That's alright! I'm doing well, thanks! I hope that you're doing the same

No worries. I even forgot that I sent you a request. It's no big deal since I don't do it anymore and don't see the point.

But thank you for accepting.

I'm doing well. I'm just casually reading and watching stuff whenever I can when it comes to anime and magas nowadays.

How about you?

uh..im in early S2 and i love the non-seriousness of the SHOW HAHAH...every supernatural show ive seen, TVD, TW, The Originals..and what else- they all were rather very thrilling...BTVS is somehwhat like a sitcom so its chill !!

omg ur comfort show for childhood..what shows did you grow up watching ???

heyy, hope youre well!
have you read delinquient manga before? i personally havent read that many but i do really enjoy the genre and wanna see more from it, but i've been slacking when it comes to reading 😭 rookies so far is really good, im really enjoying it so far! if youre a fan of the sports genre then its pretty much a treat bcz you get the best of both worlds! i like how things are handled in it and the growth of the characters, thats a pretty big one for me thats really enjoyable to see and feel like you're apart of, seeing em grow and make choices they wouldnt have before :>
but yeaaa, overall its an enjoyable read and if you do get to it, i hope you enjoy it!

The anime is so pretty, but I wanna test a theory and see if I prefer the manga.

I hope it gets a dub and finds a larger audience here in the US!

Glad to hear that Hirayasumi is getting some love! Unfortunately, I don't personally know anyone that has read it. I heard Hirayasumi's English volumes will be out in physical and digital formats from VIZ Media at May 21.

For now, I'm just reading old school manga that are overlooked from newcomers.

Hm just Dungeon Meshi (still ongoing) and Zetsubou no Kaibutsu (poor animation but interesting story)
Most of the other anime I watched the past few weeks weren't that great imo
injoong Mar 3, 4:43 PM

Since we last talked, I have read a lot of manga.
Hirayasumi is a great read for me.

I happen to resonate with it, especially after catching up to the latest chapter. Despite the shortcomings and tribulations of life, Hiroto and Natsumi find sanctuary with each other. I adore the mundane moments of their daily occurrences. With a sibling intimacy that inspires pangs of envy or catharsis in readers, the cousin duo often banters. Their banter shows Hiroto's childishness and Natusmi's solemn personality despite her young age. This is how Hirayasumi gives that resonating effect I love. It doesn't help that we don't know what our future holds which is prevalent with college students/young adults. We question the grasp of our future.

Good luck getting back into Rain World, when you’re in the right mindset. The early stages are the hardest to get into; over time you start to adapt to its world and systems, and things get a little smoother, though still quite unforgiving. It’s definitely worth sticking out.

Thanks for the horror suggestions! Signalis is on my list to check out, but the rest I actually hadn’t heard of before you mentioned them. Crow Country in particular looks interesting - I’ll keep an eye on its development.

As for games I’m getting, I probably won’t be buying a ton of new stuff for the next little while, just if something really interesting pops up. I tend to buy games from my backlog ahead of time, whenever there’s a Steam deal, and, especially after the Winter sale last December, I’ve got loads of titles that I own but haven’t touched yet. So I’ll probably try to work through those before this year’s new releases ramp up. But as for specific games, continuing the horror theme, I’ll probably be looking at Soma and the remade Resident Evil games pretty soon. Beyond that, no idea, just whatever I feel in the mood for I guess!

Monogatari is another show that's been on my radar a while, though I have no idea what it's about, just that its visual style and techniques get pretty wild! I'll get to it... someday.

One of the more noteworthy games I've played recently is Rain World, though whether I'd recommend it would depend on the person. It's a 2D indie survival game with a creative and surprisingly complex post-apocalyptic ecosystem, especially the AI! Every creature within it has its own mind, goals, interactions with other parts of the system, and sometimes even hierarchies or entire trading systems. You're meant to feel like just another part of it, near the bottom of the food chain, rather than "the main character" of the world. Accordingly, it also leaves you to figure out basically everything for yourself, but this and other elements do mean it can feel obtuse, unforgiving and even "unfair" on various occasions. Sometimes out of necessity for the experience, other times, less so. Took some patience to get into but it was ultimately very interesting, immersive, rewarding, and probably quite replayable, especially with the recent DLC characters.

As for things I'm looking forward to, Pacific Drive looks like a neat mix of a driving game with several other genres, and releases next week! I've also been getting more into horror games of late, so I'd like to continue those as well. Any games on your own radar now that you're back into them?
