven't read his review yet but I know your message wasn't I'll intention. I just kinda dislike people who consider their review "PERFECT" and make it to another account instead of making it on your original account what's the difference?

Heck, I still laugh hard when somebody pointed one of misspells words and grammar errors that sometimes hard to spot.

Hello Good Day!

I made a review in Run with the Wind. Here's the I would like to know your opinion about the show. It will be nice if you have any opinions on my review. I am open to criticism. If you like the review, clicking the helpful button is highly appreciative to show your support.

The OST of both the Baki TV series and the netflix version, both are of pretty equal quality honestly. Kind of hard for me to choose which one I like more.

I believe he made Zambot 3 like 3 years before the first Gundam series if I am not mistaken, it is kind of way ahead of its time considering mecha anime was still like a decade old. Though, I hope you do decide to finish Ashita no Joe one day, either in manga or anime form. I am gonna assume you recommend the series very much since you liked the series very much!

I hope you have fun with Zambot 3, been a good while since I watched but it is definitely a hidden gem among older Super Robot Animes, the ED of Zambot 3 is also pretty good, especially as the series goes on.

If you have any other things to ask or curious about other series I have watched, feel free to ask! C:

I totally understand, it isn't exactly easy and realistic to expect everyone has the internet with them in these times. I hope you are doing good though!

I just want to make sure you enjoy what I recommend though, everyone has their unique tastes and I don't want to ignore that when I recommend stuff. Though I do agree Zeta Gundam has good character designs, though I think the mechs look even better in action than people give the show credit for honestly. I personally am pretty easy to please when it comes action and the like.

I honestly didn't feel Princess whatever her name was(lol) was all that useless. She played her role fine but there honestly weren't that many good women in 00 that weren't either totally evil or totally support, which is kind of out of the ordinary for the series as a whole. I only ever really dislike things like fanservice or ecchi stuff, mostly because I feel like if you want to watch adult content just look for it on the internet instead of like softcore stuff but I am going on a tangent now lol.

The soundtrack of the series is pretty good as well, I suggest checking it out after you watch it. They reuse songs a lot but kind of never notice due to how they are implemented. I am still curious to what you think of Zambot 3, Tomino is an interesting director and writing. If you watch all of his stuff you can pick up on his thoughts during pretty much every decade. Zeta Gundam does a pretty good job of where he went with most stuff in the 80's.

Once you get far enough into TV Baki, you have to tell me who your favorite characters are!

Totally fine with me, I get everybody has things going on so no worries. I tend to type a lot when it comes to things I am passionate about, it never hurts to be assisted when it comes to learning languages so translator or not, I will keep you in mind for learning Spanish.

As for Gundam, I suggest you watch Gundam Wing next mostly because you seem to really like Shounen Ai and that one was particularly popular among females if I am not mistaken. Though if you want to watch Zeta Gundam you have to watch Gundam 0079(either the series or the movies, but I recommend both) as it is a hard sequel to the original. You MIGHT like Gundam Seed based off the male characters design but it is kind of divisive among the fan base and it is pretty similar to the original series if I am not mistaken.

I was talking about the TV (old ver.), it is better than the Netflix version but they both have their issues. You might like it though but I still think the manga is the best way to get into it. The Netflix version is also the second part of the story so you will be kind of lost on the importance of some characters unless you watch/read the original series. It is still a series worth getting into but it has to be the right way.

It is kind of hard to explain what I meant by "if you really want to change your thinking on things" but if you watch them I think it becomes apparent. They make some hard statements on people and humanity as a whole, regardless if it is fiction or not. I hope you enjoy them though, you will learn some interesting things about the human condition from them. Plus the openings are really great.

You could always try a translator, I think I would understand what you meant generally. Though my Spanish is mad weak so I don't know if I could speak your language fluently enough to convey my ideas.
Well when it comes to mecha series, you can probably tell I like Gundam a lot. I've always been interested in robots and mecha stuff since I watched transformers as a kid so Gundam felt like the next step. I actually hated Gundam for the longest time because I felt like it didn't compare to things like Gurren Lagann and Mazinger, really over the top stuff. Though my exposure to mecha came from the Super Robot Taisen/Wars games, those really pushed me into learning more about the genre.
Gundam stood out to me because I realized that a mecha series can be drama heavy yet still be good, it doesn't need to be full of insane powers or nonsensical like Gurren Lagann, though that isn't to say I don't like both. Gundam made me realize that you don't have to like either just Real or Super Robots, both have their place and they both can tell important stories.
I believe you have already watched Braiger and seen my review on it so I think you know my opinions on it. I might eventually remove Gurren Lagann from my top 10 since I feel like other series have hit me much more emotionally than it has, but it might always have a legacy place on my list due to it cementing that mecha was and always will be my favorite genre.
Though it might not be apparent on my list but the Baki series is a series I really like, though I highly suggest you read the manga instead of the anime. The manga is much more brutal and the flow is better. The anime will probably be your intro to it and you will probably find it wonderful but compared to the manga, the censorship and omitting of details ruins it retroactively. While the series did not stay perfect forever, I still think it has some of the best fight choreography in a martial arts series. It is hard to explain but fights are clear and the techniques are based off actual moves with a healthy amount of exaggeration to keep you interested.
Hunter X Hunter goes without saying but it will eventually make my favorite Manga list once I get around to reading through it, I don't think there is much that needs to be said that hasn't already been said about it.
While I don't necessarily recommend these animes but I believe they are must watch if you really want to change your thinking on things: Zambot 3 and Space Runaway Ideon(Be Invoked is a must watch after the anime series as I consider it the best anime film of all time). I won't spoil anything but there are concepts in it that you probably haven't even considered in the realm of fiction or science fiction.
I especially like the Votom series as whole but it needs to be watched in a very particular order to fully appreciate it. While not as wide in scope as Gundam, it is pretty dang good and the story it tells is pretty unique especially the revelations towards the end.
I am always eager to elaborate on my picks but I wanted to stay mostly in the mecha genre. Hopefully you got your answer! c:
