Howdy!
Being a weeb has been a core part of my personality for most of my life and at this point I think it's too late to change this (─‿‿─) I've always found myself drawn to the medium of animation and the unique ways in which it is able to captivate, entertain, and inspire~
Below is a snapshot what each score means to me + all of my completed anime have tags with my main thoughts and feelings; I'd also be happy to hear yours :3c If we have a lot of overlapping favorites I'd love to swap takes and take recommendations!

[10] Spectacular
Connected with me at a deeply personal level while also delivering immensely high overall quality that can only be reached when every single aspect is finely tuned from beginning to end. They represent everything I love about anime and the heights of expression it is capable of achieving.
[9] Exceptional
Within close proximity of a 10 because they resonate on the same frequency, each with their fair share of 10/10 moments. I'd like to think they're as objectively amazing as I subjectively believe them to be. These anime raise, set, and define my standards. Something can be good, sure, but when stuff like this exists, is it really That good?
[8] Great
To reach this score is to clear the bar of excellence that I set for things to be considered personal favorites. They left strong impressions and succeeded in providing an overwhelmingly positive experience. An 8 feels like a very comfortable score for anime I came away from loving but want to acknowledge don't come within striking distance of a 10.
[7] Good
Your standard, bread and butter "I enjoyed myself" viewing experience. The issues I took with them feel like nitpicks relative to all their admirable qualities, but detracted just enough for me to not consider them favorites.
[6] Fine
Charmed me enough with their positive attributes to prevent them from falling any lower, but they end up living in the shadow of the higher scores due to larger issues that come to mind right alongside the stuff I enjoyed. Worth noting that the scale of good to bad is still tipped in their favor.
[5] Mixed
The midway checkpoint between the top and bottom of the list, anime end up here because they possess an even mix of positive and negative qualities in my mind.
[4] Flawed
Anime here possess prominent negative aspects that are detrimental to their overall quality. Despite having a decent amount of positive elements that I look back on fondly, they are unfortunately outweighed by their major flaws which become even more pronounced upon reflection. The scale of overall quality has officially tipped toward the negative.
[3] Bad
The issues here take up so much space they make their positive qualities feel out of place. Frustrating to sit through, what little enjoyment I got out of them felt like wasted potential. I may have a soft spot for certain characters or moments, but they are impossible to appreciate without taking everything else into consideration.
[2] Awful
A delicate score, as something that I felt was this bad might as well be a 1. However, despite leaving an overwhelmingly negative impression by the end, there are a few key redeeming qualities that keep these series from falling into the abyss.
[1] Abysmal
Reserved for anime I found especially difficult to tolerate. Felt as if they did almost nothing right while also doing pretty much everything wrong. They are particularly fun to pick apart and think over what exactly doesn't work and why. Viewing a 1 makes me appreciate everything 2-10 a little bit more.

Since as noticed you have Eva in your favorites, I'm just letting you know, that I recently just made a forum thread talking about Evangelion's use of visual motifs, symbolism, subtext, and etc. here: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2020103

the idea of trying to find your purpose in life instead of constantly questioning about things beyond our reach resonates with me a bit since i've been trying to live like that. i thought the side characters and their goals/roles reflect what people should value in their life. an example is someone like nemu and the value of educating yourself.
i've been really enjoying trying to find its symbolism and episode 6 hit like a truck. few shows i've watched that can exhibit something that haunting. i guess my favorite character so far is reki since i always thought she had something about her that they'll reveal later and do they that in episode 7
Oh, congratulations! We will have our virtual graduation on June 19 so not yet for me. :< Hehe, good luck and enjoy your binge-watching spree! :D
I'm good! I'm doing some photoshop, so that's why I can't reply to all messages.
