let me know whatchu think of sangatsu going through it, I was kind of mixed on it at first till 1 scene i think in episode 10 just made everything come together and I just fell in love with the show after that, the 2nd cour isnt as good but my appreciation for everything the show was doing made me love it alot too. The 3rd cour just blew me out of the water and if the 4th cour is as strong it might well get a 10 from me.

I only played a small chunk of xenoblade 2 back when it came out but other games and school got in the way, ill likley make more room for it after valkyria chronicles 4.

And if you never played xenogears absolutly play it, its one of my all time favorites, tonally and scale wise its pretty unlike any game ive played.

Long story short, the anime starts off with this really enjoyable premise about a dictator oppressing demons and trying to advance humanity above the races of demon and angel so that humanity would be the strongest, but the main character falls in love with the dictator guy in disguise and this is where the show starts to go not downhill but off a fucking cliff. Basically despite almost the entire cast and all the events weve seen the show starts to beat into your head that the dictator character is this massive fucking dindunuffin who was always with good inention, and if you dont agree with that its going to do everything in its power to prove this all the way down to making every single lovable character from the first series act like a complete and utter moron putting themselves in harms way to protect and defend the dictator character and his actions. TLDR basically the worst failure of a morally gray character in recent years.

And then the final icing on the cake, the final episode gives him an incredibly happy ending free of consequence cause fuck writing. It just reads like a new writer came on board and spited the previous anime's writer so they just shit on everything. The thing that makes it so bad is that i swear for the entire first 13 episodes it was really good to fine, then it just hops off a fucking cliff in quality and turned into this frustrating experience that goes against everything that made the original show have fans, thankfully its not just an unpopular opinion cause from episode discussions everyone seems genuinely pissed off

Just remmember to temper expectations for kiwami a bit cause it is basically just the first game where they placed new models and changed the battle system to 0's. Then again it is only 30$ for a reason, the big thing I am hoping it will improve upon is the main antagonist nishiki. He was a pretty good villain back in the first game but the big issue was we never got to see him bro out with kiryu more than a few minutes and then once kiryu comes back from jail hes changed into a more power hungry person. 0 has only made people want to see why nishiki goes down such a dark path cause frankly none of us expected him to be anywhere near as likable as he was in 0. Kiwami is almost only just a remake of 1 but apparently, there are 40 additional minutes of cutscenes to explain nishiki's decent and I pray they help make the final sections of the game stronger.


Also one thing to worry about with kiwami, is the mortality of the cast. back in 2005 when the first game was made quite a few characters are sort of just macguffins that die very quickly to motivate plot changes, 0 took those characters and fleshed them out to be more than just plotpoints, but in a way it feels that it only makes their small screen time before they are halphazardly killed off a bit worse especially since 1 super cool character in 0 diesoff screen after only one cutscene in 1.


After playing kiwami definetly consider working through the series from 2 onwards. Youll need to adjust to how drastically more simple the combat is and I hope 0 doesnt spoil just how excellent the series expands upon itself, but this whole franchise is so great and I'd argue its worth it just to get to yakuza 5.

yes they are worth it and they get less grindy over time if you spend the completion points to upgrade them at bob's shop right by pink street

this guy's videos are on point and I'm a big fan if you cant tell, I highly recommend all his stuff. His series called devious intent where he goes into exploring gaing villains is a reak treat and has made me greatly appreciate some antagonists I didnt before, though be warned those videos are immensely spoiler heavy

As for anime and stuff, aside from ongoing stuff I've been watching pretty much only yugioh gx just to get it finally off my watching list, when I get out of school im gonna spend 1 week just marathoning all i have left in a go. I've primarily been only playing games in my spare time cause of how insane this year is, right not tackling yakuza 0, ni oh, and persona 5 all at once and want to try and somehow see if I can beat all 3 before june ends.

I havent played too much of 0 I only just started it recently, its like my favorite franchise but I was sort of saving it up so you might be farther than me cause I only just started majima's character (and yes his introduction really is the best)

Frankly while I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs about this franchise I simply cannot do it to the same level of quality and information as this video


Do not get turned off by that length trust me on this, you really only need to watch the first like 10 minutes as most of the video goes into breaking down what each game in the series is like on their own, but honestly this video is so well put together it does not feel like an hour long.

The only warning I really have, is that make sure you can work backwards in gameplay mechanics, there's a couple things I dont like about 0 (or the remake of 1 which isnt actually that good apparently) being the first in the series for a new fan and thats largely a part of how its going to make the massive improvements the series takes with each game feel more minuscule, but also how 0's story is kind of based around the player having knowledge of who these characters are and how they are totally different from how they are in the other games, majima, for example, is significantly crazier in the main games so him in 0 is kind of a curveball. This is largely me as a longtime biased fan talking, anything i want to say is said in that video.

yeah automata was fucking great, platinumed the game only a few days after starting it. I absolutly adored 9s as a character, wasnt expecting him to basically turn into an expy of the protagonist from the first game drakengard. Ending E was absolutely amazing with its 4th wall break and musical track.

sure maybe sometime after break starts, uncharted 4 is adding in co op missions like 2 had so id love to play that with you.

I will probably devote alot of December to XV. I knew it was going to be the most divisive entry in the series but i have little doubt i wont at least give it an 8 especially when the people i trust the most for reviews gave this one

I'm loving where gundam is going, i dont trust mcgillis one fucking bit this episode. Everything he was telling to orga seemed so similar to the things he told gaelio, especially if orga follows through on his offer they are essentially setting themselves up for a battle against teiwaz. With lafter and akihiro actually getting confirmation of being a thing im pretty sure thats exactly gonna happen and one of them is unfortunately going to bite it.
