I started watching anime in around 2021, during the later stages of on-and-off lockdown, and more recently I also started reading manga. I'm still in school so I don't always have time to watch anime, but I do so when I get a chance. Any recommendations are welcome and I accept most friend requests even if they're random.
You can now find me on Anilist as well for more accurate ratings, and reviews. I'll still use MAL tho.

How I rate anime:
The way I give a score to an anime is by considering several aspects and how well each are executed; these are:
1) The Writing
- Story/Premise (how interesting it is and how it's expanded on).
- Storyline (the actual events of the story and how it keeps attention).
- Characters (how realistic or deep characters are, how they are developed).
- Script (how well the dialogues are written, as well as maybe its timing).
- Depth/World Building (how much the world of the anime is expanded upon).
- Themes (how well themes are presented and messages communicated).
2) Quality
- Art (how the show is drawn and its consistency in art and colors).
- Animation (fluidity of the animation and framing)
- Directing (how the "camera gets moved").
- Design (character design, setting desing, etc.).
- Music (how well music accompanies scenes, and maybe the OPs and EDs)
- Sound (not that important but sound fx?).
- Voice Acting (how well it expresses the character's emotion).
3) Enjoyment
- Simply pure enjoyment factor and emotional resonance, or maybe or much you connected to the story.
Writing is most important and the quality can bump up an anime a notch or two. Enjoyment factor is obviously pretty big when I'm judging comedies and such, but I try to be as objective as I can.

I would also like to mention that I often change around my ratings a lot (though usually by only one point, two max).
